Before we get into the really high intensity ANAEROBIC work that we often hear is the "tune up" before crit season, let's ensure we have the right AEROBIC training set. Even for a short criterium, a strong aerobic system will allow you to smash the BIGGEST WATTS, since the glycolytic metabolism produces lactate, and the aerobic metabolism consumes lactate. Simple as that!
