Through His sacrifice, Jesus took the punishment that we deserved. He took our place so that we could be forgiven of all our sins. We couldn’t pay for it or earn it, so He came to be our righteousness. Jesus willingly laid down His life for ours, and we have now been restored to life and adopted into His family! It’s easy to think there’s plenty of time, but eternity is closer than we realize. For some, this life is the closest they’ll get to heaven. For others, the best is yet to come. As followers of Jesus, we have the privilege of knowing that earth is not our forever home. When we are generous, God will expand our hearts in unimaginable ways.
