Brody Sanderson Interview #2. Racing Multiple Disciplines. CX World Champs. Bikepacking. Fat Bikes.
Brody and Josh chat a little bit about everything. Brody raced for Canada in the CX World Championships yesterday, 1/30/22! This chat was before that race and they break down Brody's approach to World Champs, the training buildup and his planned rest period before gearing up for cx in 2022.
Big thanks to Brody for taking the time to chat and drop some knowledge!
Be sure to give him a follow for MTB videos and CX course preview rides! @brody_sanderson

Skipping The Warm Up
I don't want my heart rate elevated initially by the FIRST hard race efforts; I want to feel that "heart jumping out of the chest feeling" well before the gun goes off. And in order to do that, without shocking the muscles, a proper warm up is a huge advantage!
we warm up for intervals, but then let pre-race jitters throw our warm up off, and still try to GAS it from the gun. Ouch!

Fixed Gears for Base Miles and Ramp Tests, #426
mid-podcast discovery on not-base-miles-fixie-rides had me on a slight tangent and worm hole, thanks for bearing with.
ramp tests: I think you can gain a lot more from other tests when looking for that FTP number.
