3135 Are Your Emotions the Enemy?
Have you completely lost your cool? In the midst of challenging circumstances, it's common for emotions to run high. But it becomes even more challenging in marriage. Are your emotions the enemy? It's important to acknowledge that our emotions are not necessarily the enemy but rather valuable indicators of what we are experiencing internally. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co By gaining insight into our emotions and learning how to respond to them, we can promote healthier relationships and create a more peaceful atmosphere within our marriages. If you want to cool down quicker than you heat up, learn what makes you tick. The K.I.S.S. ~ Learn what makes you tick! 1. Analyze Your Emotions: Take time to reflect on your emotions and identify the underlying reasons for them. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 4:23 (NIV), "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." By honestly assessing your emotions, you can better understand the root causes, such as unmet needs, unrealistic expectations, or unresolved conflicts. Consider journaling or discussing your emotions with a trusted friend to gain deeper insights into them. 2. Change How You Respond: Once you have gained awareness of your emotions, the next step is to change your response to them. This requires intentional effort and a willingness to seek guidance from God and His Word. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) encourages us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Seek God's wisdom and rely on His strength to respond with love, grace, and self-control, rather than allowing anger or frustration to dictate your actions. 3. Deal with Your Emotions: Lastly, it's crucial to address your emotions in a healthy manner. This may involve open communication with your spouse, seeking professional counseling, or participating in marriage enrichment programs. Remember, Ephesians 4:26-27 (NIV) reminds us, "In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold." Engaging in constructive dialogue and seeking resolution can prevent resentment from building up and causing further damage. Embrace forgiveness, strive for understanding, and make the necessary changes to restore harmony within your marriage. BONUS James 1:19-20 (NIV) states, "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." This verse emphasizes the significance of listening attentively before responding and highlights the negative consequences of allowing anger to control your speech. And that means listening to how you sound, and what you can do to change how you are received. By practicing patience, humility, and self-control, we can avoid the destructive effects of anger and promote righteousness in our interactions with others. Remember, emotions do not have to be the enemy; they can serve as valuable indicators of our internal experiences. Use your emotions as the barometer of where you are within a situation. How much is something really bothering you? By analyzing them, recognizing your triggers and what is happening inside you that exposes how it shows up on the outside, changing how you respond, and actively dealing with your emotions, you can cultivate healthier emotional dynamics within your marriages. Trust in God's guidance, seek support when needed, and allow His love to shape your emotional journey as a married couple. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3134 If You Wait Too Long
In this back-to-school season, as our children embark on a new academic year filled with growth and change, we must stay grounded and not let precious moments pass us by. William Arther Ward once said, "Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you miss them." It's a new chapter for parents and even grandparents. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co To be completely present and fully engaged with the children we love. Here are three things we can do to navigate the season ahead and cherish the moments that are right in front of us. The K.I.S.S. ~ Cherish the moments! 1. Embrace Mindfulness With the hustle and bustle of back-to-school preparations, it's easy to get caught up in the chaos. However, taking just a few moments each day to practice mindfulness can make a world of difference. Whether it's through meditation, deep breathing exercises, or simply grounding yourself in the present moment, mindfulness helps us to slow down, appreciate the present, and create deeper connections with our children. By being fully present and engaged, we can savor each precious moment and forge stronger bonds. EXAMPLES of MINDFULNESS PRACTICES - Practice meditation: Set aside a few minutes each day to sit in a quiet space, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing. Allow yourself to let go of any distracting thoughts and be fully present in the current moment. - Engage in sensory experiences: Take a mindful walk in nature, paying attention to the sights, sounds, and smells around you. Feel the sensation of each step as it connects with the ground. Engaging your senses helps anchor you in the present moment. - Implement digital detox: Allocate dedicated periods of time each day to disconnect from technology. Put your phone on silent, turn off notifications, and create tech-free zones in your home where you can engage with your family without distractions. 2. Prioritize Communication As the new school year brings forth a multitude of changes, effective communication becomes paramount. Take the time to establish open lines of communication with your children, their teachers, and other parents. By staying informed about their schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and social interactions, you can actively participate in your children's lives. Regularly engaging in meaningful conversations with your children not only shows your support but also provides opportunities for growth, learning, and valuable bonding experiences. EXAMPLES of COMMUNICATION - Schedule regular family meetings: Set aside a specific time each week to gather as a family and discuss any pertinent matters. Encourage everyone to share their thoughts, concerns, and updates. This fosters open communication and keeps everyone involved and informed. - Create a parent-teacher communication system: Establish a reliable method of communication with your children's teachers, such as email or a class app. Regularly check in to inquire about their progress, any upcoming events or projects, and any concerns or questions you may have. This ensures a strong partnership between parents and educators. - Organize playdates or parent meetups: Arrange opportunities for your children to interact with their peers outside of school. This allows for socialization, fosters friendships, and opens channels for parents to connect, exchange experiences, and support one another. 3. Create Rituals and Traditions Amidst the hustle and bustle, it's essential to create rituals and traditions that foster a sense of togetherness within your family. Whether it's a weekly game night, a special Sunday brunch, or even taking part in volunteering activities as a family, these rituals provide stability, promote family bonding, and can be cherished for years to come. By creating intentional moments filled with love and connection, you ensure that you don't miss out on what's truly important – quality time with the ones you love the most. EXAMPLES of RITUALS & TRADITIONS - Family movie or game nights: Designate a specific day or evening each week for a cozy movie or game night at home. Gather snacks, choose a movie or play a favorite board game together, and enjoy quality time as a family. - Sunday brunch or breakfast traditions: Establish a special routine for weekend mornings, such as preparing a delicious brunch or breakfast together. Encourage everyone to participate in the cooking or meal preparation process, and use this time to talk, laugh, and bond. - Take part in volunteer activities as a family: Find local volunteer opportunities that align with your family's values and interests. Dedicate a day or a few hours each month to engage in these activities together. This not only gives back to the community but also teaches important values of empathy, kindness, and social responsibility to your children. By incorporating these examples into your life, you can fully embrace mindfulness, prioritize communication, and create meaningful rituals and traditions, ensuring that you stay grounded and cherish the moments that are right in front of you during the back-to-school season. As the back-to-school season unfolds, let's not allow the busyness and changes to distract us from what truly matters – being fully present and engaged with our children. By embracing mindfulness, prioritizing communication, and creating rituals and traditions, we can navigate the season with grace and fully immerse ourselves in the joy and growth that it brings. Remember, the moments we treasure are the ones we can never get back, so let's be all in and make the most of this beautiful journey of parenthood. "Be present. Be incredible. 3133 Live Boldly and Fearlessly!
If you find yourself weary and disheartened by the pursuit of perfection, have no fear; hope is near. But it comes with the price: One step at a time leads to miles of greatness. Live boldly and fearlessly! In a world often characterized by the relentless pursuit of perfection and flawless execution, it's easy to become disheartened by our own perceived shortcomings and failures. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co We look around and see others seemingly excelling in every aspect of their lives, while we struggle to find our footing. This can lead us to question our own worth and potential, leaving us feeling stuck and hesitant to embrace our own greatness. But amidst this struggle, there is a beacon of hope. It lies in the realization that true strength and impact do not come from conforming to a rigid mold of perfection, but from embracing your unique flaws and harnessing them as sources of power. In accepting your imperfections, you can unleash your true potential and live in your greatness. The K.I.S.S. ~ Live boldly and fearlessly! The Magnificent Tree by Kristianne Wargo "In the depths of a serene forest, there stood a magnificent tree. Its bark weathered and rough, branches reaching towards the heavens in an almost haphazard pattern. To the casual observer, it may have seemed imperfect, with its missing limbs and a gentle lean in the trunk. Yet, this tree was a symbol of strength and resilience. It stood tall, unwavering, providing shade to weary travelers, shelter to woodland creatures, and releasing the purest oxygen into the air. Its presence brought forth a sense of tranquility and beauty that could not be denied. In stark contrast, a symmetrical and flawlessly balanced tree stood nearby. Every branch was positioned with meticulous precision, displaying its finest attributes for all to see. But as the sun's rays beamed through its perfectly aligned canopy, it cast a cold and calculated shadow. The imperfect tree, however, embraced its flaws. It recognized that the essence of its greatness lay not in its straight trunk or flawless branches, but in its ability to adapt and overcome any obstacle. It knew that true strength comes from acknowledging and embracing one's imperfections." Just like the imperfect tree, we all possess unique flaws. But it is these imperfections that make us truly remarkable. Our greatness exists in spite of our shortcomings, in the spaces where we stumble, and in the cracks where the light shines through. In a world that often emphasizes perfection and conformity, it is vital to remember that nothing in nature is flawless. The flowers that bloom, each with their own unique shape and color, do not strive for uniformity. The rivers that carve their way through mountains do not follow a predetermined path. And the mighty oak tree, with its majestic presence, thrives with missing branches and a gentle lean. So, if you find yourself weary and disheartened by the pursuit of perfection, remember the trees. Remember that your worth and greatness are not defined by how well you conform to society's standards, but by how authentically you embrace your unique self. Embrace your quirks and idiosyncrasies. Embrace the scars and the lessons they represent. Embrace your flaws, for they are the very essence of your greatness. They are not signs of weakness but the very markers of your strength. Live boldly and fearlessly, knowing that your imperfections are not hindrances, but catalysts for your extraordinary journey. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3132 Prepare to Pivot
Do you ever find yourself stuck in a cycle of doing the same things over and over again, even though deep down you know it's not bringing you the desired results? If your comfort zones aren't treating you well, prepare to pivot. Because once in a while, it's important to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co As we age, our bodies go through changes, and what used to work may not be as effective anymore. Our nutritional needs evolve, our physical capabilities may shift, and our sleep patterns may be disrupted. To adapt to these changes, we need to be willing to explore different approaches and embrace the unknown. The first step in preparing to pivot is recognizing that old habits die hard. It's natural for us to gravitate towards what we know, what feels safe and familiar. But true growth comes from challenging ourselves and pushing beyond our boundaries. Instead of fearing the unknown, embrace it as an opportunity for growth and discovery. When it comes to nutrition, it's important to listen to your body and give it what it needs. As we age, our bodies may require different nutrients and may be less tolerant of certain foods. Rather than adhering to rigid diets or strict meal plans, focus on nourishing your body with whole, nutrient-dense foods. Incorporate a variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats into your meals. Pay attention to how certain foods make you feel and adjust accordingly. Exercise is another area where we need to be open to change. Our bodies may no longer respond to the same type of exercise routines that we used to do. Instead of sticking to what feels comfortable, challenge yourself with new workouts and training techniques. Try incorporating strength training to maintain muscle mass, balance and flexibility exercises to improve mobility, and cardiovascular activities that get your heart rate up. Remember, the goal is not to be perfect but to consistently show up for yourself and make progress. Lastly, never underestimate the power of quality sleep. As we age, our sleep patterns may change, and getting enough rest becomes even more important. Establish a relaxing bedtime routine, create a sleep-friendly environment, and make quality sleep a priority. If you struggle with sleep disturbances, consider consulting with a healthcare professional for guidance and support. The K.I.S.S. ~ Prepare to pivot! Preparing to pivot requires a mindset of openness, self-reflection, and a willingness to experiment. Here are three key steps to begin identifying what isn't working and pivot toward what can escalate your desired goals: 1. Self-Reflection and Assessment Take some time to reflect on your current routines, habits, and results. Ask yourself honest questions: What has been working well for you? What hasn't? Are there areas where you feel stagnant or unsatisfied? This self-assessment will provide clarity on what needs to change for you to move forward. 2. Seek New Perspectives and Knowledge To pivot successfully, it's essential to seek new perspectives and knowledge outside of your comfort zone. Engage in self-education by reading books, listening to podcasts, or attending workshops related to your goals. Explore different viewpoints, research alternative methods, and seek advice from experts in the field. This will broaden your understanding and help you discover new approaches. 3. Identify and Challenge Limiting Beliefs Often, we limit ourselves by sticking to what we perceive as "typical" or "normal." To escalate what you are going after, challenge these assumptions and open yourself to unconventional changes. Consider areas where you have felt resistance or where you haven't explored fully. It could be trying a new form of exercise, adopting a different approach to problem-solving, or experimenting with innovative nutritional strategies. By stepping outside of the conventional, you may uncover transformations and breakthroughs you hadn't anticipated. Remember, preparing to pivot requires a growth mindset – one that embraces change, accepts challenges, and remains open to new possibilities. It's not about striving for perfection but rather being adaptable and willing to learn from both successes and failures. Cheers to progress! By actively seeking, reflecting, and making intentional changes, you set yourself on the path to discovering what works best for you and unlocking your full potential. So, prepare to pivot, and let the journey of self-discovery and transformation begin. Prepare to Pivot "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #WellnessWednesday #CreateYourNow #HealthAndWellness 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3131 Embrace the Graceful Race
In a world that glorifies speed and instant results, we often find ourselves caught up in the frenzy of constant motion. But as the great Carl Lewis, the nine-time Olympic Gold medalist, once said, "Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast." Embrace the graceful race. It seems that pushing ourselves harder, moving faster, and striving to achieve everything at once is the way to instant gratification. No one wants to wait and put in the work. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Carl Lewis, renowned for his exceptional speed and athleticism, had an insight that went beyond the conventional notions of just running faster. He understood that true speed came from finding the balance between pace, precision, and grace. His secret didn't lie in recklessly sprinting ahead; rather, it was in embracing a consistent, deliberate approach. In a world where being the "bull in the china closet" may seem enticing, Carl Lewis proved that it isn't always the best method. He consistently performed at his best when he ran at 85% effort, defying the traditional belief that faster is better. He understood that by staying within his limits, maintaining a rhythm, and executing his movements with finesse, his performance improved exponentially. The wisdom of "slow is smooth" goes beyond the realm of athletics; it holds true in various aspects of life. You often find yourself rushing through your tasks, thinking that faster completion equates to success. But in your haste, you overlook the importance of precision and attention to detail. You stumble upon unnecessary hurdles and miss out on opportunities to truly excel. The K.I.S.S. ~ Embrace the graceful race! Imagine a potter molding clay to perfection. The delicate hands of the artist move gracefully, gently shaping and refining the clay. The potter knows that rushing this process will only lead to flaws and imperfections, so they embrace each stroke with intent and purpose. Similarly, when we adopt a more deliberate pace, we give ourselves the space to grow and evolve, allowing room for creativity and insight to flourish. By embracing the philosophy of "smooth is fast," we acknowledge that rushing through life's challenges often leads to inefficient outcomes. When you take the time to strategize, plan, and execute your actions with grace, you find that the end results surpass your expectations. Difficulties become opportunities for growth, and setbacks transform into stepping stones toward success. Slow down, take a breath, and observe the grace in each movement. Find your rhythm, understand your limits, and allow yourself the time to operate at your optimal level. Remember that haste may seem appealing, but the steady, deliberate approach often leads to sustainable achievements. Don't forget the power of taking your time in a world that values speed. Just as Carl Lewis found his fastest at 85%, you, too, can discover your own version of excellence by aligning your efforts with a mindful tempo. Embrace the power of smoothness, and you'll find that your fast is no longer a hurried scramble, but an awe-inspiring journey towards greatness. Embrace the graceful race. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3130 Greatness Is Not...
When you are considering what to do next in life, a lot of the time, you fall for how it makes you feel. Greatness is not built upon feelings, but on the acceptance of what is needed and the actions that must follow. In our pursuit of success, we often prioritize our feelings over actions, believing that certain emotions will lead us to the desired outcome. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co However, genuine success is not founded on fleeting feelings but on the acceptance of our current situation and taking intentional steps toward progress. Shift your focus from feelings to acceptance, enabling you to forge a path to greatness. The K.I.S.S. ~ Shift your focus! 1. Embrace Reality Often, we resist accepting the reality of our circumstances because it may not align with our desired feelings or expectations. However, true progress begins with acknowledging where we are currently. Embracing reality requires introspection and a willingness to confront both the strengths and weaknesses within ourselves. By embracing the truth, we open ourselves up to possibilities for growth and improvement. Action Steps: - Reflect on your current situation: Take time to evaluate your present state objectively. Consider your strengths, weaknesses, and the areas that require improvement. - Seek feedback: Reach out to trusted mentors, friends, or colleagues who can provide honest insights about your strengths and areas of growth. This feedback can help you gain a clearer perspective on where you stand. - Practice gratitude: Cultivate gratitude for your achievements and the progress you have made, no matter how small. This mindset shift will help you move forward with a positive outlook and enhance your ability to accept your current circumstances. 2. Set Goals Mindfully While goal-setting is important, it's essential to shift our focus from the feelings associated with achieving those goals to the actions required to make them a reality. By setting goals mindfully, we direct our energy towards actionable steps, rather than being solely driven by an ephemeral sense of accomplishment. Action Steps: - Define actionable goals: Break down your overarching goals into smaller, actionable steps. This will help you create a roadmap that is more grounded in practicality. - Focus on the process: Shift your attention to the actions needed to achieve your goals. Embrace the day-to-day effort and progress rather than fixating on the end result. - Develop a growth mindset: Cultivate a mindset that views challenges and setbacks as opportunities for growth. Embracing a growth mindset will help you stay motivated and resilient, even in the face of obstacles. 3. Embrace Constant Learning Success is not a destination but a continuous journey. By prioritizing learning and personal growth, we can move forward with acceptance, guided by a mindset of continuous improvement. Embracing constant learning empowers individuals to adapt, evolve, and seize new opportunities. Action Steps: - Cultivate curiosity: Develop a genuine thirst for knowledge and seek out new experiences and insights. Be open to exploring different perspectives and ideas. - Invest in personal development: Engage in activities that foster personal growth, such as reading books, attending workshops or webinars, and surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals. - Reflect and iterate: Regularly evaluate your progress and the lessons you have learned along the way. Make adjustments when necessary, adapting your approach based on insights gained from previous experiences. Shifting your focus from feelings to acceptance is a pivotal step toward achieving greatness. By embracing reality, setting goals mindfully, and embracing constant learning, individuals can build a solid foundation for success. Acceptance is not about settling; it's about acknowledging where we are and taking purposeful actions to unleash our true potential. Let go of the illusory feelings, take action, and unlock your path to greatness. "Be present. Be incredible. 3129 Why Do You Hide?
During these times of doubt and uncertainty, shame covers the heart, and hope is diminished. But why do you hide? God is always by your side. I wanted to take a moment to encourage you in your faith journey, especially during times of doubt and uncertainty. When you have new seasons, that creates a discomfort that sets you off balance. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? In fact, He desires to see you grow and be set free from every captive thought that prevents you from experiencing His truth and love. In moments when darkness seems overwhelming, and struggles persist, know that Jesus stands ever-present, ready to walk with you toward the light of His truth. He understands your questions, your doubts, and your fears. He doesn't want you to isolate yourself or carry the weight of unbelief on your own. Instead, He invites you to offer up everything to Him, including disappointment, questions, and fears, as a holy sacrifice. The K.I.S.S. ~ Why do you hide? Remember, simply relying on self-effort won't resolve unbelief. It is through surrendering your doubts and fears to Jesus that you make room for His truth to settle deep within your heart. By trusting in His love and seeking His guidance, you can find peace and reassurance, even in the midst of uncertainty. It is important to remember the assurance we find in God's Word. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This verse reminds us that we can trust in God's faithfulness, even when we don't fully understand everything. My dear friend, hold on to hope and continue seeking God's truth. He will never leave you because of your questions. Instead, He desires to walk with you, guide you, and help you grow in your faith. Allow His truth to shine through the darkness and bring forth a renewed sense of faith and hope within you. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #SweetSpirit #CreateYourNow #SoulfulSunday 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3128 Strong Anchor Lines
"There's no time like the present to prepare yourself with the strong anchor lines needed to keep your relationship thriving amidst the challenges of the world." ~ Pastor Duane Sheriff Marriage is an incredible journey filled with love, growth, and shared adventures. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co However, the challenges of the world can often test even the strongest relationships. You cannot take for granted one moment of your relationship with your spouse. Next to your relationship with God, that is the most important one. Because your family is only as strong as your marriage. Now, that's a strong statement. But in today's world, there are so many distractions and temptations that you have to be ever so diligent and consistent in pouring into your marriage. You deserve it, and so does your spouse. So what Pastor Duane is saying here is that you must prioritize now, and not wait until there is a crisis. Prioritize Your Marriage NOW! The K.I.S.S. ~ Prioritize your marriage NOW! 1. Communicate Effectively Open and honest communication forms the backbone of a strong and thriving marriage. It is the foundation upon which trust and understanding are built. To establish strong anchor lines through communication, spouses should: - Active Listening: Listening attentively to your partner's words, feelings, and concerns without interruption fosters a deep sense of validation. It shows respect, builds empathy, and strengthens the emotional bond between partners. - Expressing Emotions Constructively: Sharing thoughts, needs, and emotions in a considerate and positive manner helps to bridge any gaps in understanding. Avoiding criticism and defensiveness creates a safe space where both partners feel heard and valued. - Regular Check-Ins: Initiate open conversations regularly to discuss the highs and lows of each other's lives. Whether through date nights, walk-and-talks, or simply setting aside dedicated time to connect, these check-ins establish a supportive atmosphere that strengthens the marital bond. 2. Cultivate Trust Trust forms the bedrock of a thriving marriage, nourishing emotional intimacy and fostering a sense of security. To cultivate trust and establish strong anchor lines, spouses should: - Honesty and Transparency: Being truthful and open about both the positive and challenging aspects of life cultivates an environment of trust. Sharing vulnerabilities and fears often lead to a deeper connection and a shared commitment to navigating through life together. - Consistency and Reliability: Showing up consistently and following through on commitments demonstrates reliability. Being someone that your partner can depend on creates a strong sense of security and stability in the relationship. - Respecting Boundaries: Respecting each other's boundaries and personal space is essential for building trust. It shows a deep understanding and acceptance of your partner's individuality while fostering mutual respect. 3. Prioritize Quality Time Amidst the busyness of life, making intentional efforts to spend quality time together is vital for nurturing a thriving marriage. To establish strong anchor lines through quality time, spouses should: - Date Nights: Regularly scheduling date nights allows partners to reconnect and create cherished memories. It provides an opportunity to prioritize each other, fostering a deeper emotional bond. - Shared Hobbies and Interests: Exploring shared hobbies and interests enhances the quality of time spent together. Engaging in activities that both partners enjoy helps to strengthen the sense of companionship and understanding within the marriage. - Mindful Presence: Being fully present during moments spent together, whether it's during conversations, meals, or shared experiences, is crucial. Dedicating uninterrupted time and actively engaging in communication helps to deepen the emotional connection between partners. I cannot stress enough the key to a strong marriage is the foundation you build. And that comes from building strong anchor lines in your marriage. You've got to have a continuous and intentional process that keeps the line of communication open, cultivates trust, and prioritizes quality time together. If you have these three, you are on your way to a solid foundation. Now, I believe you have to have it all in the fabric of God. But you can thrive, regardless of what you've been through in your marriage up until today, this moment, do this and you will be on your way to ensuring a thriving and lifelong bond. Remember, there's no time like the present to strengthen the anchor lines connecting two hearts in love. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3127 We Are Alone In This Together
Raising kids can often feel like an overwhelming journey. But you can stay grounded in knowing that we're alone in this together. Time to buddy up with your partner and impact the kids you've been gifted. Part of parenting comes with not navigating it alone. However, the truth is that you can think you're in this together, and be just that. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co By joining forces and supporting one another, moms and dads can create a strong family foundation that not only benefits the children but also strengthens the bond between partners. With back-to-school season upon us, there's no better time to explore the invaluable benefits of being on the same team. Be on the same team! The K.I.S.S. ~ Be on the same team! There are many ways that moms and dads can support each other, even in moments when they might feel alone. But when you work together, even if you are alone, that puts you all on the same page. Hence, we're alone in this together. 1. Create a Unified Parenting Approach One of the most effective ways to support each other in raising kids is by establishing a unified parenting approach. Sit down together and discuss parenting goals, values, and expectations. By aligning on strategies such as discipline techniques, routines, and communication styles, parents can create a consistent and harmonious environment for their children. This unified approach will not only provide stability for the kids but also promote a collaborative mindset between moms and dads. 2. Share Responsibilities Parenting can be a demanding and time-consuming task, leaving moms and dads feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Sharing responsibilities can lighten the load and ensure that both partners have an equal opportunity to bond with their children. By dividing tasks such as school pickups, homework help, meal planning, and extracurricular activities, moms and dads can support each other while fostering a sense of unity and dependability. This division of labor also allows each parent to have moments of respite and self-care, leading to a healthier and happier family dynamic. 3. Prioritize Quality Time Together In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's essential for moms and dads to prioritize quality time together. Parenthood is an incredible journey, but it's crucial not to lose sight of the partnership that laid its foundation. By setting aside regular date nights, weekend getaways, or even moments to simply enjoy each other's company, parents can strengthen their bond and remind themselves why they embarked on this journey together. Making time for each other outside the realm of parenting creates a sense of camaraderie, reignites the flame of romance, and serves as a powerful reminder that, indeed, "we're alone in this together." Parenthood may sometimes make moms and dads feel alone, but by acknowledging the strength found in togetherness, parents can create a supportive environment that nurtures both their children and their relationship. By establishing a unified parenting approach, sharing responsibilities, and prioritizing quality time together, moms and dads can stand as a united front, ready to face any challenge that comes their way. As back-to-school season approaches, let's remember the importance of being on the same team and enjoy the journey of raising kids. Because we're alone in this together. "Be present. Be incredible. 3126 The Beauty of Today
"Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength. ~ Corrie Ten Boom" This reminds us that while it is natural to have concerns about the future, it is detrimental to allow worry to overshadow the beauty of today. In the quiet moments of our lives, we often find ourselves consumed by worries about the future. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co We fret and fear about what tomorrow might bring, anxiously trying to control every aspect of our lives. But amidst this whirlwind of worry, we often forget the power that lies within us — the strength to face any challenge and find solace in the present moment. Worry is this force that ignites fear and drains our energy, clouds our judgment, and diminishes our ability to live fully in the present moment. It is like a leaky faucet that slowly drips away our strength, leaving us depleted and unable to tackle the challenges that lie ahead. The K.I.S.S. ~ The beauty of today! In the midst of life's uncertainties, it's easy to find ourselves surrendering to worry rather than embracing hope. Every day, it feels like the weight of the world sits heavily on our shoulders, dragging us down into a never-ending cycle of doubt and anxiety. But amidst the chaos, there lies a glimmer of hope - a path towards reclaiming our inner strength and finding solace in the power of the present. Mindfulness, the art of grounding ourselves in the present moment, holds the key to breaking free from the chains of worry. By consciously cultivating awareness and directing our attention to the here and now, we quiet the noise that clamors for our attention. Mindfulness allows us to cut through the fog of anxiety and focus on what truly matters, granting us peace amidst the storm. Often, our worries stem from a narrow and limited perspective. We become so fixated on a single viewpoint that we fail to see the potential for new possibilities and solutions. But by consciously shifting our perspective, we open ourselves up to a world of expanded understanding. We invite fresh insights and embrace a broader outlook, unlocking the doors to hope and resilience. Gratitude, too, offers a powerful antidote to anxiety. When we take the time to truly appreciate the blessings and joys that surround us, we shift our attention away from fear and into a space of appreciation. In this space, we find our spirits uplifted, and our inner strength fortified. With every expression of gratitude, we grow closer to realizing the depths of our resilience and the abundance of goodness that exists within and around us. It's important not to carry the burdens of worry alone. We have an innate need for connection and understanding, and sharing our worries with trusted friends, family, or mentors can bring immense relief. Their guidance, reassurance, and different perspectives provide us with the comfort and solace that we seek. Through their support, we begin to understand that we are not alone in our struggles, and together, we can overcome even the greatest challenges. However, mere contemplation and sharing our worries will not bring about the change we long for. Action is the catalyst that propels us forward. Although worry may try to paralyze us, we have the power to shift our focus toward productive action. By breaking down our concerns into manageable steps, we regain a sense of control and take hold of our destiny. Each small step strengthens our resolve, emboldening us to face the future with hope and resilience. It is crucial to remember that worry deceives us, convincing us that it is a reasonable reaction to the uncertainties that life presents. Yet, it is in worrying that we rob ourselves of the power to fully appreciate and grow in the present. Take hold of Corrie Ten Boom's wisdom and refuse to let worry empty today of its strength. May we find the courage to live fully and unapologetically in the present moment, to love deeply and authentically, and to seek solace in the beauty that surrounds us. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
