This podcast teaches a very specific methodology of how to take the expectations of the leader and the goals of the employee and combine them into a cooperative coaching relationship serving both parties interests. Again, things have changed dramatically as we talk about the new normal we also have to remember each and every employee has probably been greatly altered by recent circumstances; therefore, it's incumbent upon us as leaders to revisit each and every employees goals as well as our own expectations of those employees.On July 16 at 11 AM we will be doing a live workshop Coaching to the NEW NORMAL ("The Coaching Starter") teaching the methodology of both of these assessment tools that serve both the leader and the employee in a cooperative manner. Here's a link to register: click hereDuring this workshop we will be teaching the following:SOAR Assessment - this assessment is where the manager lists out using the acronym of SOAR employees strengths, opportunities to improve, actions needed to facilitate improvement, and responsibility they seek from their employee to communicate successes and barriers to progress.GOAL Assessment - the employee completes the goal assessment. GOAL stands for great, opportunity, actions, and love. Here's a simplistic view of those employee types:Dedicated influencers- dedicated influencers find a way and seek ways to help the team and the organization as well as their teammates on a daily basis. They go above and beyond the call of duty seeking ways to push the organization and the team forward.Doers- doers are exactly what they sound like, they do their job and often do it fairly well meeting core requirements. When around detractors they will not join them nor will they find ways to join the dedicated influencers, often succumbing to what is expected nothing more and nothing less.Detractors- detractors are people who simply find ways to pull people back. Send us a textWe have clearly stop listening to one another and I think the major reason is were not talking directly to each other. We tend to talk to other people or through social media outlets. We have to go to the source and to have one major objective at the forefront of all of our minds: to have a thoughtful and considerate conversation. If our objective is emotional with a desire to convince somebody that they are wrong or why you are right this typically ends in an argument.
