Laurie is an extraordinary woman. She's been a Chief of Staff for a Fortune 10 company and she wants my advice on the book she's writing. But you know me... I don't play that way! You see, a great coach provokes their clients thinking, rather than validating it. A great coach gives their clients bigger questions to live into, rather than answering the questions they have for them. Tasha was an educator then and a registered nurse, for 16 years. She's Type A by nature – driven, highly organized, ambitious and impatient. She starts the coaching session by asking me about how to do less. You see, she doesn't want to go back to her old ways as she builds a successful coaching practice. I introduce her to a new distinction, “Less but better…” It’s a game changer for her. And in that moment – 90 seconds after we’ve begun – I realize that she needs to practice this, right now. My client, Soph Chiche, is a journalist, entrepreneur, author and psychologist, who founded a multi-million dollar business and is now building another. And as you become more successful, the pressure builds to be even more successful... Richard shows up on this call with a lot on his mind. He's speaking fast. You can feel his energy.
