Why I'm 100% Bought Into Urban MVMNT Way of Doing Business
As many of you know, I found CrossFit early in 2006, started a brick+mortar CrossFit affiliate in 2011 and after making enough money to buy commercial property in Charlotte, NC...I moved my gym and rebranded it as Urban MVMNT.
The goal was simple, take the played-out CrossFit model and make it better.
We improved the fitness offering, got rid of the intimidating stereotypes and redefined the client experience for a microgym.
Slap on some amazing branding and marketing and we have a fucking monster on our hands...and I couldn't be more proud of it.
And soon enough, you might be able to join this MVMNT. Stay tuned.

Street Parking's 30,000 Online Clients & Growing with Miranda Alcaraz
I first had the pleasure of meeting Miranda + her husband Julian back in 2019 at the Iron+Mortar Summit in Portland, OR. They delivered a keynote that I was completely intrigued by regarding the growth of their online programming model, Street Parking .
And then after a recent episode of the WTF Gym Talk SHOW, where I analyzed their business model, I decided to reach out for an interview so I could get the full story and learn how they've grown this entity to a customer base of 30,000.
Enjoy!

Box+Flow Creates A License Model
I first interviewed Olivia Young, founder of Box+Flow, back in 2018...back before COVID-mania...back before she had opened her brand new location...back before her brand had really hit full stride and ready to scale.
So I decided to catch up with this amazing female entrepreneur and learn how she's managed to stay afloat in the NYC marketplace (which has been hit the hardest with studio closures) and learn about her license model that she will be using to scale the brand.

I May Be Wrong But I Doubt It: Stu vs. Sean Pastuch
In the newly revamped segment of I May Be Wrong But I Doubt It - a podcast where I debate individuals on various topics within the fitness industry,
And on this episode, I've got my friend and colleague Sean Pastuch, founder of Active Life Rx, to come on as we debate my stance that fitness professionals need to embrace the idea of being the BEST GENERALIST, that being the 'best coach you can be' is a probably a big waste of your time - depending on where you are on your business journey.
Sean respectfully disagrees with several of my core tenants here and we're gonna get into a healthy debate and unpack this topic, so sit back, relax and watch how two ridiculously good looking and intelligent humans can disagree with one another, and still be friends.
