Disability Care Givers & Soul Care

Dave Deuel is a member of the BCC Council. He is Academic Dean Emeritus of the Master’s Academy International and Senior Research Fellow and Policy Advisor for the Christian Institute on Disability at Joni and Friends. In addition to teaching seminary classes and conducting interim pastoral roles, he serves on boards and committees that focus on ministry training and protecting and improving the lives of people with disabilities, including governor’s advisory roles in California and New York. Joy Forrest

Joy Forrest is the Founder and Executive Director of Called to Peace Ministries.  She is the author of Called to Peace: A Survivor’s Guide to Finding Peace & Healing After Domestic Abuse and the Called to Peace Companion Workbook. Joy holds an MA in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and has been active in counseling ministry since 2005. She has been an advocate for victims of abuse since 1997 and held the position of Community Educator with a local domestic violence agency in the early 2000s. Into the Light

“Into the Light” is a teaching documentary to help men and women move from enslavement to pornography to freedom in Christ. The film includes teaching from Jeremy Pierre, Deepak Reju, Heath Lambert, Jenny Solomon, Ellen Dykas, and Garret Kell. The teaching is interwoven with the testimony of a couple whose marriage was infected with porn and their journey to freedom. Filmmakers Jacob Valk and John-Michael Bout crowdfunded the creation of this resource to make it free for individuals and churches.
