Episode 209 - Dr. Briana Botsford on Women‘s Health, A Sense of Connection, and Motherhood
Dr. Briana Botsford (@docbribots on IG) is a Naturopathic Doctor in Edmonton with a passion for helping her patients solve their health mysteries. As a member of the local triathlon community, you might catch her in full spandex on the weekends cycling or running in Edmonton’s glorious river valley. She has a family farm north of the city where she grows an epic vegetable garden in the summer. Because of her interest and participation in sport, Dr. Botsford completed her education focus in sports medicine. As her career progressed, she began working with more and more women, who may or may not be athletes, but also have health issues. Her special interest is in women’s health and performance and she works with all humans to achieve their peak health and optimal well-being. Dr. Botsford loves to explain things. She strongly believes that doctors are teachers and wants to help you understand your health concerns. She believes information is power and when you know more, you can live better! Before she became an ND, Dr. Botsford had issues with severe menstrual pain that would make it impossible to train properly and caused her to take time off work. Mood swings and a history of depression left her questioning the impact her hormones were having on her quality of life. Seeking care from a ND allowed Dr. Botsford to successfully compete in ironman triathlons and inspired her to go back to school to become a naturopathic doctor. Episode 206 - Chris Fudge on Working Hard and Going Fishing
This episode with Chris Fudge (@cthefudge) would be perfect for a brand new trainer or someone who is less than 3 years into their career. Chris Fudge is one of the most humble trainers in Canada for the level of experience he has and that is something I genuinely admire about him. Episode 205 - Mark Zarate on The “Look At Me” Guy
This is Mark Zarate’s (@zaratefitness) 5th appearance on The Lifestyle Chase. In this episode we talk about the “Look At Me” Guy and the dangers inauthentic behaviours in pursuit of ego, fame, and wealth can play on a community. We really lean into the value of showing up in ways where you feel comfortable and how getting aligned can help set you up for growth in life. We talk about the tough love of being able to take care of yourself first before holding other people to taking care of you. We also talk about what 2025 might look like for Mark as a way of reflecting on our habits, the way we see life, and the direction we’re going. Episode 204 - Mike Doehla on Why We Do “This” and What Matters Most
This might sound a bit biased but if you’re in the industries that Mike Doehla (@mikedoehla) and I are in, you should listen to this podcast. This episode truly exemplifies the purpose, vision and values of The Lifestyle Chase. We recorded this about 30 minutes after I received news that my aunt (who was essentially my grandma) passed away the night before. I shared with Mike that I’d maybe seem a bit distant because I wanted him to know what was going on in case I seemed a bit off. I never want people to feel like I don’t value their time or that I’m not engaged in the conversation and he was one of the best people I could have ever recorded with that day. We talked about how Facebook and Instagram crashed for a day, and what we learned from it. He shared with me the emotions that fatherhood brings him as a new dad. We discussed how meaningful it is to do what you love in life and how he wants nothing more than to see more people enjoy their work and have happy lives. I’d love it if you shared this one on social media. Tag @mikedoehla, @christianliddle, and @thelifestylechase www.invigoratetraining.com {This episode is dedicated to my Aunt Helen. She loved cats and she had a warm energy that made everyone feel loved. I’ll make her proud one day.} Get full access to Insight by Chris Liddle at chrisliddle.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 203 A Solo Episode with Chris Liddle Telling You Some of What Pays The Bills
The full explanation for this solo episode is that I had previously recorded with Will Crozier and the audio didn't record - only video. So him and I will record a brand new episode in the near future. I had pre recorded an episode with Mike Doehla that had already been produced as Episode 204, so to make life easier, I came up with a replacement Episode 203. In this episode I reflect on the last few years and give a detailed run down of some of the things that pay my bills. I say some of the things because I have worked very hard this past year to line up a lot of opportunities so if you know me personally you might see me in more roles than what I mention here on the show. I talk about the importance of enrolling people your goals and knowing your value. It's a bit of a ramble but if you enjoy it, it would mean a lot if you shared it on social media and rated the show on apple podcasts. Thank you so much for checking out the show. Episode 201 - Patrycia Rzechowka on Reframing Situations and Seeing Life Through Someone Else’s Lens
Patrycia (@rzechowka on IG) was first on the show waaaay back on November 29, 2018! It was Episode 15 and life was very different, yet at the same time, not entirely different. Not many people take the time to consider what life would be like for someone with MS. In a time when people are getting upset about their rights and freedoms, they are rarely considering how their actions can put someone like Patrycia in danger. Patrycia is a champion at reframing situations and putting her best foot forward. We are all allowed to have a bad day, but when we are able to see that life is short and time is precious, attitude matters. I highly encourage everyone to go to Patrycia’s website http://patryciarzechowka.com to learn more about her and definitely go back and listen to Episode 15 as well here.
