In this episode of the One More Time Podcast, Drumma Jai talks about selling mixtapes at a car wash, dealing with prejudice in a small country town, making drums out of anything he could find, an impromptu trip to SXSW with Authentic Empire and more! Drumma Jai is the first producer guest on our show. He was born and raised in a small country town in N. Florida where he dealt with tons of prejudice as a bi-racial kid. After seeing the drumlins at FAMU, he immediately fell in love with the drums (no surprise based on his name). Believe it or not, Jai got his start DJing by after selling mixtapes out of his Tahoe that had enough sound system equipment for an arena concert. He made his way to ATL and DJ'd the club scene when he met Boomman and the Authentic Empire crew. With records on Foogiano and Euro Gotit's latest tapes, it is safe to say Drumma Jai is just getting started.
