Stop Trying To Sound Smart
One of the things that I see new grads do all the time is to try and sound smart.
I did the same thing as a new grad and at the time I was just doing what I had learnt.
You use big words and medical jargon when explaining a diagnosis to your patient.
But whilst what you are saying might make sense in your head, always remember you are a physio, and your patient is not.
So whilst you think you sound more professional and by using fancy language you can sound more experienced it is often at the expense of making your patient confused.
Here's what to do instead!

The Only Way To Fix Tendon Injuries
Tendon injuries can occur anywhere in the body and are notoriously tricky to get a hold of…
And even more difficult to keep at bay, hence why we see so many reoccurring tendon based injuries.
The main reason most physio’s can’t fix tendon based injuries is because they are spending all their time and attention…
And all their patients time and attention on the WRONG problem.
Whilst protocols like eccentrics, isometrics and heavy slow resistance training have been proven to help tendon based pain…
They all miss one important thing!
Listen to today’s podcast episode to discover the big error 9 out of 10 therapists make so you do not do the same thing…
And learn what you need to do instead to not only fix your patients tendon pain…
But ensure this pain does not come back as so many tendon problems do!
Enjoy the show!
PS. Next month I will be showing a small number of therapists exactly how to identify and treat both the site AND source of any injury, including tricky tendon injuries.

Don't Forget Those Yellow Flags
Yellow flags are often forgotten about...
Falling in the shadow of red flags.
This in someway is to be expected...
As some red flags are a medical emergency and therefore need to be picked right away.
But yellow flags are much more common...
Yet are never given the time and attention needed in the subjective assessment.
Given the prevalence of yellow flags this just does not make sense!
In this week's podcast episode you will discover two key questions to ask each and every patient you see.
The answers to these two simple questions will help you identify any patient misconceptions about their injury...
And clearly identify your patients level of motivation, enthusiasm and likelihood of a successful outcome to treatment.
Enjoy the show!
