The Podcast by and for Long Covid sufferers. Long Covid is estimated to affect at least 1 in 5 people infected with Covid-19. Many of these people were fit & healthy, many were successfully managing other conditions. Some people recover within a few months, but there are many who have been suffering for much much longer.Although there is currently no "cure" for Long Covid, and the millions of people still ill have been searching for answers for a long time, in this podcast I hope to explore the many things that can be done to help, through a mix of medical experts, researchers, personal experience & recovery stories. Bringing together the practical & the hopeful - "what CAN we do?"The Long Covid Podcast is currently self-funded. 13 - AJ - "Finding My Sparkle"
Episode 13 of the Long Covid Podcast is a conversation with AJ who has been living with Post Concussion Syndrome for over 3 years, following a brain injury in 2018. Similar to many suffering with Long Covid, AJ lived a very full and active life until her accident when everything changed in a moment. Since then, she has had to adjust her expectations and the way she approaches everything as well as coping with many varying and unpredictable symptoms. In this episode we talk about some of the ways that she has learned to manage her symptoms (some of which are surprisingly similar to Long Covid), strategies she has used to help as well as how she has mentally managed to be so tough and remain positive.
