How to Assemble an Indie Team
At some point, most indie game teams dream of making a smash hit title but in the very beginning, they would always face some hurdles. It is fine if one is comfortable being a one-man army but to create something significant one may need to assemble a dream team.
When I started out, there was no specific guidance available regarding indie team formation or how to manage that and so I navigated the journey on my own for quite a while.
In this session, I will share my encounters and will focus on what to do and what not to do while bringing together people from different backgrounds, where to find the stakeholders and how to manage them, and how to find talents you’ve been looking for to join your team!

This is a summary of how to build a resilient, cost effective sustainable game development company in the 21st Century. The attendees should be able to walk away with a blueprint on how to get remote cultures and HR right that can be implemented and executed in their companies.

Fostering a People First Studio
Our relationships with our studios and the way we work for them are changing at a rapid pace.
For many, working from home has surfaced and emphasized how removed we are from our studio goals and teams, and it can leave us feeling undervalued, overtaxed, and disconnected - feelings that aren't healthy for the team member or the studio!
I believe this can be alleviated by taking a People-First approach to studio building and leadership - people as the co-pilots of the plane, not just the fuel. I'll address what people first is and isn't, and ways to incorporate it into your studio or production strategy.
Takeaway: Attendees at any point in their career will be better equipped to identify, work towards and/or advocate for a People First way of working. #gamedev #gamestudio
