PA System: "Attention shoppers. One hundred dogs are running everywhere in the mall! We're very sorry. We're catching them as fast as we can!"
Narrator: Huh? Where did the dogs come from? Well, in this shopping mall in China, there's a pet cafe?. That's where one hundred friendly huskies work. But one day, someone forgot to close the door!
這些狗從哪裡來的呢?這座中國的購物中心有一間寵物咖啡廳,裡面有100隻喜歡跟人親近的哈士奇。但是有一天,咖啡廳的門忘了關。
The dogs left their jobs! They ran out of the pet cafe?!
那些狗狗居然就翹班了,跑出咖啡廳。
The huskies were very happy! They wagged their fluffy tails! They woofed. They jumped! Some of them got snacks… without paying!
哈士奇非常開心,牠們搖著尾巴、跳來跳去,有的還免費拿到零食。
The mall became a doggy playground. The shoppers were surprised! Some shoppers were happy to see the huskies. But other shoppers were scared of them.
購物中心變成狗狗的遊樂場。民眾都嚇了一跳,有一些人很開心看到這些狗狗,但有人會害怕。
The huskies played and played! The pet cafe? workers tried to catch them. Kind shoppers helped too. But the dogs ran here and there. It took one hour to catch them!
咖啡廳的員工試著把牠們抓回去,也有熱心的民眾幫忙,花了一個小時才抓完。
Phew! Good doggie.
PA System: "Good afternoon shoppers, you can enjoy shopping again. The dogs had fun, but now they're all back at work! Hey! Aaaaahhhhh!"

These Astronauts Will Make History
The universe is big. It's very, very big. And every day, every hour, every second, it gets bigger!
宇宙非常大,而且每天、每小時、每秒鐘一直在變大。
There's a lot to learn about the universe. There are millions and billions of places in it! Scientists are learning more about it all the time!
宇宙還有很多我們不知道的事,科學家一直學到新的宇宙知識。
Some scientists explore the universe with telescopes. Others use robots that take photos. And some brave scientists travel to space! These brave scientists are astronauts.
有一些科學家用望遠鏡探索宇宙,也有科學家用機器人拍照,還有勇敢的科學家上太空成為太空人。
Only American astronauts have walked on the moon. But that's going to change! Space travel includes more people now.
目前只有美國太空人在月球漫步,但很快會有越來越多人參與太空飛行。
In a few years, a Japanese astronaut will walk on the moon! This will be an important moment in our history. It will be the first time a non-American astronaut walks on the moon!

Saving Bananas
How many bananas are eaten around the world every year? One billion? No. How about one hundred billion? Yes!
全世界每年會吃多少根香蕉呢?十億?不對喔,是1000億!
Farmers grow many kinds of bananas. But they mostly send one kind to other countries. These bananas look good and taste good when they arrive.
農夫都會種不同品種的香蕉,但通常只出口一種香蕉到別的國家。這些香蕉又好看又好吃。
Banana farmers are worried. A disease can kill these bananas. Farmers work hard to protect their bananas. But if the disease comes, they can't stop it!
有一種疾病會讓香蕉死亡,這讓農夫很擔心,他們努力保護他們的香蕉,但如果香蕉感染疾病,他們也無法阻止。
Scientists are trying different ways to save these bananas. In Australia, scientists looked at the DNA of these bananas. DNA tells plants and animals how to grow. The scientists changed one part of the DNA. This made a new kind of banana. The disease can't kill it!

Ring the Fish Doorbell
Have you seen fish swimming in a river? A city in the Netherlands has a river where fish swim. From May to the end of June, they swim to find places to lay eggs. But there's a gate in the river.
你看過在河裡游泳的魚嗎?荷蘭有一條河從五月到六月底都會有魚通過,準備找地方產卵,但是這條河有個閘門。
The gate opens for boats. Fish can go through at the same time. But when there are no boats,* *they have to wait… and wait… and wait. Sometimes hungry birds find them.
有船要通過的時候,閘門就會打開,魚這時可以跟著通過。但是如果沒有船,牠們就要一直等,中途可能就會被鳥吃掉。
So a scientist made a fish doorbell! But fish don’t ring the doorbell. People do!
於是科學家做了魚群專用的門鈴,魚當然不會按門鈴,人才會!
An underwater camera lets people see the gate. When people see fish there, they ring the doorbell. A worker opens the gate.

In Europe, more and more people are sleeping on trains. It's fun and exciting! And it's good for the Earth.
在歐洲越來越多人睡在火車上,很好玩、很有趣,又很環保。
Sleeping on trains?? Well, this isn’t about falling asleep on an MRT train!
People are sleeping on sleeper trains in Europe. These night trains have small rooms. The rooms have beds. Some have bathrooms! Sleeper trains are hotels on wheels! Some have dining cars too.
歐洲很多人都會睡臥舖列車,這種夜間火車有很多小房間,房間裡有床鋪,有的還有廁所。臥鋪列車就像有輪子的飯店,有的甚至還有餐車。
Sleeper trains in Europe cost more than planes*. *So why do people ride these trains? It's because they don't want to fly. Planes are bad for the environment. They use lots of fossil fuels. This makes the Earth warmer!
在歐洲搭臥鋪列車比搭飛機還貴,那為什麼還是有人要搭呢?因為飛機要用到很多燃油,會讓地球暖化。
Trains are much better for the environment. They're also good for sightseeing. We can see nature. We can see towns and cities too.

Adventures Can Help Us Heal
Do you like doing new things? One man loves this! When he was in the army, he did new things. He went to new places. He loved these adventures!
你喜歡嘗試新的事物嗎? 有一名男子非常喜歡,他以前在當兵的時候,經歷很多新的事情、去了很多地方,他很喜歡這些冒險。
But he lost the use of his legs in the army. He also can't feel them. Now he uses a wheelchair.
但是也在當兵的時候,他的雙腿失去知覺,現在需要坐輪椅。
Leaving the army made him very sad. He wanted to have adventures again! So he tried adventure therapy.
離開軍隊讓他很難過,他想要再次去冒險,所以他嘗試冒險治療。
Bandages help cuts heal. Medicine heals a fever. Therapy helps our minds heal.
繃帶治療傷口,藥物控制發燒,治療可以幫助我們恢復健康。
Thanks to his therapy, the man found a new adventure! Now he gets in a plane. He flies high in the sky. And then he jumps out! He's skydiving!

Keeping a Fox in the City Wild
Foxes are wild animals. They live in forests and grasslands. But sometimes, they live in cities!
狐狸是野生動物,牠們住在森林跟草原。但有時候牠們也住在城市。
In one city in the U.S., someone found a baby fox on a street! A wildlife center is taking care of her now.
美國一個城市,有人在街上找到一隻狐狸寶寶。目前野生動物中心在照顧牠。
The wildlife center's workers don't want the baby fox to get used to people. Foxes that are used to people can't live with wild foxes.
野生動物中心的工作人員不想要狐狸寶寶熟悉人類,這樣牠才能跟其他野生狐狸生活。
But foxes aren't good pets. They need lots of space… and fresh raw meat! It's better for baby foxes to stay wild.
狐狸不適合當寵物,因為牠們需要很多空間跟新鮮的生肉,最好還是讓狐狸寶寶待在野外。
But the workers are around this baby fox all the time. So… they wear fox masks! The workers want her to think they are foxes too!

Many people brought cute cat pictures. But one boy didn't have a cat. So he drew a cat! He got his library card back!

This library is kind. Some people don't have money for lost books. But they want to go to the library. So the cat pictures are making everyone happy!

Helping People Exercise from the Heart
Exercise helps our bodies become stronger and healthier. It’s important to exercise!

One gym owner believes in the power of exercise.* *He loves helping people exercise.
有一位健身房老闆相信運動帶來的力量,他很喜歡鼓勵別人運動。
Every week, this man helps about thirty people exercise at his gym. He helps them for free. They are all older people and people with disabilities. Many have health problems.
他每星期都會讓30多人免費在他的健身房裡運動。這些人都是年長者跟身障者,大部分都有健康問題。
They can't move easily. But they try very hard. And he never gives up on them.

A young woman uses a wheelchair. With the man's help, she started exercising. Now she's stronger. She's happier and more confident too.
