Trump is a Clear and Present Danger to the Public
Today on Justice Matters - Glenn does his weekly legal recap and talks about the art of flipping a defendant. Next, Glenn explains the legal standard for pretrial detention - is the person a danger to the community or a flight risk? Then, he talks about the various ways to flip a witness or defendant. A witness who has committed a crime can be a difficult problem for prosecutors. So how do you get them to flip and give truthful testimony? More Trump Allies Co-operate with Jack Smith's Prosecutors
This time, Glenn discusses the recent controversial and historic rulings of the Supreme Court. Historic not only for the court's sharp right turn, but for the highly-charged opinions that revealed the court's deep divide on the biggest issues of our time: race, education, and gay rights. Were the rulings set up and purchased by billionaires with dark money and lavish gifts? Then, he talks about Special Counsel Jack Smith's election tampering investigation. New details about the fake elector plot are still emerging and many of Trump's closest allies are making proffer deals. Does this mean they are flipping on Trump to avoid being indicted?See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Trump's Worst Enemy: His Own Big Mouth
In today's podcast - Glenn discusses the foot in mouth problems of Donald Trump. First, he talks about Trump's speech at the Road to Majority Conference in Washington where he claimed he has the absolute right to take classified documents because the Presidential Records Act made it legal. On NBC's Meet the Press, Congressman Don Bacon was the only brave voice to claim the emperor has no clothes and said "Sharing classified Iran documents is a crime". Next, Glenn shares Trump's recent social media post where he screams in all caps that Jack Smith is a psycho and deranged and that he should be charging President Biden with some made up crime. Only 6 thousand people reposted it. Is Trump losing his appeal? Then he dissects the audio of the 2021 recording in Bedminster, New Jersey - where Trump talks about his secret documents that were NOT declassified. Trump's violations of our nation's espionage laws were caught on tape in his own voice. Glenn explains how important this is.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Update on Special Counsel Jack Smith's January 6th and Classified Documents Cases
Today - Glenn has an update on Special Counsel Jack Smith's latest activities as he continues to investigate the crimes of Donald Trump. First - prosecutors in Trump's classified documents case are asking U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon to push the trial date back from August 14th to December 11th. Glenn explains this is because the case involves classified documents and Trump’s defense counsel is in the process of getting the necessary security clearances in order to view them. (Though they are dragging their feet!) Then, Jack Smith's 2020 election tampering/ January 6th probe is also blazing ahead. We now know that many witnesses and at least 2 fake electors are testifying before a grand jury in Washington D.C. If the fake electors have been granted limited immunity - does this mean prosecutors are nearing some charging decisions in the case?See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

DOJ Dithered for a Year on Opening the January 6th Probe
Today - Glenn evaluates why the FBI and the DOJ resisted opening an investigation into Donald Trump's role in the January 6th insurrection. A Washington Post report claims the DOJ shut down the requests of career prosecutors who were asking to open a probe into Trump's involvement in the Capitol riots. According to the report, it was due to a lack of evidence but was it more about appearing partisan? Then, when Trump announced he was running for office again, A.G. Merrick Garland appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith and the floodgates finally opened.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Special Counsel Jack Smith's Surprise Letter
In our longform weekend podcast - we again discuss The Trump Trials. First up - Glenn does the weekly legal recap and talks about Judge Aileen Cannon's ability to be impartial. He then discusses a surprising move by Special Counsel Jack Smith who filed a discovery letter that turns over all of the grand jury transcripts. Directly following this letter - Donald Trump posted a message on his social media begging congress to help him. Did Jack Smith spook him with his letter? Then, Glenn says many people are asking him if the court can select a fair and impartial jury in Fort Pierce, Florida which is a deep red county. He says there are tricks the judges and prosecutors will use to make sure this will happen. Finally, Glenn recollects a time in his college days when a computer crashed and ate his homework - giving him a deep resentment of computers to this day.
