Real Estate Round Table Work Strive Grind Like A Rock Star with TERANCE FULTEN
Terance Fulton started his career in building his financial empire when he was just 9 years old, pumping gas for money. His habit of earning money on the side never left him as he grew up; he sold candy and chips in middle school, and sold shoes when he got older. Although Terance made a good living with his day job, he knew he could do better. That’s when his friend pitched him ideas on real estate investing back in 2008 when the market just crashed. His friend told him it was the best time to buy, so he believed him, not because the sales pitch was great, but because he didn’t know anything about real estate. He spent the first few years learning about the industry and market, and by 2014, he took the plunge and became a real estate investor. By April 2015, he quit his job to focus exclusively on his real estate business. Today, Terance tells us his life story, his rough upbringing, and how he got into real estate investing. He shares the things that inspired him to change gears and explains how he runs his real estate business. “Important people don't look the way you think they're gonna look.” – Terance Fulton On Today’s Episode of Flip Talk: Terance Fulton Tips for Getting into Real Estate Investing: Resources Mentioned: Reach Out to Terance: FLIP TALK NEXT LEVEL IMMERSION We’re currently working on our FLIP TALK NEXT LEVEL IMMERSION on August 31 to September 1, where we can work out the issues in your business when it comes to growth, systems, hiring, and more. More Cool Lease Option Strategies with John Jackson
Known as the “Texas lease options guy,” John Jackson is the go-to guy for learning how to do lease options in Texas. To his credit, he has done over 600 lease option in Texas since 2003. He attributes his career and success in the business was all because of his daughter. Before embarking in the real estate business, John worked in the stock market, and he hated it. He only found the inspiration to quit when his then pregnant wife told him she was with child. He didn’t like the idea of paying someone to raise his daughter for him, so he quit, day traded at the comforts of his home, and raised his daughter. He eventually became interested in real estate initially as a means of alternative investing, but he has made an empire from it since. Today, John discusses why lease options are a great niche for financial success, why he didn’t go with wholesaling, and why he insists on deleting URLs from real estate forums. “Wholesaling is great, but you need to have some avenue to utilize your leads that you're throwing away and that's where lease options come in.” – John Jackson On Today’s Episode of Flip Talk: John’s Tips for Getting into Real Estate Investing: Resources Mentioned: Reach Out to John Jackson: FLIP TALK NEXT LEVEL IMMERSION We’re currently working on our FLIP TALK NEXT LEVEL IMMERSION on August 31 to September 1, where we can work out the issues in your business when it comes to growth, systems, hiring, and more. Paul Del Pozo is a proud member of the Flip Talk Facebook group. He started in real estate when he found himself in a 4-hour drive across states. What Lists Should You Mail To with COUNTRY MUSICK
More than his awesome name, Country Musick is known as an expert in real estate business. He says his parents were really interesting people and since their last name was Musick, they thought it was a great idea to name their child Country. Growing up, he had a slightly not-so-normal life, but nothing really difficult except when lawyers are needed to verify his name. Country prides himself for being self-taught, learning through countless webinars, reading books, and lots of videos from Youtube. He stumbled on the real estate business by accident way back in 2009. For 13 solid years, Country worked for a large power transformer company that provided him a sizeable salary. During his free time, he heard about podcasts and what they can offer, so he decided to try a few shows. He eventually got a show about wholesaling which led him to quit his job and start his own business around November 2009, a time when leaving a stable job was the last thing anyone wanted to do. Today, Country tells us how he runs his business, the tools he uses to make the job easier, the lists he uses for leads, and why he says it’s okay to have bad properties. Almost every single project, every home you that you buy, there are always unknown costs that come up.” – Country Musick On Today’s Episode of Flip Talk: Country’s Tips for Getting into Real Estate Investing: Resources Mentioned: Reach Out to Country Musick: FLIP TALK NEXT LEVEL IMMERSION We’re currently working on our FLIP TALK NEXT LEVEL IMMERSION, a two-day event where we can work out the issues in your business when it comes to growth, systems, hiring, and more. Building A Lease Option Empire With None of Your Own Money with Whitney Nicely
Whitney Nicely is a real estate investor who does most of her deals in Tennessee and Georgia. Her business runs on lease options, apartment complexes, and “random chunks of land.” Whitney said being a real estate investor runs in her veins as she drew inspiration from her very own mother. As a child, her mom always asked her to get the money from the mailbox so she thought real life was just like that. She enlisted in lease options school in her 20’s and learned how to buy properties with no money and no credit. She later started her business with her brother, and obtaining 19 properties under their belt within three years. Today, Whitney talks about her first deal, why she’s not a fix and flip dealer, why she doesn’t believe in credit score, and her tips for people who want to get into the industry. “I like long term relationships. I like that money over time instead of just a little bit of it right now.” – Whitney Nicely On Today’s Episode of Flip Talk: Whitney’s Tips for Getting into Real Estate Investing: Resources Mentioned: Reach Out to Whitney Nicely: Rate, Review, Learn, and Share Join us every Wednesday for a brand-new episode of the Flip Talk podcast. How To Figure Your Rehab On The Fly with Luke Weber
Luke Weber is a fix and flip real estate investor who first worked for a travel company. The stress, workload, and the 80-100 hour work weeks proved to be too much, so in 2001, he packed up and left that complicated world for a simpler life as a real estate appraiser. There, he went from filing forms to actually getting his own real estate license. He bought his first flip in 2003 and notes how getting the first paycheck gets you hooked. He flipped and bought rentals through 2005 as a part time job, stopped buying during the recession, and went back in the game by 2010 after the market recovered. He didn’t consider going full time until his father’s death in 2012 made him reevaluate his life and later decide to make his fix and flip hobby into a real company. Today, Luke talks about how he started in this business, the advantages of being an appraiser, his tips and advice for beginners, and why you should prioritize networking. “The biggest thing that people fail with is that they trust too much.” – Luke Weber On Today’s Episode of Flip Talk: Luke’s Tips for Getting into Real Estate Investing: Resources Mentioned: Reach Out to Luke Weber: Rate, Review, Learn, and Share Join us every Wednesday for a brand-new episode of the Flip Talk podcast. Talking Turnkey with Jared Garfield
Twenty-one-year-old Jared Garfield spent two years doing religious services, just got married, and was a broke college student. His desperation for an income source prompted him to call and order - what seemed at the time - a shady real estate course being offered on VHS. He learned how to buy properties with no capital, and landed his first deal before starting his real estate brokerage firm. He bought and flipped houses in Georgia in 1999 and his business has been resilient ever since. Today, Jared talks about his experience both as an investor and a mentor, his time with Robert Kiyosaki’s group, his thoughts on the past and future market crashes, and his strategy for acquisitions. If you weren't affected by the crash, it's because you weren't doing real estate.” – Jared Garfield On Today’s Episode of Flip Talk: Jared’s Tips for Getting into Real Estate Investing: Resources Mentioned: Reach Out to Jared Garfield: Claim Your Free Surprise Gift! Find Gold Where No One Else Is Looking with Larry Higgins
Larry Higgins is not like most real estate investors - he’s a young blood in real estate having only spent three years. When he started, he had an in interest in real estate so he can cushion his retirement. He never actually considered going full-time in real estate, though, at least not until he started working in a 9-5 cubicle job. He heard so much about being successful in real estate, so he decided to just jump right into it and see how far it would take him. He took a few seminars along the way, learned from the experts, got good at flipping houses, and never looked back. Today, Larry tells us how he got started, who mentored him and how it influenced his current focus, his strategy when it comes to finding gold in return mails, and his tips for beginners. “I love vacant houses, but sometimes they're occupied.” – Larry Higgins On Today’s Episode of Flip Talk: Larry’s Tips for Getting into Real Estate Investing: Resources Mentioned: Reach Out to Larry Higgins: Claim Your Free Surprise Gift!
