During Donald Trump's interview on Meet the Press, he told lie after lie after lie, continuing his attempts to poison all future jury pools. Several media organizations, then attempted to publish articles - fact checking and correcting Trump's stream of lies. On the upside, Trump said things that destroyed his potential "advice of counsel" defense, so some may say, let Trump keep taking as he continues to incriminate himself. But at this point, Trump has incriminated himself so many times, that there's no value in continuing to platform him. However, when he's given airtime, his jury pool poisoning lies continue to imperil the people's right to a fair trial. Glenn says it's time for Judge Chutkan to issue a gag order and it's also time for all responsible news organizations to stop platforming Trump's lies. Then, new reporting has revealed that Trump's long-time executive assistant, Molly Michael, provided the FBI and federal prosecutors sharply incriminating evidence against him. She said Trump often wrote "to-do" lists on classified documents and gave them to her. Perhaps even worse, when the federal government was attempting to retrieve the boxes of documents at Mar-a-Lago, Trump told Ms. Michael, "You don't know anything about the boxes." He then asked Ms. Michael to falsely "Spread the word that there are no more boxes," even though she knew Trump was retaining dozens and dozens of boxes. Indeed, she even took pictures of the boxes at Mar-a-Lago and those photos ended up as exhibits in the federal indictment of Trump. In a new court filing, Special Counsel Jack Smith absolutely destroys the efforts by Donald Trump's attorneys to try to remove Judge Tanya Chutkan from presiding over Trump's federal trial in DC for attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Glenn says Trump's filing has no merit. Then, Jack Smith has, at long last, filed another motion asking Judge Chutkan to issue an order restricting Donald Trump's speech and posts. Specifically, the proposed gag order requests the following:"The Government seeks a narrow, well-defined restriction that is targeted at extrajudicial statements that present a serious and substantial danger of materially prejudicing this case. The Government's proposed order specifies that such statements would include (a) statements regarding the identity, testimony, or credibility of prospective witnesses; and (b) statements about any party, witness, attorney, court personnel, or potential jurors that are disparaging and inflammatory, or intimidating."The only remaining questions are:1. Judge Scott McAfee, the judge presiding over Donald Trump's Georgia state RICO trial, rejected the attempts of defendants Keneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell to sever or separate their cases from one another and go to trial alone. The desperation of Donald Trump and many of his co-conspirators is showing. After hearing extensive evidence of election crimes from Donald Trump and his many criminal associates, the Georgia state special grand jury recommended indicting 40 individuals. However, the RICO indictment that was issued in Georgia charges only 19 of them with crimes. Glenn says there are many different ways this could play out in court. A federal judge just ruled that Mark Meadows failed to even make the minimal showing that his Georgia RICO prosecution should be transferred from state court to federal court. This finding is likely to be fatal to any effort Trump may have mounted to try to move HIS case to federal court. Glenn says this ruling means Meadows, Trump and their other criminal associates and co-conspirators will be tried in Georgia state court, and the trial will be televised and live-streamed for all to see. Constitutional scholars, both Republican and Democrat, are unifying behind one position: section 3 of the 14 Amendment disqualifies Donald Trump from holding any federal office in the future, including the presidency, because he engaged in an insurrection against the United States, after taking an oath to support the Constitution. Donald Trump has four serious felony prosecutions pending against him. Yet, he continues to say and post things that put prosecutors, judges, witnesses and jurors in harm's way. The legal test for whether someone should be detained pending trial is as follows: is there clear and convincing evidence that the defendant is either a flight risk or is a danger to the community?
