The gym is not your therapy

The more often people say "the gym is my therapy", the more I think "you could probably use some therapy." On today's podcast I'm bringing it to you straight, as usual, about exactly why the gym is not therapy, what the gym is, what therapy is, and what to do to help yourself or someone else who is using this language. Mental health struggles are already unnecessarily stigmatized, my hope is today's episode can free some minds.

A code of conduct to live by - Joey and Drew, Few Will Hunt

I drove all the way out to Philly to sit down with the founders of Few Will Hunt, an identity brand that just so happens to make some bad ass apparel. I found Joey and Drew years ago and have been following their growth since. The reason I call them an identity brand with great apparel is because their flagship shirt reads "everybody wants to eat, but few will hunt". It's a homage to hard work, and these guys cut zero corners. Today we talk about the beliefs behind the brand, why trusting hard work is a good idea, why they spent boatloads of money to bring every element of their product to be made in the USA, and so much more.

Losing weight, getting out of pain, and why the gym might not be where you should start

Fitness and nutrition are the topics that get all of the attention, but identity is the driver. You probably know someone who has started and stopped on their health transformation attempts more times than a 15 year old learning to drive on a manual transmission. In today's podcast Cody and I discuss why. Give it five stars, would ya.

We talk about: - Why Regenerative ranching is better for the planet, our health, and animal welfare. - What you need to ask a Rancher if you're thinking about buying from their stock. - The business economics of regenerative ranching. - The emotional attachment to animals who will inevitably be taken to slaughter. - How to slaughter animals in the most humane way possible, and why it's important we do. The mental health of our police is in crisis

The mentality of the public around policing is so variable. Some people are thankful for police, others think they should be defunded. Policing has always had its hot button moments, but the last few years has been relentless on the institution at large. On today's episode Jason Lacayo @therealjumpmanjay discusses why 2020 was a spark that was extremely detrimental to policing, the toll the job took on his mental health, and how he's using what he learned to help himself to help other first responders through the Reps for Responders organization.
