In this episode of the podcast I speak with head of strength & conditioning and sports science at Bristol City Football Club, Rhys Carr. I have followed the fortunes of Bristol City this past season as an old central defensive partner of mine is now there. Coming all the way up from non-league to the Championship and getting in the team of the year on no mean feet. Rhys is a really open guy and was happy to share what he has got going on down at Bristol City. At the time of writing this they are on the brink of winning League One so by the time it goes out Rhys and the players will no doubt be on the beach!

In this episode I speak with strength and conditioning coach to Edinburgh Rugby, Ashley Jones. I first got to know Ashley through Tom Mclaughlin after we were discussing future guests for the podcast. Tom mentioned how open Ashley was with his programme and his methods, so had to get him on. Pacey Performance Podcast #31 - Special 'Rugby' Edition
After the unbelievable success of the Special 'Football' Edition of the podcast, the natural progression was to get a couple of guys on for a rugby edition. Tom Farrow, Dan Howells and Sam Portland give their insight into a variety of areas when it comes to the physical preparation of rugby athletes. With such a varied background, all three guys speak candidly about their experiences and give a really rounded view of what its like to work in rugby, issues they encounter and how they get the best from their players. This was the first time I had covered topics which were put to me on Twitter so thank you to Stuart Roche (@stuartroche1), Laurent Sietz (@laurentbsietz), Ross Tarnowski (@rosstarnowski) & Michael Cheverton (@m_cheverton) for their input into this episode.
