Hurtful Words from Our Children
Our kids can really hurt our feelings at times and make us feel the need to eradicate certain language from their vocabulary. When they say they want a new mommy or they hate us or their siblings, we believe them; why wouldn't we? We're going to discuss why we choose not to believe them or take it personally and how we manage to let them have those big feelings and still come out with our connection intact. It takes a lot of practice but it has worked for both of us! Thank you so much for all the support on our Patreon, Facebook community group and Instagram!! We appreciate you all so much! Limits
If you're wondering how to teach right and wrong, how to encourage your kids to listen, "behave," and how to gain their respect, this episode is for you. We use limits to say no but we come with kindness and empathy so there is no severing of our connection with our children. Limits are the thing that freed us from feeling like we had to distract away the feelings, remain in control all the time and avoid certain situations, listen in and post your questions on our Facebook community page! I Won't Leave You
Are your children bored, antsy and having more big feelings during quarantine? When it all comes to a head, we want it to stop as fast as possible and so do they. They often tell us to go away, leave them alone or they go in their room until they're calm. But where did those feelings go? We're discussing why we tell our kids we won't leave them when they're upset and we choose to sit through it all. Michelle created a guide to empathy that helps guide you through what to say during the chaos. Don't forget to rate, review, subscribe and support us on Patreon for extras.
