This Sunday, we will be continuing in our "I AM" sermon series. This week, Scott Marques will be preaching on the topic of "I Am Jesus of Nazareth," based on John 18:1-11.

How do we thrive as Christians and live fruitful lives? In some of the final moments of his earthly life, Jesus takes time to talk with his disciples and teach them (and us) how to thrive and flourish as followers of Jesus.

Jesus spends his last few hours before being arrested and going to the cross reassuring his disciples as they are filled with confusion, doubt and fear. He declares he is the way, the truth, the life summing up the heart of the gospel in one phrase. We will look at three aspects of Jesus as the way: Jesus the way to the father, Jesus the way to the holy of holies and Jesus the way to peace. He alone brings us peace in our anxiety.

In John 11, Jesus says he is the Resurrection and the Life. In light of that, and in response to the reality of death, we need faith (like Martha), grief (like Mary), and grace (like Lazarus).

When Jesus claims ‘I am the good shepherd’ he completely divides the crowd, some realise he’s God others say he’s mad. Joshua explores why the crowd respond this way and how we should respond to Jesus’ claim to be the good shepherd.
