Healing Insecure Attachments in Relationships
Healing an insecure attachment is key to developing healthy long-lasting relationships with others. Those who have been raised by emotionally abusive, or neglectful parents, have been conditioned to live in fear. Childhood abandonment wounds that go unresolved manifest as codependency, insecurity, a need to please, and a fear of abandonment. One who suffers from an insecure attachment will find it impossible to trust. They may become jealous and seek constant reassurance from the ones they love. To heal, from an insecure attachment style, it is essential to identify this in yourself as a starting point. From there, recognizing the behaviors that drive people away, and fuel your need for reassurance can be accomplished through a commitment to healing the wounded inner child, as well as consciousness. In reality, all beings are enough and the only thing that is wrong with them, is their programming. The journey back to the divine self, requires an awakening from the false self. 6 Questions a Narcissist Cannot Answer With A Straight Face
In this podcast, you will learn about 6 questions a narcissist cannot answer with a straight face. As we navigate through life, we encounter different types of people. Some are kind, empathetic, and caring, while others are self-centered, manipulative, and narcissistic. Narcissists have an inflated sense of self-importance, lack empathy, and constantly need admiration and attention. They can be charming and charismatic, but they can also be emotionally abusive and toxic. Identifying a narcissist early in a relationship is essential to avoid getting trapped in their web of manipulation and abuse. Narcissists rarely admit when they are wrong because they believe they are always right. They have an inflated sense of self-importance and believe they are superior to others. Admitting they are wrong would mean acknowledging that they are imperfect, which they cannot accept. Narcissists rarely apologize because they believe they are never wrong. They see themselves as victims and believe that others are always to blame. Apologizing would mean taking responsibility for their actions, which they cannot do. Narcissists lack empathy, which means they cannot understand or share the feelings of others. They are only concerned with their own needs and desires and have no regard for the feelings of others. Narcissists cannot handle criticism because they see it as a personal attack on their character. They have a fragile ego and cannot tolerate any form of criticism or rejection. Narcissists have difficulty accepting responsibility for their actions because they believe they are always right. They blame others for their mistakes and refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Narcissists have difficulty maintaining healthy relationships because they are only concerned with their needs and desires. They use others for their own benefit and have no regard for the feelings of others. Identifying a narcissist early in a relationship is essential because it can save you from emotional abuse and manipulation. Narcissists can be charming and charismatic, but they can also be emotionally abusive and toxic. They can make you feel like you are the problem and that everything is your fault. Trusting your instincts and looking for red flags early on in a relationship is essential. Toxic relationships hinder your personal growth. Narcissists use manipulation to mess with your psychology. To help you maintain your mental health and wellness, it is important to work on your personal development, and to learn what you can about healthy as well as toxic relationships. The more you know and understand about narcissists, the greater your chances of avoiding a toxic relationship. Childhood emotional neglect can have a profound impact on our lives and relationships. We can live an entire lifetime and never recognize how our childhoods may have impacted our adult lives. Childhood emotional neglect is a type of childhood trauma that occurs when caregivers do not meet a child's emotional needs. Emotional neglect can take many forms, including ignoring a child's emotional needs, failing to provide emotional support, or failing to validate a child's feelings. Emotional neglect can be intentional or unintentional and can occur in families of all backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. Children who experience emotional neglect may grow up feeling disconnected from their emotions and struggle to identify and express their feelings. Narcissists Make You Sick; Here's How
Welcome to the Lisa A. Romano Breakthrough Life Coach Inc. podcast. In this episode, we will be discussing how narcissistic abuse can make you sick. Narcissistic abuse is a form of emotional abuse that can have a significant impact on your physical and mental health. When you are in a relationship with a narcissist, your emotions are constantly being manipulated, which can hijack your reticular activating system. The reticular activating system is a part of your brain that controls your attention and focus. When your emotions are being manipulated, your brain is constantly on high alert, which can lead to an increase in cortisol, the stress hormone. This increase in cortisol can have a negative impact on your nervous and immune systems, making you more susceptible to illness and disease. Furthermore, narcissistic abuse can lead to a range of physical symptoms, including headaches, digestive issues, and chronic pain. It can also lead to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. If you are experiencing narcissistic abuse, it is essential to seek help and support. This can include therapy, life coaching, support groups, and self-care practices such as meditation and exercise. It is also important to set boundaries and prioritize your own well-being. Remember, you deserve to be in a healthy and loving relationship, and it is never too late to make positive changes in your life. Thank you for listening to this episode of the Lisa A.
