How2Exit Episode 57: Adam Lyons - Acquisition Entrepreneur and CEO of multiple companies.

From Main Street to E-commerce, Adam Lyons has saved and scaled over 1800+ small businesses since launching The Smart Blueprint in 2020. How? Well, his magic ingredient isn’t actually magic at all, The Smart Blueprint is a 5-step surefire process for business owners — many of whom came to Lyons during the rough times of 2020, (like the Dungeons and Dragons Hobby Shop in Bastrop, Texas, which grew by 36,000% in the middle of the pandemic!)Beyond his own portfolio of growing companies, Lyons is an advisor for over 500 brands across the US and Canada. Lyons has been featured on the Today Show, The Steve Harvey Show, Forbes, and the NY Post. He has been awarded 2 different ‘Wicked Smaht’ Awards due to his innovative business strategies and multiple 2 comma club awards. Companies he has worked with include PepsiCo, Nike, Nescafé, Discovery Digital Networks, and many smaller brands. How2Exit Episode 54: Steve Divitkos - Founder of Mineola Search Partners and a Search Fund Investor.

Mineola Search Partners is a firm that invests in Search Funds, the entrepreneurs who run them, and the companies that they acquire.Prior to Mineola, Steve was the CEO of Microdea, a document management and workflow automation software company serving the transportation and logistics industry. Steve acquired the business from its original founders in 2014, and successfully sold the company to a strategic acquirer in 2020 after having served as its CEO for approximately seven years. During Steve’s tenure as CEO, Microdea’s equity value quadrupled, providing his investors with a 20% compounded annual return on their original investment. In his first 5 years as CEO, Steve doubled company revenue, achieving a ~15% compound annual growth rate, leading to Microdea being named as one of Canada’s fastest growing businesses for four consecutive years between 2014 – 2017. Since that point, he led the company’s transformation towards a subscription revenue model, growing revenue from recurring sources from ~40% of total revenue in 2014 to ~80% in 2020. He helped grow the company’s customer base to include 80% of Canada’s largest trucking companies, and one third of North America’s largest logistics companies. Under his leadership Microdea was ranked as one of Canada’s best places to work for 4 consecutive years between 2017 – 2020, when the company was named as the 46th best place to work in Canada for all companies with fewer than 100 employees. Upon his departure from the company in 2020, Steve had a 100% CEO approval rating on glassdoor.com.Steve received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and his BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he graduated with distinction. --------------------------------------------------Contact Steve onLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/steve-divitkos-76250b2a/Website: https://mineolasearchpartners.com/If you’d like additional ways to support this podcast, you can become a patron here: https://www.patreon.com/bePatron?u=66340956----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Reach me to sell me your business, be on my podcast or just share some love:Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ronskelton/Twitter: https://twitter.com/ronaldskeltonFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/How2ExitInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/how2exitpodcast/Have suggestions, comments, or want to tell us about a business for sale call our hotline and leave a message: 918-641-4150----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Watch it on Youtube: https://youtu.be/3BrDDj7wmqg----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Other interviews:Lane Carrick - serial entrepreneur and sold multiple businesses in his career: https://youtu.be/cAEGiqiieQwCarl Allen - M&A Expert with Over $47 billion in deals: https://youtu.be/VIU2Lqj_FY4Walker Deibel - the best-selling author of Buy Then Build: https://youtu.be/xoUH_IxeookMike Mausteller - Business Coach, Executive Coach, Trainer, and Speaker: https://youtu.be/yYLEAfafxWcSimon Bedard - Founder and CEO of Exit Advisory Group, M&A firm in Australia: https://youtu.be/obNiIbx5mJ0Kison Patel - CEO and Founder of DealRoom and and M&A Science Academy: https://youtu.be/VR4nSM8HT18--------------------------------------------------Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/how2exit-buy-don-t-build-m-a-of-small-businesses--4859429/support.
