080 - Seeking Validation: Are You Playing an Outside-In or Inside-Out Game?

We all share a universal human need to be loved.  And sometimes we can feel pressure to do (or have) certain things in order to feel accepted by the people we care about or look up to.    I get it – self-doubt, imposter syndrome, comparison, fear of judgment – all this stuff will take a mile if we give it an inch.  So, we’ve gotta be really discerning about what (and whom) we allow to validate us as women.   In today’s episode, we explore the only two options for seeking validation and approval – externally or internally. Listen in as I explore what it means to seek external validation vs. internal validation, and how we can be more intentional about what’s guiding our self-perception and worthiness.   P.S. Have you heard the big news?! The Motherhood Podcast is getting a makeover! Stay tuned as big changes are coming to the podcast name and cover art.  No worries – we’ll still be serving you the same great content 3x a week!   TAKE THE PERSONALITY PATTERN QUIZ - Personality Quiz 1-ON-1 COACHING: From Insight to Outcome - Life Coaching with Michelle CHECK OUT MY FREE 5-STEP MORNING ROUTINE FOR MOMS: My 5-Step Morning Routine MOTHERHOOD VILLAGE FB COMMUNITY: The Motherhood Village MOTHERHOOD INSTAGRAM: @michellegrosser.coach  “I love The Motherhood Podcast!” ← if that sounds like you, please consider rating and reviewing our show!  This helps us support more women, just like you, on their motherhood journey.  Click here, scroll to the bottom, tap to rate with five stars, and select “Write a Review.”  Then be sure to let me know what you loved most about the episode!— >>> 💌 DOWNLOAD THE NERVOUS SYSTEM RESET GUIDE 💌 <<<

075 – Want Real and Lasting Change? Here’s How to Unlock the Mind-Body Connection

In order to actually create new thoughts, behaviors, feelings, and emotions, we must access our somatic intelligence.  Somatic = relating to the body. It’s one thing to conceptually understand how you want to show up in your life, but it’s a whole other ballgame to actually be able to do it in light of the patterning of your nervous system. Change and growth that’s focused only on the mind, i.e., cognitive learning, will only get you so far because you’re leaving out the rest of your body from the neck down.
