3 Acts of Worship | Love on Display Part 2

We were created to worship our Creator, and our worship does not find its fulfillment in anything other than Jesus. Acts of worship can be costly. They can cost us time, money, and other resources, but these sacrifices fulfill the definition of worship: to give all of yourself for all of Jesus. 3 examples of acts of worship: 1.) Serving Jesus is an act of worship. 2.) Sitting with Jesus is an act of worship. 3.) Sacrificing for Jesus is an act of worship. Join Pastor Chad Glover as he shares examples of these acts of worship in the Bible and how we can live them out daily. ● Connect with us on Social Media ↴ Facebook: / abundantlifels Instagram: / abundantlifels ● Be a part of the Great Commission: https://livingproof.co/irresistible/ More information on our sermons: https://livingproof.co/sermons/ Do you want to see your life changed by Jesus? The Rocks Will Cry Out | Love on Display (Part 1)

Apart from Christ, we are born spiritually stone dead. It’s Christ who makes us spiritually alive—living stones! 1 Peter 2:5, “…you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” As living stones, we can worship God in 2 ways: 1.) We put His love on display through giving generously. 2.) We put His love on display through sharing the gospel openly. Jesus alone has the power to give us life. If the rocks could cry out His praises, they would never stop testifying about who Jesus is and what He has done. Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he shares how we can worship God by putting His love on display. The Christian’s Role in Government

Why should Christians be involved in government? Godly people engaged in government influence godly outcomes. Examples of Christians in government abound, including Joseph, Daniel, and Nehemiah, who brought godly outcomes even in ungodly governing systems. In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us to be the salt of the earth. Because the Church is no longer “salty,” our society is decaying morally and spiritually. How can Christians be the salt of the earth? By seeking first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). As Christians, our allegiance must first be to the Kingdom of God and the multi-ethnic family of God. If we seek the Kingdom of God first, we will think biblically, not merely politically. The Church needs to repent of political idolatry, compromise morally, and spiritual apathy. Only then will the Church again become “salty” – the moral conscience of society. Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he shares biblical examples of Christians in government and practical ways we can be “the salt of the earth” in politics. Don’t forget to click the “bell” to SUBSCRIBE to get more videos like this to grow your faith! ● Connect with us on Social Media ↴Facebook: / abundantlifelsInstagram: / abundantlifels ● Connect with Pastor Phil ↴Facebook: / philhopperkcInstagram: / philhopper_kcWeb: https://livingproof.co/about-us/pasto...● Be a part of the Great Commission: https://livingproof.co/irresistible/ More information on our sermons: https://livingproof.co/sermons/Do you want to see your life changed by Jesus? The Call to Go | Matt Carter – Send Network

Matt Carter is the vice president of mobilization for Send Network, a partnership of people planting churches everywhere for everyone. Before joining Send Network, Matt founded The Austin Stone Community Church, which sent over 300 full-time missionaries to unreached people groups around the world during his time there.   The Great Commission is a call for all believers. Send Network exists to help believers fulfill the Great Commission by reaching cities with the Gospel, making disciples, and planting churches.   3 reasons why every believer should engage in the Great Commission:   1) Jesus commanded us to.  2) We have future brothers and sisters in Christ who have not heard the message.  3) Our generation has such a small window of time to make an impact on the Great Commission, and then it’s over…   Join Matt Carter as he shares what God is doing through Send Network and encourages us to engage with Jesus’ commands in the Great Commission.   Don’t forget to click the “bell” to SUBSCRIBE to get more videos like this to grow your faith!   - Connect with us on Social Media ↴  Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/abundantlifels/  Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/abundantlifels   - Connect with Pastor Phil ↴  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PhilHopperKC  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/philhopper_kc/  Web: https://livingproof.co/about-us/pastor-phil/   Be a part of the Great Commission: https://livingproof.co/irresistible/   More information on our sermons: https://livingproof.co/sermons/   Do you want to see your life changed by Jesus? The Heart of a King: The call of a leader

Leadership Principle: The call of every leader is to prepare and pass the mantle of leadership to the next generation. In 1 Kings chapter 2, David sets the example of leaving a legacy for the people behind him. To pass the mantle of leadership to the next generation, we must give them 3 things: 1.) Spiritual tenacity. Spiritual tenacity demands a warrior’s mentality – the opposite of spiritual apathy and passivity. When we fail to pass the mantle of leadership and spiritual tenacity on to the next generation, they start to walk in spiritual apathy. 2.) Spiritual integrity. Spiritual integrity means living obediently to the Word of God and the God of the Word. As we pass the mantle of leadership, we must teach the next generation that the blessing of God comes only through obedience to God. 3.) Spiritual legacy. Our legacy should be a family tree spiritually that stretches clear into eternity. We should all have a family tree spiritually that leads the next generation to the Lord Jesus! The Heart of a King: The Confidence of a Leader

Leadership principle: Kingdom leaders are consecrated to their cause because their confidence is in God. God’s calling is for us to build an altar with our lives. He wants us to consecrate our lives to Him. You’re consecrated to that which you’re willing to give your life for. God’s calling is for us to live a life of sacrifice. There is no such thing as a cheap sacrifice. A faith that costs nothing will accomplish nothing. David refused to bring an offering to God that cost him nothing. Every part of our life belongs to Jesus. Following God’s calling for our lives demands more than a commitment. It demands a cross. We must be consecrated to Him if we are going to follow Him. It is not too much that we should give our lives as an offering for the one who offered His life for us! The Heart of a King: The Character of a Leader

Leadership Principle: The most effective leaders lead with a “limp.” The strongest leaders have learned they’re too weak to lean on themselves. They have learned they must rely on God. Developing the character of a leader often requires a time of character refinement and growth in difficult situations. God grew David’s character in a cave so he could handle the pressures of the crown. How does God refine the character of a leader in a cave? 1.) In the darkness, God shines the light on the hidden idols of our hearts. 2.) In the darkness, God shines the light on our pride that tries to hide. 3.) In the darkness, God redeems us from self-sufficiency and offers us refuge and protection. 4.) In the darkness, you discover what it means to be a worshiper. The character of a leader is often produced in dark and lonely places. God was preparing David to wear a crown through the darkness of a cave! The Heart of a King: Building Your Inner Circle of Friends

Leadership Principle: The Law of the “Inner Circle” says those closest to the leader define the success of the leader. Choose your inner circle of friends prayerfully, carefully, and wisely! 3 questions to answer as you choose your inner circle of friends: 1.) Do they have a heart for God? Jonathan’s heart connected to David’s heart because they were both men after “God’s own heart.” 2.) Do they have a heart for the vision? Jonathan recognized what God was doing in David’s life. He gave him his royal robe and sword, recognizing David’s anointing as the next king of Israel. 3.) Do they have a heart for you? Jonathan and David made a covenant with each other that extended to their families and their children, promising to always be for each other and never against each other. Do you have an inner circle of friends that have these qualities? Join Pastor Phil Hopper as he shares the characteristics our inner circle of friends should have and how friendships can build leaders up or tear them down. The Heart of a King: Defeating the Giants in Your Life

Leadership Principle: As a leader, your courage doesn’t come from a lack of fear but a lack of self! A giant represents anything that comes against what God is trying to do in and through your life. The giants you let remain in your life will try to rule. How to Defeat the Giants in Your Life: 1.) Recognize your enemy. 2.) Remember who fights for you. 3.) Respond by faith. Jesus came to set the captive free, but Satan desires to take the free into captivity. Since we are not strong enough to fight independently, we need a Savior. When you believe that God is faithful, trustworthy, and a promise-keeper, you will see a victory over the giants in your life! The Heart of a King: Lessons on Leadership from the Bible

Leadership Principle: Your character, not your accomplishment, is the most important part of your leadership. God rejected Saul’s leadership as king because he cared more about his fame than God’s name. Studying lessons on leadership from the Bible, we see that God cares most about our hearts because our hearts define our inner character (See 1 Samuel 13:13-14). Your identity inwardly defines your activity outwardly. We can learn valuable lessons about leadership from the Bible by examining the life of King David. David’s predecessor, Saul, looked like a strong leader, warrior, and king. But he was very cowardly. What did God see in David’s heart? David had a heart of humility. David had a heart of fidelity. David had a heart that longed to be holy. David had a heart that beat courageously. God has a plan for you to be a kingdom leader in some capacity. Like David, you have been anointed with the Spirit of God for leadership in the Kingdom of God if you have received the Son of God! Like David, God is calling us to worship, and He’s calling us to war. Join Pastor Phil Hopper to explore what we can learn about leadership from the Bible by examining the character of a leader in the life of David.
