How do you coach a client who says, "Life's great. I'm sorry that I don't have anything to be coached on, today..."? I love those moments. You see, for most people, coaching is remedial. Tell me your problem. Let me help you solve it. Repeat. For me, coaching is not remedial but generative. "You don't have a problem. That's great! Let's have a chat and see what occurs..." I’m a scientist by training. I have a joint degree in Biology and Economics. And that background in biology meant that I spent hours and hours of the early part of my life studying, researching and experimenting in a laboratory. This episode is about the worst night of my life. Ever. And it happened just the other day. Before bed, I took a medication, and for about half an hour everything was fine, as I tucked in the kids and read them a bedtime story. Then something began to change... I didn't feel good and I lay down next to Monique. I didn't want to worry her but after a few more minutes, something began to feel seriously wrong. My vision was confused and then my arms and legs started to twitch and I couldn't stop them. I could no longer speak clearly. And then my face started making involuntary movements and twitching, too.
