16. Mike Burgener | Sh*t coach, just tell me to jump

Mike Burgener is one of the most well loved and respected Coaches in all of CrossFit and he has quite the resume.  In addition to being a Level 5 Senior International Weightlifting coach, a graduate of Notre Dame with an MS degree from the University of Kentucky, he is also a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps and spent 32 years teaching Physical Education.   Despite all of his credentials, most know Coach B. as the leader of CrossFit weightlifting and the crazy geezer known for yelling, "yay burpees!" In his 70s, he continues to train and coach and in this interview, he discusses some best practices for improving your Olympic lifts as both a coach and athlete.

12. EC Synkowski | Coach like you are teaching a five year old

EC Synkowski started CrossFit in 2006 and shortly thereafter she completed her CrossFit Level 1.  Her enthusiasm, expertise and hard work eventually led to seminar staff and flowmaster position, as well as her CF-L4 certification. 8. Chris Cooper | How to move from Janitor to CEO

Chris is the owner of CrossFit Catalyst and Founder of Two Brain Business.  Chris began mentoring gyms in early 2012. Soon after, he was invited to work as a journalist for CrossFit, Inc. for a year, and he began traveling around the world on the CrossFit for Hope and other projects. In 2015, he published two books, "Two-Brain Business 2.0 and “Help First.” His newest book, "Founder, Farmer, Tinker, Thief" is available for pre-order on Amazon and will be released May 7th. Chris helped Jason grow his three CrossFit affiliates to well over 500 members and is a big reason why Albany CrossFit was the most successful sale in CrossFit history.
