Innovative and Passionate Leadership with Darren Rowe

Darren Rowe is the Chief Innovation Officer of Wamberg Genomic Advisors, an organization working to improve health, wellness, and longevity by delivering clinical-grade genomic programs and services to people around the world through their trusted employee benefits brokers and life insurance companies. Darren and I had a great conversation and really pushed in the belief that progress is possible in healthcare when we seek change through innovation and passion. We discussed problems in healthcare as well as the opportunities to drive change, the amazing innovation in cancer research, and so much more. Also, don’t miss the fact that I initially brought Darren on because one of his employees recognized him as a great leader. You will hear him demonstrate that through the things he says, and does, in the organization he serves. Give this episode a listen and then make sure to connect with Darren. 6 Convictions to Great Leadership

From a live webinar I recently I hosted, I shared the guaranteed ways to ruin your team as a leader and what to do instead along with the convictions that: 1. Our purpose in our organizations is to become a great leader that serves our people and our customers (no title required). 2. We must have the ability to draw others into the direction we desire for our team/organization. 3. We need to have the passion to believe what we are doing is right and the ability to convince others of the same. 4. We must have a continued desire to model learning and growth amongst our team and organization. 5. We must possess the qualities of a great leader including character, credibility, communication, and stewardship. 6. We must build a legacy for our team, our organization, and the clients we serve. Authentic Conversations Week 3 Live

Over the last few weeks, I have been getting a lot of questions from colleagues, clients, friends, and even strangers in regards to how I am doing during the quarantine. I felt like now was a good time to share my answers, and help other people answer these wonderful questions for themselves. After answering them last week on a live webinar, I decided to share the audio with you here. Here were the 8 questions I answered 1. What’s your life been like these last few weeks? 2. How have you found ways to succeed in the midst of trials? 3. How are you overcoming loss? 4. Have your habits and disciplines helped you, hurt you, or disappeared? 5. Who, or what, do you turn to when you have a bad day? 6. Do you need help? Can you offer help? 7. What are you building for the future? 8. What are some areas you are focusing on for growth? Give this episode a listen and let me know how you answered them for yourself. Finding your Fabulousness with Kyle Elliott

Kyle Elliott is a Career and Life Coach focused on helping people to find their fabulousness. He has served over 1,000 clients to date, been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, The Ladders, and The Muse, is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), and an annual Disneyland Annual Passholder (this is important to him!). Kyle and I had a fantastic conversation. We have been connected for some time and I have to say he is one of the most consistent people across every place I have engaged with him. I appreciate his passion for people, his joy for his work, and his commitment to do the best he can in everything he does. As we talked, Kyle shared some of the amazing ways in which he helps people find the best career for them (sometimes it’s within the company they already work at). Some of the other topics included: Why giving advice is not the first job of a coach. How his upbringing helped positively shape who he is. The necessity of work/life balance. Oh, and we dug into why he loves Disneyland so much. Make sure to give this episode a listen and then connect with Kyle. Dealing with fakers, defining success, and more with RJM

I reached out to my network to share questions they wanted me to answer. Here were the 4 I addressed. How do we continue to use the language of optimism in business, particular as consultants, to gain new clients when it has been co-opted by scammers and fake gurus? How do you define success? With your experiences, what are you surprised that you didn’t know early on? Meaning, what’s something that seems super obvious to you now but wasn’t super apparent when you were early on in your career? What is your opinion on when people say “It’s not personal, just business”? Check out this latest episode and let me know what you think!
