The only thing worse than getting old is...

I recently read these words and they haunted me. I hope they give you the shake you need to bring more of yourself and your heart to this world.  The only thing worse than getting old is not.  Don't wait for one of life's great tragedies before you start living with intention, meaning and purpose.  Life everyday now, with heart.

Sure your goals are SMART but are they PURE?

If you're familiar with goal setting your goals are probably SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and time Based) but are the PURE.  I invite you to apply the PURE test to your goals. Your goals are PURE when they are: P - Positively Stated U - Under your Control R - Relevant (to your heartset and heartwork) E - Ecology (understanding who is affected by you achieving your goal, positively and negatively) Hope this helps in someway.  Always love  Ryan

Ep 160 Interview Sessions with Dr. Nick Elam

On episode 160 I am joined by Nick Elam, Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at Ball State University and creator of the Elam Ending, a new basketball format. Nick Elam, Ph.D. is a career-long educator. He prepares aspiring school leaders to serve in the field. Elam previously served as a school principal and math teacher. Along the way, Elam has served in a variety of roles in the sports world. In 2007, Nick devised a new format for basketball, whereby the final portion of the game would be played without a game clock as a way to preserve a more natural and exciting style of play. After years of researching and promoting this concept, the Elam Ending was finally implemented for the first time by TBT: The Basketball Tournament in 2017. Since then, the Elam Ending has grown rapidly throughout the basketball world, being implemented at the NBA All-Star Game, Canadian Elite Basketball League, and dozens of grassroots-level leagues and events.
