The Society of Actuaries (SOA) commissioned Milliman to develop this report to provide health care stakeholders (patients, payers, policymakers and actuaries) with a comprehensive description of Direct Primary Care (DPC) as well as an objective actuarial evaluation of certain claims made about the DPC model of care.   Today we sit down with one of the authors of the study, Fritz Busch, a consulting actuary at Milliman. She was born and mostly raised in Albuquerque. She completed high school in Hawaii and earned her Bachelors of Nursing from the University of Hawaii. As an Army Nurse, she specialized in Pediatrics and spent most of her Army career in the Neonatal Intensive Care. She has also lived in South Carolina, Virginia, Texas and Washington, DC. She moved to Amarillo in 2013 and practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in a pediatric clinic that mostly served Medicaid and refugee patients.   Having always been attracted to alternative treatment options, in 2015 she was able to join Well Life Family Medicine and start her journey into all the things Integrative Medicine has to offer.
