Beyond mindfulness with UK psychotherapist and Misfit Robots co-founder Marianne Le Coyte Grinney

Send us a textWe are part of something bigger than ourselves. This week, we are joined from the UK by psychotherapist and co-founder of Misfit Robots Marianne Le Coyte Grinney. Together, we explore the systems of care that are essential to our mental health and the Gratitude Blooming theme of Sorrow, represented by the flower the Touch-me-not. Marianne reminds us that mental health at its most basic level is a simple way to talk about the health of our brain. Some simple practices introduced by Marianne to help get grounded: Pay attention to your screen time. Less is better. Get rest. And recognize that FOMO happens. It’s okay to feel and to figure out what will make you feel better. Lastly, Marianne introduced the practice of autogenics, a method to support relaxation. It means “coming from within”. The practice supports connecting to your own nervous system and to calm it down. Learn more about Marianne’s mental health work in web3 at https://twitter.com/MisfitRobotsCollect the ephemeral Touch-me-not NFT as a powerful reminder for what matters to you and a great way to support the show. Find encouragement to practice with the Gratitude Blooming cards in our metagarden community on discord: https://discord.gg/MeRrhxKax4We appreciate your support and help so we can bloom! Atomic Interactions with blogger Livia Chan, M.Ed

Send us a textEvery moment matters. Teacher and blogger Livia Chan learned early in life that you don’t know when it will be the last time you get to say goodbye to the ones you love. In her 20s, Livia lost her best friend and grandmother. Since then, Livia has made it a point to make sure to count her blessings by making every moment count. She calls these everyday moments Atomic Interactions.Valuing these small moments is a practice of healing or feeling into our wholeness. This conversation leans into the Gratitude Blooming theme of Healing represented by the Peony, which you can also collect as an NFT. https://mirror.xyz/gratitudeblooming.eth/6O3wcMnZBlEVjOgqapyeYGQXzOFFXAnCUiPGdVxLrNYFind more about Livia Chan’s work at https://livchan.com You can always find encouragement to practice with the Gratitude Blooming cards in our metagarden community on discord: https://discord.gg/MeRrhxKax4We appreciate your support and help so we can bloom! We are emotional beings with somatic coach Steve Seto

Send us a textEmbodiment practices are reminders that we are emotional beings before we are physical beings, according to somatic coach Steve Seto. He shares how your emotions are not something you watch like a television show, but something you experience directly. In mindfulness practices, there are times when it is good to be like a sky and watch the cloud of your emotions. Sometimes, however, we feel sadness or grief and all we can do is be the rain and let the water flow. Collect the Daffodil NFT representing Beautiful Sadness.Find encouragement to practice with the Gratitude Blooming cards in our metagarden community on discord: https://discord.gg/MeRrhxKax4We appreciate your support and help so we can bloom! Spiritual Protocols with Michael Preston

Send us a textProtocols are the basic set of rules that define how information can be exchanged whether it is a biological cell or the transfer of data between computers, even cryptocurrency. This week we explore the theme of Infinite Possibility, represented by the delphinium, and learn about spiritual protocols from Michael Pom Preston from the Winnemem Wintu tribe of Mt. Shasta in Northern California. He claims spiritual responsibility to the winnemem wywakit (McCloud River) and this is the spiritual background that he speaks from. He is also an enrolled member of the Susanville Indian Rancheria in Susanville California as a descendent of the Wada Ticutta Numu (Seed Eater Paiute), Modoc, and Ilmawi/Madesi Pit River tribes. He shares how ceremony and spiritual enlightenment are the highest technology there is, even in our day-to-day life. There are rules to it and spiritual bypassing is not allowed as a matter of physics.Collect the Delphinium Infinite Possibility NFT.Find encouragement to practice with the Gratitude Blooming cards in our metagarden community on discord: https://discord.gg/MeRrhxKax4We appreciate your support and help so we can bloom! The future of learning comes from our past

Send us a textWe go to schools to train our brains. We go to gyms to train our bodies.  Where do we go to train our emotions? The reality is that we train our emotions on each other. This, however, is changing with a new generation of teachers who integrate social emotional learning and somatic practices into their curriculum. In this episode, we hear from four teachers who are on the leading edge of education. Their inspirations are both ancestral and science-based. Future generations will have whole new vocabularies and practices to integrate their minds, bodies and hearts. Fortunately, it’s never too late to learn these integrated practices now. Melorie Serrano Masacupan, M.Ed is a writer coaching founders to tell their stories with her digital growth agency focused on organizational wellness.
