In a world of AI, what does the future of work look like? Will certain jobs and industries become obsolete? What skills will become elevated in this new world and how should schools revamp their operations to develop these skills in students? Today's conversation with Corinne Hoisington, professor of information systems technology at Central Virginia Community Colleges, begins to tackle these questions. Corinne also travels 200,000 miles a year providing keynotes on topics in technology and has authored over 30 books with Cengage learning on outlook, office, windows 10, and many others. How should school districts be thinking about AI? The clock has started...3 months until the next school year and AI may be on the shortlist of planning priorities for many districts. What steps can districts take to better receive AI next school year? Dr. Nneka McGee has quite a few thoughts here - as a Chief Academic Officer for a 9000+ student school district and as a researcher of AI over the last 4.5 years, Nneka is well positioned to transition her school district into a world of AI and share insights for others looking to do the same. One of the biggest challenges impacting schools today is the mental health of students in a post pandemic world. Can AI support the mental health of our students? To what extent would we trust AI to support in high stakes conversations with students surrounding their mental health? My conversation today with Scott Freschet and Dr. Elsa Friss of Alongside digs into these questions.
