People with ADHD have a less than stellar working memory.  We are currently working through a workbook by Dr. Ari Tuckman called Understand Your Brain, Get More Done, and the working memory portion has given us a lot of helpful tips and strategies. His 3 main principles to strategize working memory are (I'm paraphrasing):Make important tasks and items stand out so you see them and can focus on them.eliminate distractions to help maintain focuswrite things down rather than try to keep them in your headThese are great strategies. 113 - More ADHD, More Depression, Less Consistency

Here is an update on what depression feels like inside my skull spaghetti. ADHD and Depression are not easy mental roomates, but we are all doing the best we can! I mention again the power of community. The challenge for you this week is to reach out via email or the contact form on the website with your declaration of "the thing you are going to get done tomorrow." Make sure to be specific and include:The specific thing you will be working onThe specific time you will start on it (make it an appointment in your calendar to remind yourself tomorrow)The amount of time you will be working on it. (do NOT work on it until it's done. If the timer goes off and you aren't done...make sure you celebrate that you did what you said you were going to do. 110 - A Prescription For Depression

What do we do when pills aren't on the menu? Does that mean we don't have any ability to treat our depression? Well that doesn't work for me so I'm working on a 30 day prescription for my own depression. I've been living inside a depressive episode for a few weeks now and I'm turning up my efforts at treating it. I'm doing this without medication and I'm very curious if it's going to make any positive change.
