Kristen and Austin started exploring swinging early on in their relationship after they got pregnant and she lost interest in sex. Her solution was to outsource the task. Since then, they have leaned on non-monogamy to help them navigate their mismatched libidos, which have persisted even after the pregnancy. Over the years their dynamic has moved fluidly across the spectrum of non-monogamy and at times completely back to monogamy. They are currently in a triad with a woman named Lindsey in which all three of them have independent relationships with one another.
