The Best Funnel For FULFILLMENT
When it comes to funnels, most marketers would think of it as purely for customer acquisition. But here's one of my biggest realizations for the past year: You can utilize funnels in so many ways! And the first thing you have to do is do what the market leader is doing. That's it. It's just ridiculous not to copy how leaders acquire customers. Come to think of it. When you straight out clone the content king, you also limit the number of variables you're risking. And customer acquisition is something you should not gamble on in the first place. From there, you can use the same customer acquisition funnel to make an EPIC funnel for onboarding and fulfillment. And in today's episode, I will describe in detail what I mean about this. Still Solving the “Obscurity” Problem 6, 7, 8, and 9 Figures Later...
You could have the most incredible product or offer, but if no one knows you - you don’t have a list - that's a big issue. Whether you are a small or large business, we all dream of having that big list, of solving that big obscurity problem. I know because I still get the same question, “How are we going to fill in the funnel?” even from big companies. I remember looking at the industry leaders and saying, "Man, if I just had their list, all my problems would go away.". But boy, I was utterly wrong. Yes, having a larger list helps. But if you can't do it with the smallest list, how would you know how to do it with a big list? How would you pull the money out of your audience? So if you're not where you want to be, look at it as putting in the reps or the "mat time", and it's what most of us know as practicing the fundamentals. And once you've put in the reps, you'll eventually face the same problems, use the same process, but just better at solving them. Getting Funnel Traffic Is A Matter Of Messaging...
When I first started, I kinda looked at internet traffic as this magic thing that only some could crack. I mystified it in my mind. But now, after millions in sales online, I'd say that traffic is 'solved' by messaging. Bad messaging = sucky traffic and vice versa. Ads do not solve a traffic problem as many businesses tend to do. Ads are just an accelerant, but messaging is at the core of your marketing and traffic. If you need more traffic, you must figure out the messaging better. So the question is how you get your messaging right? By learning what your dream customers are searching for and standing in front of those searches. That's it…. it's that easy! Don't create something and then ask how you can get people to see it; you've already lost at that point. All you do is create what people are looking for already. Distribution Channels Go On A Balance Sheet
Think of the most valuable assets a company creates. Of course, we think of the offer, the list, branding, etc. But as I've begun buying companies, if they don't have some kind of distribution channel that they've created, my interest in purchasing drops heavily. I'm looking at the distribution channels as much as I'm looking at the P&L and other financials. If the distribution channels are in place and big enough, I can use my 12-step offer and launch framework to flip the company around. If a company doesn't have established distribution channels, they better have freaking amazing financials for me to continue considering it. Here’s what I mean... Using Funnels In Company Acquisitions
Funnels can be used to guide a user through many things. The obvious ones are leads and sales. The not-so-obvious is fulfillment and onboarding, but now I'm using them for company acquisitions. Here's what's happening… I've been asking myself what's in play for me in the next 5 years that I can get so focused on to delete 80% of everything else, which is a super hard thing to do, but I've done it anyways. We've just started buying partial or full companies at certain stages and fixing them up.
