The Most Effective Ways to be More Productive

Becoming more productive really comes down to focus and clarity but with so many different things you could be working on, you'll easily be pulled in too many directions. In today's episode, I'm sharing with you the ways you can start working more efficiently which will ultimately mean more time and financial freedom. Three tips to take away from this episode: 1. We have to remember that we are in control of our schedules. Make sure everyone on the team knows what they are working on and uses this important strategy for reducing distractions. 2. You want to hold your team accountable for completing their responsibilities. When you expect that they use this time management strategy I'm talking about here, you know what they are working on and when. 3. Intentionally create time in your schedule for the specific purpose I mention to prevent everyone from getting pulled away from their most important revenue-generating tasks to take care of something that could be done an hour or two later instead. Just like so many other things in your business, intentional productivity is a system. Overcoming Indecision

I hear all the time "my team can't make decisions without me." I always challenge the CEO to identify if that's the real issue. Oftentimes it's that they're not ready to let go of control and are becoming the bottleneck for the team's autonomy. It becomes so much easier to let go of control when you've gone through a specific decision-making process and are able to teach your team to do the same and set them up for success. So today we're talking about How to Overcome Indecision and Empower Your Team. You think your team isn't capable of making decisions. Or when they do, you question it and wonder why they did what they did. Especially when you are considering bringing a team member into a leadership role and you're both unsure they can make decisions according to your standards and expectations, the prompts I'm suggesting here are helpful in reflecting on what stepping into that role would mean and will empower you both to make decisions confidently. 3 key takeaways you can expect from this training: The important role gut instinct plays in decision making. How to Create an Org Chart Even if You're Still Hiring

You need to have an organization chart for your small business (even if you're still hiring). When everyone reports to you there is no way to keep the expectations and communication clear. You end up micromanaging and somehow it still seems like things aren't getting done to your standards or your team is confused. Imagine having a maximum of two people reporting back to you with a summary of the status of different projects. You still know about any challenges and the things are getting done.
