EP 374: Danny Shannon - Do Things Differently
Host: Deborah Battista aka King13
Guest: Danny Shannon Creator of Encapsulator app!
Danny Shannon
'Do things differently'
Danny came from a beautiful family but that did not stop him using and landing in jail on multiple occasions. Buried deep in addiction and 49 attempts at rehab, this is a lesson in never give up. One Christmas Day around the table with loved ones, he splits to Kings Cross Sydney to 'get on' his word for using. Out of nowhere a miracle thought came into his head and he asked "what if I made a different decision"? So instead of seeking out drugs he got on the 431 bus to rehab and has not used since 15th September 2009. Danny's life is all about helping others giving back. He developed the Encapsulator app, a digital time capsule, recording future video messages to yourself. He loves working with groups, holds workshops and aspires to make others happy. This podcast is not only an engaging listen, it will leave you thinking what you can do differently to maintain your sobriety.

What is Human Design?
Human Design is a modern self-discovery system that combines elements from ancient wisdom traditions with contemporary science, including astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and quantum physics.
At its core, it creates a unique bodygraph or chart for each person based on their birth date, time, and location, similar to a natal chart in astrology. This chart reveals your "Type" (Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, or Reflector), which suggests your natural way of interacting with the world, as well as your "Strategy" and "Authority" - guidelines for making decisions that align with your authentic self.
The system aims to help people understand their innate strengths, potential challenges, and optimal ways of navigating life and relationships.

Host: Elaine Skylar Neal
Guest: Chris Wilson
Returning to Your Center with Chris Wilson
In this episode of Sobertown Podcast, guest host Elaine Skylar Neal is joined by sobriety coach Chris Wilson.
Chris is a fierce lover of the outdoors. He hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2016 and retreated to the Montana wilderness as he got sober from alcohol following an exceptionally high-stress career.
After growing up in Southern California, Chris was living the life many people seek - he was climbing the ranks into wealth and status as an executive for a major international corporation - but his reality was starkly different. Drinking heavily and saddled with the crushing pressures of working a 24/7 365 days a year type of job, his alcohol use was intensifying and his life was progressing in a dangerous direction.
Chris ultimately ditched his career, went on an adventure of a lifetime, focused on getting sober, and started practicing living life the way he wanted.
Today Chris is a life coach and specializes in Sobriety and ADHD, along with life transition and executive functioning. He works with people in recovery all across the world.
