Alissa Schwartz, Holistic Psychotherapist, Soul Coach, President & co-founder of The Holistic Center for Soulful Living, is also the visionary leader and executive director of the non-profit Soulful Living for Recovery 501(c)3. Alissa's life's work and passion is to help individuals, families & the greater community HEAL, raise awareness, educate and help others to evolve into their greatest potential using an integrative psycho-spiritual approach to care! Alissa works to bridge western medicine and eastern philosophy using an integrative approach to care! She believes in a balanced approach to healing and dreams of a world where medicine meets mindfulness and spirituality because THE BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE SOUL!
Anna Miranda, a Psychic Medium, Interfaith Minister, and Hypnotist, began her spiritual journey at the age of 16 after a profound spiritual awakening and near-death experience. Since her experience, she has dedicated her life to the study of metaphysics. She is also the founder of The Miranda School of Intuitive Arts. Her school offers development classes and certifications in healing and intuitive arts. Anna serves as an intuitive guide by psychically tapping into your soul's imprint and vibrational resonance to help you become more aware that your soul is the divine student living in the earth school.
Rhea Spina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Reiki Master, and Spiritually Psyched co-founder. She incorporates complementary and alternative modalities of treatment to support overall awareness and wellbeing. Rhea brings conscious attention to our soul-based self through Reiki, Vibrational Sound Therapy, Drum Circles, and Psychoeducation. Rhea aims to empower individuals on their journey towards self-actualization.

I was joined by three new kindred sisters talking all about wanting to bridge the world of spirituality, mental health, and human consciousness. Get ready for an insightful convo!
A Grounded View of Spirituality
I talked with Alissa Schwartz, Rhea Spina, and Anna Miranda about the importance of making spirituality practical. Anna Miranda, a renowned psychic medium, shared the practices that help her stay grounded and spiritually connected, which are traditional mindfulness practices and prayer. She sees prayer as the biggest form of connection in action and takes time every morning to talk to her soul and a Higher Power. Prayer can be whatever you want it or make it to be. Spirituality should be an active part of our lives and something we participate in small ways regularly, and prayer is just one way to easily add it into your life.
The Powerful Lessons from AddictionAlissa Schwartz had a beautiful take on defining addicts, which was that "addicts are frustrated mystics looking for spirit in the wrong places." In other words, addicts are often some of the most highly sensitive and spiritually connected individuals who are cut off from that connection due to blocking it with whatever addiction is prevalent. As was shared in this conversation, Anna also shared how addiction was the vehicle for her soul's purpose. Rhea explained that the real healing in addiction (or from any past trauma) comes when you can love the parts of yourself you wish you could change. It's about forgiving all of yourself first. Forgiveness is an empowering aspect of soulful living.
How To Decipher Your Intuition
The cornerstone of an intuitive knowing, download, or inner voice is that it will always be a subtle and calm voice that feels like pure truth. You will typically notice it in your body first. Intuition grows and is nurtured in stillness. Taking time for mindfulness practices and meditation will help cultivate fertile ground for you to hear, feel and decipher your intuition. Growing your intuition through meditation is a perfect means to practical spirituality and relaxing into soulful living. It covers so many bases, and the benefits are only positive.
Raising The VibeThis point really stuck out to me; we all thrive when we're connected. It's time to connect more not only to ourselves but also to one another. Spiritually Psyched has launched their podcast, Spiritually Psyched, to help raise the vibration of the planet, connect more hearts and create space for others to feel safe, authentic, comfortable, and free. Alissa ended us on a beautiful note-that she hopes the 'mind, body, spirit' language is someday a language all of humanity is proficient in.
