In this episode of the One More Time Podcast, Drumma Jai talks about selling mixtapes at a car wash, dealing with prejudice in a small country town, making drums out of anything he could find, an impromptu trip to SXSW with Authentic Empire and more! Drumma Jai is the first producer guest on our show. He was born and raised in a small country town in N. Florida where he dealt with tons of prejudice as a bi-racial kid. After seeing the drumlins at FAMU, he immediately fell in love with the drums (no surprise based on his name). Believe it or not, Jai got his start DJing by after selling mixtapes out of his Tahoe that had enough sound system equipment for an arena concert. He made his way to ATL and DJ'd the club scene when he met Boomman and the Authentic Empire crew. In this episode of the One More Time Podcast, Woah talks about getting his start in radio and hosting parties, playing basketball with ATL music legends, transitioning to producer management, and his relationship with Rico Brooks! Woah manages a superstar roster of producers including Mexikodro, Tasha Catour, and many more. After getting his start hosting parties and working at a radio station in Alabama, he made his way back home to ATL and decided to pursue a career in music. He helped out with artists on the road, but ultimately found that managing producers was his true calling.
