Hire An Esquire Returns for LegalTechLIVE Episode 100
When we were just a fledgling little show with no community, Julia Shapiro agreed to join and tell us about her #legaltech startup, Hire an Esquire. This started a mutual friendship between her legal technology staffing company and LegalTechLIVE. Her company has grown and expanded significantly since that first interview in 2015. HAE maintains some incredible data on the legal industry including trends and forecasting. They joined us now, in October of 2020, which has not been the easiest of years for legal practitioners or anyone else for that matter. As we expect more of the same come 2021, I wanted to get a feel for the data HAE is seeing. We talk a lot in this episode about the following topics impacting the #legal community: chaos, adaptability and resiliency. Members of the HAE team joining us for this conversation include: CEO - Julia Shapiro COO - Catherine Enck Director of People Analytics - Eric Fox More About Hire An Esquire & our Guests: Julia Shapiro: https://www.linkedin.com/in/juliaclai.... Anthony Stevens Founder & CEO of Regtech Startup 6Clicks.io - LegalTechLIVE - Episode 099
6Clicks.io is a early stage startup addressing a wide range of compliance, risk management and regulation technology ( #regtech ) issues. Their risk management, governance and compliance software is quick to implement and easily scales to meet changing needs. 6Clicks has a variety of solutions for startups, enterprise, and government. We were only able to touch on a variety of #artificialintelligence creations by the company, in a 45 minute interview. One of the most interesting compliance solutions for those of us in the #legaltech space, is the Modern Slavery Compliance. Allowing a company to protect their supply chains from slavery risk with assessments linked to regulations built-in to 6clicks. We discuss this and more in this analysis, including, how they got the name 6Clicks. Spoiler alert... 6 clicks is not a lot of clicks. Which means it is pretty easy to set up this compliance and risk management software. Special thanks to first time co-host Josh Jackson of the The AI Association. Arbitrator Intelligence CEO & Founder Catherine Rogers - LegalTechLIVE - Episode 098
What if we told you the annual international arbitration market was worth $2 Trillion? Would that make you more interested in what this #legaltech #startup is offering? Would it help you to see the value? Arbitrator Intelligence Reports contain crucial data and feedback about international arbitrators and arbitrations. This information and related analytics enable users to make better-informed decisions about arbitrator selection and case strategy. Data in Reports can be used to narrow a party's pool of possible arbitrators to appoint, compare arbitrators being considered for appointment, and learn about arbitrators appointed by opposing parties or institutions. LegalTechLIVE has dealt with online dispute resolution options in the past, but we had not specifically dealt with international #arbitration and arbitrators. After learning more about the value of the matters in dispute as well as the lucrative nature of international arbitration, we think you'll pay closer attention to this market. Our guest Catherine Rogers has an impressive career in academia. She's also now the founder and CEO of this legaltech startup. She did what we'd like to see more startup founders do on the show... pitch her company and seek funding! Josh Maley, Founder of LegalTech Platform TheoremLTS - LegalTechLIVE - Episode 097
Josh Maley is the founder of Theorem LTS, what is billed as the first operating system for legal. His platform enables legal operations teams to enhance service delivery without introducing new systems, forms, or processes–while granting access to a whole new world of alternatives, connections and collaboration. One of the most difficult aspects for legal technology is law firms and vendors connecting with one another. Theorem LTS makes it easier for firms to identify the technology they need while helping vendors to be pre-vetted for firms. The TheoremLTS #marketplace remains neutral and works to make this experience easier for law firms, legal departments, and #legaltech vendors. Take a watch/listen to this episode to see what TheoremLTS offers. We were joined by #startup founder and CEO, Pieter Gunst, of Legal.io. It was his first time joining us as co-host and we think you'll agree that Pieter had some incredible questions, which always makes Nick uncomfortable. Female Founder Takeover LegalTechLIVE - Episode 096
In a first of its kind takeover, we decided to remove ourselves entirely from the experience and allow for an entire takeover hosted by four amazing female founders. Full creative control for the show, choosing of guests, and content was handed over to our host Kristen Sonday, co-founder & COO of Paladin, for the planning and execution of this episode. As you'll see, she knocked it out of the park. You will hear from a wide variety of legaltech founders in this episode. You may be familiar with past guest, Cami Lopez. She joined our show in episode 077 when her small claims guidance company was named CourtAm. The company has now changed names, and is known as PeopleClerk. Michael & Chris Founders of Personal Injury Damages Startup PainWorth - LegalTechLIVE - Episode 093
From tragedy to triumph? Or, is the saying "from tragedy to legaltech?" It is hard to say. In the case of Mike Zouhri, it was the difficulties from a motor vehicle accident, caused by a drunk driver, and the ensuing troubles of trying to understand the legal system and how to file a claim. Even after filing a claim, how do you determine the value of your claim? This is the problem Mike Zouhri and Chris Trudel set out to solve. Here is what PainWorth offers. PainWorth is the world's first fully-automated app that helps you calculate the potential value of your: Personal injury claim; car accident settlement; medical malpractice lawsuit; slip & fall injury or tripping injury; assault & battery injury. So, if you have ever tried to calculate your injuries and the damages associate with those injuries, you've probably found a lead generation tool on a law firm website that doesn't actually calculate the damages for you. Rather, puts you into contact with a law firm. PainWorth actually gives you court data to help you review similar claims and the amount of compensation for those claims. Check out this episode and see what this #accesstojustice #legaltech company is doing to build transparency in the court system by making data available to injured parties. #startups More about the Founders & PainWorth: Mike Zouhri on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikezouhri/.
