Do the Thing

I know I am not the only one who procrastinates on doing the thing, the really important thing that we just can’t seem to get around to.  It’s usually the very same thing that we have been circling around for weeks, months, years, even longer. It’s the thing that will make us ever so proud to have done it, and also the thing that will be our biggest regret if we don’t.  Oh, yeah.  That thing.  Everybody has one.  At least one.In this week’s solo episode, I share about my relationship with writing and all the deceptively clever ways I avoided it until I finally realized what the real problem was and how that changed everything. Resources mentioned in this episode:App for creating a daily writing habit: https://750words.com/My favorite copywriter, Laura Belgray: https://talkingshrimp.com/Morning Pages, The Artist Way: http://bit.ly/3buPUTXOur Pod Praise (podcast review) this week comes from LostZelda, a creative artist and fan of the show who writes: “I love Diann’s straightforward approach! She is uplifting and gives practical advice that is easy to digest. I also love that the solo episodes are short so you can listen to them even on a tight schedule. I recently took a closer look at my business because of the “Unstuck” episode. I realized I was doing something other successful people were doing, but it just wasn’t working for me. I totally decided to PIVOT! And I feel less stressed out and excited to be going in a different direction. Thanks, Diann.”Here is a link to LostZelda’s IG page: https://www.instagram.com/lostzelda/And, her Etsy shop: http://etsy.me/3t15InkRemember,  if you leave a review for The Driven Woman Podcast, Diann will read it on a future episode.   For Apple Podcasts,  click here: https://apple.co/2BZDFzcIf you are an Android user,  please leave your review on Podchaser: https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/the-driven-woman-1194485Want to help me know exactly what content to feature?Click here to take this poll  “What’s Holding You Back?”  I’m working on a brand new series on mindset blocks.  Tell me yours so I can create the perfect episodes for you! https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/5e86e90dce39a3001432b6dbWork With MeClick here to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with Diann to see if her signature 12-week private coaching program is right for you.  Create an ADHD-friendly business and life! This episode is brought to you by:The Driven Woman Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/thedrivenwomanConnect with Diann on social media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coachdiannwingert/ LinkedIn:   https://www.linkedin.com/in/diannwingertcoaching/ Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/diannwingertcoaching/

Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos with Sarah Mikutel

Today I am joined by Sarah Mikutel, an American expat who has been living permanently in Europe for over a decade. Sarah is an inspiration to me, not only because she had the drive and the courage to choose a life of freedom, something many driven women dream about, but because she is also on the path of continuous personal evolution.  This conversation is about how to use the ancient wisdom of Stoicism to create calm when life feels out of control.  But, before we dig into this very timely topic,  I’d like to share one of my recent podcast reviews, this one, from mscrobo who says” Inspiring Content! Diann, you are amazing! I love all the helpful information you provide and how you make the show worth listening to again and again. You are making the world a better place. Keep it up!”   Thanks so much for this podcast praise, mscrobo!  Reviews like this kick my drive into high gear and keep me going! Want to help me know exactly what content to feature?Click here to take this poll.  I’m working on a brand new series on mindset blocks.  Tell me yours so I can create the perfect episodes for you! https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/5e86e90dce39a3001432b6dbAre you ready to take things to the next level and work With Diann? Click here to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with Diann to see if her signature 12-week private coaching program is right for you.  Create an ADHD-friendly business and life!https://calendly.com/diannwingert/free-consultationDon’t forget to leave your own review of The Driven Woman Podcast, so I can read it on a future episode!    Apple: https://apple.co/2BZDFzcAndroid: https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/the-driven-woman-1194485Connect with Diann Online: The Driven Woman Facebook Group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/thedrivenwoman/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coachdiannwingert/ LinkedIn:   https://www.linkedin.com/in/diannwingertcoaching/ Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/diannwingertcoaching/ Connect with Sarah:Websitehttps://sarahmikutel.com/Live Without Borders podcast (I’m re-branding!)https://sarahmikutel.com/live-without-bordersPodcasting Step by Stephttps://sarahmikutel.com/podcasting-step-by-stepQuiz — What kind of podcast should you create?https://sarahmikutel.com/quiz

Don't be an Advice ATM

Are you someone who has always been asked for advice? In this week’s solo episode, I tackled the issue of setting boundaries around when to actually give it. Many people will ask for your advice but they do not really need it, they just need someone to listen to them, so you can be empathic and let them know you want to support them, and that’s it.  No need to give advice that you know they will never follow anyway.  I used to dispense advice like an ATM, but I no longer believe I'm helping anyone by telling them what to do. Instead, I point out their strengths. I encourage them to think for themselves. I reflect evidence back to them that they are far more capable than they are giving themselves credit for at the moment. At the end of the day, we need to accept the fact that we cannot help anybody by solving their problems.  Our Pod Praise (podcast review) this week comes from Christian R. Ward, a fellow podcaster, host of The Interesting Humans podcast:Not just for women;I know I am among a minority of men who regularly listen to Diann. But as a curious man, I have to know what the other side thinks, LOL. Diann’s command of and ability to zero in on important personal challenges makes her podcast worthwhile. I’ve interviewed Diann and knowing even more of her story makes her podcast even more valuable to me. Erudite and to the point, I enjoy Diann’s dissection of problems and diagnosis make The Driven Woman a great place to listen, girl or guy.Remember,  if you leave a review for The Driven Woman Podcast, Diann will read it on a future episode. Tell me yours so I can create the perfect episodes for you! https://www.tryinteract.com/share/quiz/5e86e90dce39a3001432b6dbWork With MeAre you ready to invest in making 2021 the year you get back into momentum & move the needle?  Click here to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with Diann to see if her signature 12-week private coaching program is right for you.  Create an ADHD-friendly business and life! https://calendly.com/diannwingert/free-consultation/This episode is brought to you by:The Driven Woman Facebook GroupThe place to be for like-minded and like-brained women who want an ADHD friendly business and life  (https://www.facebook.com/groups/thedrivenwoman) Connect with Diann on social media: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coachdiannwingert/ LinkedIn:   https://www.linkedin.com/in/diannwingertcoaching/ Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/diannwingertcoaching/

Today I am joined by Jen Liddy, who is in Syracuse, NY, and is the owner of Jen Liddy Business Coaching & Development. Jen helps coaches, consultants, service providers, small business owners, and online entrepreneurs get off of what she calls the content creation “dreadmill.” The pressure to come up with something interesting, entertaining, or informative every single week for your blog, podcast, YouTube, FB Lives, can become overwhelming, but Jen Liddy is a former school teacher so she knows how to break things down for even the most overwhelmed and confused among us.  I am personally following Jen’s Crack the Content Code program and wanted to make sure you got the chance to meet her too. Want to help me know exactly what content to feature?Click here to take this poll  “What’s Holding You Back?”  I’m working on a brand new series on mindset blocks.  Tell me yours so I can create the perfect episodes for you! https://bit.ly/whyb-quizAre you ready to take things to the next level and work With Diann? Are you ready to invest in making 2021 the year you get back into momentum & move the needle?  Click here to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with Diann to see if her signature 12-week private coaching program is right for you.  Create an ADHD-friendly business and life! https://bit.ly/calendly-free-consultation Don’t forget to leave your own review of The Driven Woman Podcast, so I can read it on a future episode!    Apple: https://apple.co/2BZDFzcAndroid: https://bit.ly/TDWE-podchaserConnect with Diann Online: Instagram: https://bit.ly/DWC-InstagramLinkedIn:   https://bit.ly/DWC-LinkedInFacebook: https://bit.ly/DWC-FacebookWant to know more about Jen Liddy and her business Jen Liddy Business Development?Website: https://www.jenliddy.comPodcast: https://www.jenliddy.com/podcast  (The Idea Space)Blog: https://www.jenliddy.com/blogSpecial offer: Customized Content Planner - learn how to squash the overwhelm of weekly content creation with a realistic system to save you time, energy, and frustration!  https://www.jenliddy.com/planner Social media handles:IG:  @jenliddycoachPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/jenliddy

Getting Unstuck

Have you ever gotten yourself into such a tangled mess that you have no idea how you got there or how to get out? Of course, you have!  Feeling stuck is a common problem, especially for creatives and those of us who have trouble asking for help.  Sound like anyone you know?   In this solo episode, I break down the various reasons we get ourselves stuck and reveal that they are almost always a mindset issue, instead of a real problem.  This is really good news, because mindset habits are learned, and what is learned can be unlearned. Our Pod Praise (podcast review) this week comes from Michelle Johnson: “The Driven Woman Podcast is for those of us who seek to align ourselves with our truest goals and aspirations. Diann's transformative approach to dealing with our pressing careers will convince you that you CAN work at a more focused pace and get BIG things done.  I've learned that talent and potential don't mean a thing if we let fear (perfectionism) take us hostage.  Diann's podcast is both fun and sassy with a dose of go get 'em, girl...you got this!”Remember,  if you leave a review for The Driven Woman Podcast, Diann will read it on a future episode.   For Apple Podcasts,  click here: https://apple.co/2BZDFzcIf you are an Android user,  please leave your review on Podchaser: https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/the-driven-woman-1194485And don’t forget to click on the link in the show notes and participate in our mindset poll, so our upcoming series on mindset blocks will sound like we made it just for you.  https://poll.tryinteract.com/#/preview/5f9d78cb138d6c0014b069a1Work With MeAre you ready to invest in making 2021 the year you get back into momentum & move the needle?

Today, my very special guest is Consultant & Business Strategist,  Rhonda Glynn who joins me from the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. Rhonda is the owner of Zoma Business Solutions. I Like Change

This episode is a solo show, in which Diann talks about how she loves change and shaking things up. She tells the stories of experiences with others who will do anything to avoid changes and being questioned for loving to change up things and as being unnatural or weird, and how being unsatisfied and having the fear of stagnation made her uproot her life from L.A. to Portland.Whether you love change or resist it, this is the perfect podcast for you as Diann tackles a controversial subject about embracing changes and evolving from them. She likes being an example of how change is part of human nature, and fear is learned.  Our podcast review this week comes from Postnotworking who says:“So many gems and inspiration, Diann I totally listen to your podcast and I love it! You are such a pleasure to listen to and have such an amazing message so relatable and practical. I’m so glad you started this podcast, many women will benefit, I’m sure. So keep it coming, and P.S. ADHD, Disclosure & Gender Bias with Nicole Grey

Today I am joined by Nicole Grey, a 27-year-old single mother of two who lives in New Zealand.  I saw Nicole’s story online and reached out to see if she’d be willing to share it with the Driven Woman Podcast audience.  Like most of us, Nicole had no idea that she had ADHD until well into adult life.  Nicole was homeschooled and raised in a very supportive, religious community so she never received negative feedback about her behavior  She always wanted to be a police officer since she was a teenager because she was attracted to the excitement and adrenaline rush. Her life literally changed overnight and she found herself separating from her kid’s father, her parents had moved and she had no job, no place to live, and no plan. Even though she crushed all the prerequisites and preliminary exams, Nicole’s acceptance to the police academy disappeared after she disclosed her ADHD diagnosis and medication Nicole’s story is one of gender bias, delayed diagnosis, the risks related to disclosure, and ultimately resiliency.   I can’t wait to share my conversation with this delightfully driven woman, but first,  I want to share one of our latest 5-star podcast reviews: Today’s Podcast Praise is from listener Lislewin who writes:“Diann’s podcast is spectacular. I only discovered Diann last night and I have “binge-listened” to so many episodes as I embrace my self-diagnosis of ADHD (after the recent diagnosis of my son). Diann’s delivery is witty, grounded, and engaging as well as considered, intelligent and generous. I have loved and learned from so many of the podcasts. The episode called “ADHD Confidently” almost made me cry and inspired me to write a review of gratitude. It is currently my favorite. Thank you and please Diann keep your podcasts coming!Thank you Lislewin for your generous podpraise, and keep on listening! Remember,  if you leave a review for The Driven Woman Podcast, Diann will read it on a future episode.   For Apple Podcasts,  click here: https://apple.co/2BZDFzcIf you are an Android user,  please leave your review on Podchaser: https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/the-driven-woman-1194485Are you ready to take things to the next level and work With Diann? Are you ready to invest in making 2021 the year you get back into momentum & move the needle?  Click here to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with Diann to see if her signature 12-week private coaching program is right for you.  Create an ADHD-friendly business and life!https://calendly.com/diannwingert/free-consultationThis episode is brought to you by:The Driven Woman Facebook GroupThe place to be for like-minded and like-brained women who want an ADHD friendly business and life:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/thedrivenwoman/Connect with Diann Online: on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coachdiannwingert/ Visit my website for Inks to the research Nicole mentioned during this interview!
