Dr. Hanlie Smuts is an associate professor in the Department of Informatics at the University of Pretoria since 2017. During her tenure in industry, she delivered consistent customer relevance across all digital touch points by empowering customers through convenient and effective self-service, and by driving growth through personalized digital offerings and adjacent ecosystems. Her lecturing and research role focuses on IT and the organization, with particular emphasis on Society 5.0, digital transformation, big data management, artificial intelligence and knowledge management. Dr Smuts is the deputy chair of the Knowledge Management South Africa (KMSA) board and has published several papers and book chapters in her field of study.

Maria-Rosa (Mia) Moroso is the Head of Information and Knowledge Management at the NATO Communications and Information Agency, and leads this effort since 2014. She is passionate about exploring ways for people to share their knowledge and expertise to become the best versions of themselves while growing their business or organization. Mia has a MSc in International Marketing Management with a major in new media marketing, yet her foundation lies in a MA in Linguistics which allowed her to transition from an Italian Foreign Affairs career to NATO in 1998 where her previous roles have spanned from Executive Support and Officer roles to Communications, Protocol, and Information Assurance and in various NATO Bodies. I came to work at Chautauqua in 2004 as the chief executive officer of the Chautauqua Foundation and as the vice president of development for Chautauqua Institution. Sixteen years later, I gave up my role at the Foundation and currently focus on leading the advancement program of the Institution as senior vice president and chief advancement officer. In the latter role, I am responsible for the talented team that works with our philanthropic donor community to support the mission of the Institution. We build relationships with members of the community to assist them in fulfilling their ambitions for Chautauqua. It is incredibly rewarding to see how the community has responded to revitalize facilities, provide scholarships to young artists for study here, and bring the best thought leaders to our platform. Gift by gift, our donors ensure Chautauqua flourishes.Before coming to the Institution, I practiced law for nine years. For two years, I served as the assistant dean of development at William & Mary Law School. I served ten years as director of development, and then as assistant head for development at the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, Massachusetts. I came to the Institution after serving three years as the assistant dean for development at the University of Michigan Law School.

Ved Prakash is a well-recognized senior industry professional with a global experience of 29 years in a variety of leadership roles with strategic, business and operational responsibilities, including large transformation programs. He is considered a thought leader in Knowledge Management with core expertise in enterprise KM strategy, governance, knowledge and social architecture, process, technology enablement, focus on content/collaboration, culture building and change management. He is currently Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) at Trianz, a silicon valley based management and technology consulting firm helping Fortune 1000 organizations transition to a digital enterprise. He is also an independent Digital and Knowledge Transformation Consultant to other organizations, and mentors startups on various aspects right from strategy to operations. Prior to this, he spearheaded Knowledge Management at Montreal-headquartered CGI Inc. He led a large transformation program at CGI across Asia Pacific covering Sales & Marketing, Operations, HR, Finance and Delivery. In addition, he served as a member of the Global Application Services Council at CGI.

Sara Feldman is the Director of Member Engagement for the Consortium for Service Innovation, where she connects Members with resources to support their success and enhance their customer experience. She is a KCS v6 Certified Trainer and experienced with customer-centric functions in the software industry. With a foundation in Technical Writing and Knowledge Management, her previous roles have focused on professional development programs, customer self-service, Customer Success Enablement, and cross-functional Technical Content Strategy. #KCS #IntelligentSwarming

Kristan McMahon has served as President of the Robert H. Jackson Center since April 2019. McMahon is a former principal with Vetted Solutions, an executive search firm specializing in association and nonprofit recruiting and consulting in Washington, D.C. where she helped guide a transformational process for the company’s executive searches. Previously, McMahon was corporate counsel for Verizon in Arlington, VA where she advised all business entities on a variety of antitrust issues, including deal analysis and compliance with antitrust/competition laws. Before joining Verizon, McMahon served as a Staff Attorney for Howrey LLP, where she was part of the antitrust team leading government investigations and litigations for numerous global Fortune 500 companies. McMahon received a B.A. in Journalism/Mass Communication and Political Science from St. Bonaventure University, a J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, as well as a Certificate from its Communications Law Institute. She serves as a Trustee and Chair of the Student Affairs Committee for St. Bonaventure University. She also serves on the boards of Youth For Understanding, an international student exchange organization, and Sitar Arts Center, a youth arts education center in Washington, D.C.
