#263 Solo episode: Vipassana, an important announcement, and the epilogue of Personal Development Essentials podcast.

Welcome to Personal Development Mastery podcast episode 263. This episode holds a unique record: it is the briefest episode of the podcast so far. For the following couple of weeks, the podcast will temporarily go back to having only one episode a week. The reason is I am going to attend a 10-day Vipassana silent meditation retreat. This will be the first time I am doing something like this - I have been feeling an inner calling to do it for quite a while now; and finally, the right opportunity has arisen. I am going to record a special episode after the retreat has ended, discussing why I’ve decided to do this and what my experience and learnings were. All I will say now is that I am fascinated by the prospect (and the challenging trial) of dealing with nothing else but my own mind for 10 consecutive days. One last thing: Maybe you know that before Personal Development Mastery, I had another podcast called Personal Development Essentials, which I was presenting with my co-host Paul Greig Smith. Recently, after a long hiatus, we published the final episode - the epilogue of the podcast. It is a resounding call to adventure, crammed with a steady flow of incendiary information that is guaranteed to light a fire under your ass and help adrenalize your inner voice.   Listen to it here:Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/PDEpodcast Spotify: https://bit.ly/pdeepilogueSupport the showCareer transition and career clarity podcast content for midlife professionals in career transition, navigating a career change, career pivot or second career, starting a new venture or leaving a long-term career. #261 How to rewire your brain. (Personal development wisdom snippets)

3 In this new series of episodes called "Snippets of Wisdom", I select my favourite, most insightful moments from previous episodes of the podcast.  The snippet of wisdom I chose for today comes from one of my most highlighted episodes, #170 with Bob Doyle, who is best known for his contribution in the film and book “The Secret”, as a featured law of attraction expert and coach.  The conversation took place in August 2021, and there are many impactful moments and much usable wisdom in it. This snippet is about our auto-pilot behaviours, and how to use mental rehearsal to rewire our brain and step out of those automatic, unconscious responses that we have.  𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:⁣ * Train yourself to become aware in a way that a disempowering emotion is a trigger for you * The magic of our brain: you get to rehearse a different way of being ahead of time * The reason why personal development has such a tremendous failure rate * Fill your mind with the vision of the future and allow it to empower how you're feeling  𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀:⁣ Listen to the full conversation in episode #170:https://bit.ly/pdm_170 ⠀ For a FREE ebook containing the best practical insights and implementable action points from the podcast:PersonalDevelopmentMasteryPodcast.com/ebook  𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁:⁣I am Agi Keramidas, a zealous podcaster and a knowledge broker. #257 How to change your limiting beliefs. (Personal development wisdom snippets)

2 In this new series of episodes called "Snippets of Wisdom", I will be selecting my favourite, most insightful moments from previous episodes of the podcast. The snippet of wisdom I chose for today comes from the early episodes #037/38 with Rob Scott, a master-level mindset coach. There were many impactful insights from the conversation. This snippet is one of the best descriptions I’ve heard about mindset, specifically about how our beliefs shape our reality. Rob used the analogy of a lens to describe it. I believe that the wisdom shared in this message will be very valuable to help you comprehend, in a practical way, an abstract concept like limiting beliefs.  𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:⁣ * The two functions of a lens - altering what we see is only one of them * Looking at our limiting beliefs, rather than looking through them * How to change your limiting beliefs  𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀:⁣ Listen to the full conversation in episodes #037-38:https://bit.ly/pdm_037 ⠀ For a FREE ebook containing the best practical insights and implementable action points from the podcast:PersonalDevelopmentMasteryPodcast.com/ebook  𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁:⁣I am Agi Keramidas, a zealous podcaster and a knowledge broker.
