Federico Pomi and Daniel Rollingher of NFT Real Estate Startup Fabrica.land - LegalTechLIVE - 108
We envision a new era where buying your house, refinancing your mortgage or running your real estate business will be powered by technology instead of paperwork and rubber stamps. As it happened in other industries, software will give us more freedom by unlocking full control and flexibility of what we own. This is what Federico Pomi, CEO of Fabrica, and Legal Counsel, Daniel Rollingher joined us to discuss. At present, they are focusing on transferring real property where title is held in a trust. The trust is then transferred via #blockchain in the form of an #NFT. Florentina & Jacob Field CoFounders of Litigation Productivity Startup Prelimine - LTL Episode 107
Prelimine has created a drafting and editing tool specifically for litigators! LitKit automates tasks that waste litigators' time when drafting briefs and other legal documents so they can focus on substance rather than form. With Prelimine's LitKit, litigators can stop wasting time on redaction, citation, and formatting issues that are regular pain points for lawyers and paralegals, especially at crunch-time when that deadline is rapidly approaching. Another great aspect of this interview, is we finally got the episode where the tool was born out of necessity with the COVID-19 pandemic acting as the catalyst. After working from home in the middle of the pandemic, Jacob was able to see the headaches his litigator-wife, Florentina, was experiencing trying to format legal documents. He had a built in user to immediately test what he was developing! In this episode, recent guest Kristin Hodgins, joined us again as a co-host. Coming from her experience on the buy-side of #legaltech, she had some really great questions and feedback for these #startup founders. Chris Draper Managing Director of File Security Startup Trokt.com - LegaltechLIVE - Episode 105
Trokt stores Thumbprints of sensitive documents in its distributed network. A thumbprint is a #cryptographic hash number that determines a documents authenticity, at the time you applied the hash number. Demonstrating that a file's Thumbprint is held in Trokt's network proves – in nearly any court – that the file has not been modified in any way since the date and time it appeared in the Trokt network. Every file that can be instantly proven valid – or invalid – by Trokt reduces the need for costly forensic analyses. Storing file Thumbprints for rapid validation reduces the time and cost of compliance audits or incident response and forensics efforts. All Trokt file Thumbprinting processes occur on the machines that hold the sensitive files. No sensitive file is opened or held by Trokt. The only data that is sent to Trokt about a sensitive file is the irreversible file Thumbprint. Chris Draper is also a regular host on Clubhouse, where he has done a wonderful job of creating wide-ranging conversations on #legaltech, justice, and access to #justice issues. He's built quite the diverse community on Clubhouse discussing pressing issues where law and technology intersect in our world.
