And you absolutely must learn the skills to tame that beast if you want to be farming long-term (and if you want to be happily married long-term!) If you don't learn the skills, the price you pay personally, emotionally, and financially is just too high. My client, Kathleen, is on the podcast today sharing how she struggled so much her first year of farming. She'd be taken over by fear of failure, guilt of spending so much money to get started. Shame and overwhelm were regular visitors. And her biggest 'target' when she struggled was her husband - she blamed him for everything that was going wrong in her world. She thought he didn't support her, didn't want to invest in her. You can imagine how that went over in her marriage. But then she met me at the lavender conference where I was the keynote speaker and she knew coaching would help her. Her confidence grew when she dove into the confidence-building exercises. This confidence shows up in her marketing, and her sales are growing steadily. Most farmers give up because it just becomes "too hard" - meaning, the emotional toll is too great on themselves & their families. Click HERE to Be Notified When 5X Your Farm Sales Opens in February Many farmers feel like their prices are already higher than the grocery store, or the highest in the area, so they think they can't possibly raise them any higher. But they're still not making a sustainable profit. They (you?) often feel guilty even thinking about increasing them to be able to afford to hire help or lift some of the financial burden you feel. Now you're not making enough money to hire enough help, so you're overworking, often exhausted, and feeling overwhelmed. Next, you often start adding other products, services or sales outlets which means even MORE overwhelm and overworking, but even LESS money. This is the hamster wheel farmers often find themselves trying to get off of. So what do you do when your prices aren't working for you but you think you can't raise them? You've got to go to the root of the problem - that's what I outline in today's episode of the Profitable Mindset Podcast. I promise you, it's not that you're already the highest price in the area. It's not that you feel guilty charging more. It's not that you just haven't found the right combo of products/bundles/customers.  The solution is inside Episode 143.
