Practice: get support to stick to your purpose and always keep trying, and practicing We chatted about the bonus P's: Pause: take time to process first and pause before responding to your inner voice or that of someone else's that is unkind or not helpful and Person: be a person who leans into trust. These will all bring you deeper and greater peace. Boost Your Mental Metabolism Just like food turning into energy (calories), your thoughts also turn into energy. You want to choose your thoughts wisely and tap into the power of reframing to look at situations from a new perspective. Do Less and Say No with Kate Northrup

DO LESS For all of you high-achieving, ambitious and uber productive folk out there, this is going to feel very uncomfy. As a recovering overachiever myself, i.e. workaholic, I know firsthand what it's like to measure feelings of worthiness, productivity and what seems like happiness based on your amount of 'doing'. We're here to tell you that this is NOT the route to inner peace, joy or success. Kate talked all about how she was smack in the face with this question during the hardest year of her life when her first baby needed a lot of her attention and all she had was enough energy to feed herself, and her daughter. Interestingly enough, during this time of being less productive was also her most successful year financially. She started to ask herself, 'Who am I if I'm not productive?'. This question changed her life as she started to unpack the myth about needing to be super duper productive to be successful. She started to focus on the 20% of her business that was most important that gets 80% of the results. This is called the Pareto principle, where 80% of the results typically come from 20% of your efforts. She started to see how obsessed our culture is with being busy and that we're immersed in a programming that doesn't value rest. Kate decided to create values that are not based on her productivity, and this is much of what she teaches today. YOUR WORTHINESS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK As mentioned above, a big ah-ha for Kate, was realizing that her worthiness (and yours as well) is not based on productivity or doing. As girls, many of us were taught that our worthiness was dependent on being pleasing to others. We would please others to prove we exist and are worthy. Until recent, women have been valued for more beyond giving pleasure, having a home and raising a family. Growing up with this kind of belief system left many of us women feeling the need to be people pleasers, have zero boundaries and work at all costs to be seen and successful. In my life, this leads to a total mental, physical and spiritual breakdown. Kate shared about her breakdown story as well. I loved Kate's definition of how she values herself and her time, she said that 'her life is in service of the Divine, of something greater. You can't be of service and there for everyone, we have to start by saying no.' JUST SAY NO For those of us recovering people pleaser (hello!), creating boundaries and saying no to others can feel like poking your eye out with your dinner fork. It's not fun and it takes practice. The problem is that we don't have unlimited hours and we need to start following our own inner navigation system. Kate discussed how she uses her menstrual cycle and the moon in a very beautiful and powerful way to track and create personal policies that help create boundaries around her time and energy. Kate has created a daily energy tracker to see what has worked well, what didn't and focus on her learnings. For example, she realized that one of her favorite ways to spend time off was to go to the beach with her daughters. Today she has Fridays off for beach time with her children. She has created these policies for her business and personal life, and they have allowed her to expand, reach more people and only say yes to what really moves her. Heal: A Documentary About Healing Within with Kelly Noonan

Kelly Noonan Gores is the writer, director, and producer of HEAL, a documentary feature about the mind-body connection and our body's innate ability to heal. She also authored the follow up book HEAL which has twice the content of the film. A Los Angeles native, she grew up in front of the camera acting on and off in commercials, TV, and film from the age of 7. In 2012 she started Elevative Entertainment with the intention to create conscious media that informs, inspires, and empowers. She has a passion for psychology, wellness, and spirituality and an insatiable appetite for understanding consciousness. As such, she has spent the last 18 years studying the teachings of luminaries like Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Ernest Holmes, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and many more. Her intention with the documentary is to empower people to take control of their health back and demonstrate that almost anything is possible if we believe it is so. Kelly is a seeker, a meditator, and enjoys traveling, sports, reading and writing. GETTING OVER SELF-DOUBT Kelly shared so openly that while she had dreamt of creating a documentary with her favorite teachers about health, from an integrative perspective, it took years to take action. She talked about Brene Brown's work helping her to move through this voice in her head that can be negative. I loved Kelly's powerful quote that "self-doubt is the original pandemic". You've got to surround yourself with non-egoic people and remember that your heart's desire is here to be fulfilled. We're all so grateful Kelly listened to her heart and pursued her passion as she created one of the most powerful documentaries about the power of our bodies to heal themself. If you haven't yet watched this film, it's a must. She surrounded herself with a small but mighty team who were supportive. She had a clear vision and passion and talked about surrendering to the experience and the Universe's greater plan. Loved this quote, "If your calling is strong enough, follow the chills, messages and signs, and trust that the Universe will provide the pathway to make your calling come to life." YOUR ENERGY IS EVERYTHING Kelly interviews some of our most influential healers, practitioners, physicians, naturopaths, and brilliant scientists, like Dr. Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, Peter Crone (make sure you tune in to my interviews on the You-est You podcast with these three), Anthony Williams, Dr. Joe Dispenza and many others, on the power of our own ability to heal and align to wellness. The book that influenced Kelly the most was The Biology of Belief, by Dr. Bruce Lipton, which in essence states that we're not the victims of our genes. Our thoughts affect our energy and by changing your thoughts and actions, you can change your energy in the electromagnetic field. Another key aspect to understand is that between 0 - 7 years old, we're like sponges downloading other programs from our parents, school, community, religion, etc. At least 70% of this programming is limiting and negative. This then becomes our subconscious programming and what's needed to make real change is breaking the generational patterns. Your genetics are just a blueprint; your prediction of the world will color the lense of looking at life. YOU ARE MEANT TO HEAL We are co-creators with Life. Life will nudge us and tap us on the shoulder. You can listen to the nudge or wait until your wake up call is a disease, a broken bone or an accident. We have a lot more control over our health. It's never your fault for having a disease, it's always created at the subconscious level. The most powerful tools for healing are love and gratitude. Love is the highest healing energy and love is our source. When we align to source energy, we can heal. Don't forget that we are designed for tough times like this. Choose Love: Heart-centered Living

There's a lot of energy going on right now between our all being a little over a year into the pandemic, feeling out how to best care for our bodies and those we love, and how to boost our immunity and keep our spirits high. In this episode I share ways to tune more carefully into your heart's inner wisdom and how to come from love versus fear, no matter what is going on. RELEASE YOUR TRIGGERS: I share my practice in how to identify triggers, see what's really going on underneath the surface and how to let your heart share what you really need to heal. This journaling practice has been transformative and a game changer for greater healing. SELF CARE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE Self-care is not selfish, it's the opposite. It's time to start rewiring the way you look at caring for yourself; mind, body and spirit. We are a triune being, needing attention, care and nourishment for all three of these aspects of ourself. Listening to Your Soul with Christine Kane

Meet Christine Kane Before Christine Kane founded what became a multi-million dollar coaching company, she spent fifteen years in the music industry, producing seven CDs and a DVD on her own label while touring the globe over 200 days a year. The Kindness Diaries with Leon Logothetis

Meet Leon Logothetis Leon Logothetis is a humanitarian, best-selling author, and cause-adventurer. He is the host of the Netflix series "The Kindness Diaries", where he circumnavigated the globe on his vintage yellow motorbike "Kindness One," giving life-changing gifts along the way to unsuspecting good Samaritans. All of this while relying solely on the kindness of strangers. In February 2019, a second season of the series was released, this time with Leon traveling from Alaska all the way to the bottom of Argentina. The show is currently being streamed on Netflix in 190 countries Leon's greatest passion is combining adventures with great, meaningful causes. He teamed up with First Book® and drove a car from London to Mongolia, raising money to buy 10,000 books for underprivileged children. He drove a vintage London taxi across the states, giving free cab rides to the needy and working with Classwish to bring hope back to schools. He has collaborated-for-a-cause on web-series for Southwest Airlines, Little Things, and Trivago, garnering millions of views and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for those in need. Leon has documented his travels for numerous media outlets, including Good Morning America, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Outside, Good, Psychology Today, and The New York Times. His best-selling books "Amazing Adventures of a Nobody", "The Kindness Diaries", "Live, Love, Explore," and "Go Be Kind" are in stores now. Where Kindness Begins Leon Logothetis started this inner journey after waking up realizing he had everything on the outside but felt empty on the inside. He decided to dedicate his life to finding his authentic self and essentially "unlearn everything we were taught." This is a great question to ask yourself, what would be helpful to unlearn so that you can feel even more connected to your You-est You? Where can you begin to be more kind? To interject random acts of kindness into your life? How can you be more intentional and speak words of kindness daily? We have to train ourselves to live more purposefully in a kind manner, not just to others but also to ourselves. Expanding Empathy Some of the most powerful takeaways from our conversation: Your life is not about living someone else's dream. Spend time in stillness, in nature, and silence to hear your own dream. The secret sauce of kindness is empathy. There is no problem being as successful, wealthy, or famous as you can be. Just make sure you are basing everything on empathy, kindness, and compassion. There needs to be a bigger purpose in fulfilling any dream, goal, or desire. Find that bigger purpose, and hold close to it. Leon shared that he was a bit doubtful at the beginning of his expedition from Alaska to Argentina until he heard his inner wisdom say, "You are doing this because others will be inspired to be kind." This larger 'why' helped him in difficult times of doubt and fear during the rest of his trip. True wealth is in your heart. Never forget that. Publicity Hacks & Don'ts When looking to gain publicity, there are some basic dos and don'ts. Keep in mind that you don't need a huge platform to pitch the media or do interviews. You do need to focus on your main topic and offers. Selena explains that you'll want to be thoughtful and strategic about your focus, especially if you have multiple offerings. Don't pitch topics. Instead, pitch story ideas in an exciting headline format. When pitching your story, describe your idea with a few bullet points so it's clear and concise. Less Is More I talked to Selena about how she grew to a 7-figure business in such a short amount of time. I loved her answer. Less is more, don't get caught in the shiny object syndrome. Simplify and stay focused. Eliminate whatever is not your essential heart-centered offering. Pour your attention into what you're doing. Stay laser-focused and create excellence in one area. Success is a Healing Path with Rev. Frances Fayden

Why Judgment is Toxic with Julie Reisler

Take time for a sacred pause to feel to heal, and let go of judgment of yourself. * Share authentically with someone you trust whatever is most uncomfortable. Don't let judgment of yourself get in the way. * Doing an inventory of stored up feelings like anger, resentment and frustration is an excellent way to give space to what's going on below the surface. The important part is not to judge yourself or any feeling that emerges. All is well. * The healing will happen in your feeling and in revealing how you feel. *The ego lives in fear and judgment. You and I are either in fear or love. * The acronyms to remember: EGO (Edging God Out) and FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) The Power of Forgiveness * We are all made of energy. Unexpressed emotions remain as stored up energy in your cells and can lead to deeper frustration, resentment, stress, despair and even illness. * Forgiveness, first for yourself, and then for others, is a powerful way to change your own internal energy. * Look for the bigger picture and a wider lens of whatever is needing your forgiveness. Imagine your listening to a friend tell you what you are working on forgiving yourself for.
