Whether you are a small or large business, we all dream of having that big list, of solving that big obscurity problem. I know because I still get the same question, “How are we going to fill in the funnel?” even from big companies.
I remember looking at the industry leaders and saying, "Man, if I just had their list, all my problems would go away.". But boy, I was utterly wrong.
Yes, having a larger list helps. But if you can't do it with the smallest list, how would you know how to do it with a big list? How would you pull the money out of your audience?
So if you're not where you want to be, look at it as putting in the reps or the "mat time", and it's what most of us know as practicing the fundamentals. And once you've put in the reps, you'll eventually face the same problems, use the same process, but just better at solving them.
