168: Dr. Kristie Overstreet - What does a sexologist think is the surprising link between trust and intimacy?
Dr. Kristie Overstreet is a clinical sexologist, psychotherapist, author, speaker, and consultant. With over fifteen years of clinical experience, she has developed best practices for transgender healthcare. Her mission is to educate every behavioral and healthcare worker to provide dignity care for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Overstreet has written three books on improving relationships and is the creator of the Ideal Intimacy Method, which helps women get emotional and physical intimacy without sacrificing their needs. She is also the creator of the Transgender Healthcare Dignity Model training and certification program, in addition to various online courses for healthcare providers to improve their competency in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. Her new book Finding Your True Self: A Guide to Gender Acceptance will be published in 2019. She serves as a national contributor to CNN, Psychology Today, Readers Digest, Your Workplace, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and various other media.
Overstreet holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology, Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, and Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is a licensed counselor in California, Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana, as well as a certified sex therapist and addiction professional. She is founder and president of Therapy Department, a virtual wellness practice that provides counseling, coaching, and consulting throughout the world.

Talia Gutin is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through The Co-Active Training Institute and the first-ever “Mindful Coach” on the MindfulMFT team. She has studied from and continues to learn under Vienna Pharaon's expertise, and has also received extensive training in Somatic and Relationship Coaching, Leadership Development, Mindfulness, and Neurolinguistic Programming.
Talia came to MindfulMFT in order to offer sessions to people who are not based in New York but are drawn to the approach and style Vienna Pharaon and the team offer. Talia offers video sessions to individuals in order to bridge geographical constraints while still offering the MindfulMFT approach.
In addition to the above, Talia is a 300 Hour trained yoga teacher and incorporates principles of Yoga and Meditation into her approach as well. 162: Rome Shadanloo - Are you the medicine you need?
Rome Shadanloo is a psychedelic therapist specializing in CPTSD and attachment injury. She studied holistic psychology and has a focus in psychoneuroimmunology working to ease chronic pain rooted in the emotional life of the mind. Rome’s practice includes the various modalities of internal family systems, reparenting work, quantum healing and she is a certified death doula. Her unique empathy for the individuality of each nervous system laid the ground for her practice which supports the healing of the individual not just from their psychology outward but through a fully embodied approach to the restoration of a healthy life. Her desire to be of service led her to a life in mental health and from an early age, Rome found herself called to be in connection with those who struggle. Rome received a degree in holistic psychology from Lesley University and went on to do extensive work in the field in a variety of roles at Proposition 36 rehab facilities that specifically serve the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated, including on-the-spot counseling for those in urgent crisis.
Rome was born in Tehran, Iran, and fled the tragic conflicts there for the US at the age of 3. Her family settled in Los Angeles where she currently resides and practices. She has a deep interest in the multi-faceted groundbreaking modalities that are currently changing the way we view and treat mental health. She works with people of all ages in various stages of need.

Jade Alectra is a yoga teacher who helps people awaken what’s been sleeping by embarking on a journey of self-acceptance, love, and growth. She currently teaches classes in Southern California and leads workshops and retreats around the world.
Jade found that yoga helped her heal from past hurt, trauma, and heartbreak, and she decided to become a yoga teacher to help guide people home to themselves. Rather than telling people to “leave things behind,” her emotion-based teaching style encourages people to work through it on the mat.
