The future of learning comes from our past

Send us a textWe go to schools to train our brains. We go to gyms to train our bodies.  Where do we go to train our emotions? The reality is that we train our emotions on each other. This, however, is changing with a new generation of teachers who integrate social emotional learning and somatic practices into their curriculum. In this episode, we hear from four teachers who are on the leading edge of education. Their inspirations are both ancestral and science-based. Future generations will have whole new vocabularies and practices to integrate their minds, bodies and hearts. Send us a textWhat does it mean to live and die well? Death is a topic we don't often talk about, but it's something we all must face.  We decided to ask our friend Linda Ong to share her perspective and experience as a hospice nurse, death doula and sound healer who had to navigate the loss of both her parents.   More about Linda:  Linda Ong is a holistic registered nurse working in Hospice since 2011 and becoming a Death Doula in 2018.  She specializes in the Art of Living and Dying Well and believes that when we learn to live well, we can also learn to die well.  As a Sound and Energy practitioner, Linda continues to study both Western and Eastern healing philosophies and loves to find ways to incorporate both to help others on their healing journey.  She recommends the book, The Healing Power of Sound, for anyone interested in learning to work with sound. You can follow her @lindanaomiong.--- Create an intentional practice with your own Gratitude Blooming card deck, notecards, candle and much much more at our shop at www.gratitudeblooming.com.
