3104 Reboot Your Core
It is undeniable that your core is not just a passive element within your body; it is the intricate system that supports and harmonizes your movements. It seamlessly integrates into every movement we make without us even being aware of its significance. The term "intrinsic core" refers to the deep muscles and structures located within the torso that play a crucial role in maintaining posture, stability, and movement. It includes muscles like the transverse abdominis, multifidus, diaphragm, and pelvic floor muscles, as well as the spinal column, deep back muscles, and connective tissues. These internal core muscles work in synergy to provide support, control, and balance to the entire body, acting as a foundation for our movements. The "intrinsic core" is often contrasted with the more superficial muscles of the abdomen, commonly referred to as the "six-pack" muscles or rectus abdominis. However, as we transition into the modern world, our levels of activity tend to diminish. The sedentary lifestyle that has become so prevalent in our society disrupts the natural flow of our original "core patterns". We unknowingly fall into disjointed movement patterns, resulting in what we commonly recognize as "poor posture". With an insufficient amount of exercise, excessive sitting, and minimal lifting, pushing, and pulling, we unwittingly set ourselves up for a lifetime of unnecessary discomfort and pain. Fortunately, there is a powerful solution that can help us reclaim the balance we once had. Reboot the core! The K.I.S.S. ~ Reboot your core! By "rebooting the core" through a series of simple exercises, we have the opportunity to restore our core hardware to its optimal state. These exercises act as the catalyst for realigning our body's fundamental foundation. By engaging in these exercises daily for a mere two weeks, while maintaining a deep focus on the process through mindful awareness of the sensations we experience, we can initiate the transformation. Once we have gained proficiency in these three exercises, they can seamlessly be integrated into our warm-up routine prior to embarking on our regular exercise regimen. This new approach effectively turns every exercise into a "core exercise," as we are establishing a strong and stable core foundation that supports and enhances all other movements. Research proves the significant role of the core in maintaining a balanced body. According to a study conducted by the Journal of Physical Therapy Science, a strong core significantly reduces the risk of developing chronic lower back pain and improves overall spinal stability. Additionally, a paper published in the European Spine Journal suggests that a well-developed core enables better control of movements, leading to improved posture and reduced risk of musculoskeletal injuries. Pelvic Tilt Tighten the muscles of pelvic floor and gently press the lower back to the floor. Do 3 rounds of 10 reps Dead Bug Tighten your pelvic floor and press your lower back to the floor. Under control and without letting your lower back leave the floor, slowly extend the opposite arm and leg. Do 3 rounds of 5 to 8 reps Glute Bridge Tighten the pelvic floor. Press down through your heels and flex your glutes "up and in", driving your hips upward. Hold at the top for 2 seconds with glutes flexed. 3102 The Power of Doing

Your calling doesn't happen unless you do it. Your purpose here on earth will fall apart unless you do it. Your passion will fade into the night unless you ignite it. You have got to stay in the game of life and do what you were called to do. Just do it. Yet as easy as that rolls off our tongues, following through can be the greatest hurdle. You see all the possibilities of what might not happen. Then you wrestle with all the possibilities of what could happen. The fluctuation between this, that, and the other, only holds you prisoner to what you won't do. You must get off the baseline and begin the truck to the top of the mountain. Yes, you will run into a few valleys along the way. You might even face a few unexpected detours and visitors you have to deal with. But until you are ready to embrace the power of doing, the only results you'll achieve will be mediocre. For a season, those results might be okay. However, is that what you really want for the rest of your life? Is that where you want to land with your passion? God has equipped you to do great things. But greatness comes with a charge, and that charge is in the power of doing. Just do it! The K.I.S.S. ~ Just do it! Let me ask you. What have you been contemplating lately? You can be your worst enemy when it comes to moving forward. You can come up with every excuse under the sun to not do something. Your limitations on yourself might be the only thing standing in your way. So instead of fighting what you think might happen, just take the next step. While marriage may not always resemble the perfect love stories we see in Hallmark movies, by following certain principles and committing to a few key things, we can create a strong foundation for our marriage. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ~ (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV) At some point, you have to establish what marriage means to you. It's like asking your children to pick up their toys and clothes in their room. It just stays there and does not move. Be willing to do things God's way, no matter how hard it is. 3099 You Are More Than You've Been Told
Never does any parent want their child to feel unworthy. But in a world that knocks your kid down more than builds them up, we have to stand up and remind them– you are more than you've been told. It's unfortunate that we even have to have this conversation. And I must say, first and foremost, this is not a social media bashing session. However, there are still a lot of other factors that impact your child's self-esteem. I can remember, way back when, the word "self-esteem" was popular. And now, it's all but crickets. Do we really care about our kiddos? Now, this is an honest question that I want you to process. Because I think we have become so immune to our children's needs for the mere fact that our own aspirations and desires overcome our need to parent first. There was a story I read where a physician was killed in his exam room by a patient. And this patient is about upper 20s or so, with no prior criminal history. Now this is what I know at the time of reading the article. It is a tragic situation. I've been praying for the family. It's disturbing. And then I look at the other side, and wonder– Are we doing what our kiddos need from us? This young man could be my child, age-wise. So I want you to be honest with yourself. No one is going to look over your shoulder or grade you directly. You are grading yourself. With all of the technology and all we can do around the globe with just movements of our fingers, the distraction is HUGE!!! It's like outer space HUGE!!! And I wonder if when I had younger kids, could I have been so distracted by my dreams that I didn't give my own children the attention they deserve as their parent. What do you think? Are you giving your time, attention, and energy to the degree that is required to raise incredible kids? The reason why I ask this is because we have so many children growing up not knowing how to respect others, how to control emotions, how to act with restraint; really understanding the way we relate as human beings, not barbaric creatures. There's no blame game here. This is a safe place to really think about whether or not you are giving your children what they need. Because if they don't get it from home, and they are struggling in school with others and their friends, we have a problem. Now, this is where I believe social media comes in. Teachers and school administrators can't do everything. When are we going to start working as a team, and what part of that team are you playing on? If this is going to happen, we have to step up as a family. The K.I.S.S. ~ Step up as a family! These are things I want you to consider with your children when something is off, not normal for your child. 1. Signs of Abrupt Change -- Have you noticed any differences in their attitude, how they're dressing, the words they use, or their facial expressions. Anything that's unusual for their typical behavior. 2. Physical Touch Extremes -- Maybe your child was a hugger, and now they are not hugging at all; more distance. Or maybe they're too touchy. 3. The Hangout Buddies -- Who are your kiddos hanging out with? The same friends, or new ones. Or they more isolated? All of these are indications that something is not good. Attention is needed, bring on the Mama PI. You gotta strike while the iron's hot. Support with unconditional love. "Love vs. Yell" -- One of the most crucial aspects of supporting your child's self-worth is creating a foundation of unconditional love. Make sure your child knows that your love for them is unwavering, regardless of their achievements or mistakes. This unconditional love provides them with a sense of security, allowing them to feel confident and capable. Teach resilience. -- Resilience is a valuable skill that supports your child's emotional well-being and resilience. By teaching them how to handle challenges and setbacks, you equip them with the tools to bounce back confidently. Instill a sense of purpose. -- Another way to support your child's self-worth is by helping them find and pursue their passions and purpose in life. Help them live their lives boldly. As a parent, we take this silent, sacred oath that we will care for our children and their needs, and that includes their self-esteem. And I must add -- If at any point you feel overwhelmed as to how your child is acting and appearing to you, seek professional help! We need to raise the level of our involvement as parents. 3097 Little Things Make a Big Difference
When trying countless diets or embarking on strenuous workouts, these types of regimens are short-lived. But optimal health finds success in small steps. That's right- little things make a big difference. We live in a fast-paced world where instant gratification is the norm. We want quick fixes and instant results. It requires us to do something different, to get out of our norm. So instead of reaching for that extreme diet or obsessing over the latest fitness trends, it's time to focus on the little things that can lead to long-term success. The K.I.S.S. ~ Do the little things! Here are three ways to start doing the little things: 1. Prioritize How and When You Eat One of the most effective ways to improve your health is through mindful eating. This means slowing down and savoring each bite, paying attention to the textures, flavors, and sensations in your mouth. By doing so, you become more in tune with your body's hunger and fullness cues, and you are less likely to overeat. Start by practicing this during one meal each day. Turn off distractions, chew your food thoroughly, and take the time to truly enjoy your meal. Soon enough, mindful eating will become a habit that positively impacts your overall health. 2. Incorporate Intentional Movement into Your Daily Routine Exercise doesn't always have to involve grueling hours at the gym or intense workout sessions. It's about finding ways to incorporate movement into your daily routine. Whether it's taking the stairs instead of the elevator, going for a walk during your lunch break, or doing a quick 15-minute workout at home, every bit of movement counts. By making these small changes, you'll be increasing your physical activity level without overwhelming yourself. 3. Get Enough Quality Sleep Sleep is often underestimated in its role in overall health. Poor sleep can lead to increased stress levels, impaired cognitive function, and a weakened immune system. To prioritize quality sleep, establish a bedtime routine that promotes relaxation and creates a sleep-friendly environment. This can include activities such as reading a book, taking a warm bath, or practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation. Aim for 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night and notice how it positively influences your energy levels and overall well-being. Instead of scrolling through your phone or watching TV right before bed, try spending the last hour before sleep engaging in a calming activity like reading or journaling. Or maybe you can spend it with your sweetheart and have some alone time. You actually might find that you fall asleep faster and wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. 3096 How Do You Get Back Up?
Motivation isn't something that comes easy, nor is it something that is willed. When life pulls you down, how do you get back up? Because it's not the load that breaks you down; it's the way you carry it. How did you feel when you woke up this morning? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Or maybe you are in some struggles where you don't know how you feel or where you stand. There's a little bit of disconnect and frustration. A lot of life is lived in the latter. You're in this position of uncertainty, and more seems to be down than up. How do you get back up when all you're feeling is down? The K.I.S.S. ~ How do you get back up? Because it is SO frustrating. You want something different, but for whatever reason, you just exist. No matter what you do, there doesn't seem to be a way to get you to the other side. No saying can will you to do what just isn't happening. Being tired and not having enough energy is taxing on anyone. Being frustrated because you don't have the answer is challenging. Being so withdrawn, that you don't know if you're coming or going. When the heart isn't ready, the will can't push it. So is all hope lost? Of course not!! You have got to consider the season in which you're hanging out. You have to be real with yourself, or the result is that the reality you're in will hold you back. Genuine honesty with yourself is the best policy. Look to what you have that's going well for you. Don't smother your thoughts in what you haven't done lately. Pull up your big girl panties and get in the game of life. You are going to fall down. And the only what to overcome that is to get back up. There is no magic formula. There is no saying. There is your heart connected to a God who loves you, and regardless of your circumstances, He will carry you and be with you through your journey. The destination is not His concern, and neither should it be yours. It's your readiness to lean in more, to know Him more, to see the little blessings more, to have faith more, to glorify Him more, to love more, to forgive more, to live more. Yes, life is not easy, but the journey is definitely beautiful, especially when your perspective is from God. So whatever you face today, this too shall pass. Belief has a sound. Sometimes, the greatest challenges arise when we unknowingly embrace falsehoods, misbeliefs, or negative narratives. What does your belief sound like? These distorted beliefs can lead us astray, hindering our growth and hampering our progress toward a fulfilling life. Belief has a sound. This statement holds a profound truth - our thoughts and beliefs have a powerful impact on our lives. But it is equally important to consider the thoughts and beliefs we accept as truth in our lives. When we take what is a lie and make it our truth, we inadvertently subject ourselves to a barrage of problems and limitations. These falsehoods seep into the very fabric of our being and impact every aspect of our lives, from our relationships to our personal endeavors. The consequences of harboring false beliefs can manifest as self-doubt, fear, stagnation, and a distorted perception of reality. One of the primary problems we face when we accept lies as truths is a loss of self-confidence and self-worth. Negative narratives can chip away at our sense of purpose and hinder our abilities to recognize and unleash our full potential. By internalizing false beliefs, we create self-imposed barriers that limit our capabilities and hinder our progress. Moreover, accepting falsehoods can also strain our relationships with others. When we believe negative narratives, it can lead to distrust, suspicion, and a distorted view of others' intentions. We may find it challenging to form deep and meaningful connections, as our preconceived notions and incorrect assumptions cloud our judgment, preventing us from seeing the true nature of those around us. Another problem that arises from embracing lies as truths is the hampering of personal growth and achievement. False beliefs can confine us to a mental prison, constraining our outlook and preventing us from seeking new opportunities or exploring our true passions. These limiting beliefs can keep us stuck in unhealthy patterns, preventing us from realizing our dreams and reaching our full potential. To overcome these problems and maximize our belief for a fulfilling life, it is crucial to practice discernment and self-reflection. We must challenge the beliefs we hold, critically examining whether they align with our values, aspirations, and personal growth. Surrounding ourselves with supportive communities and seeking guidance from mentors or trusted advisors can also help us gain perspective and uncover the truth. By embracing a growth mindset and fostering a sense of curiosity, we can dismantle falsehoods and replace them with empowering beliefs that propel us forward. The K.I.S.S. ~ Foster a sense of curiosity! If belief has a sound, how can we maximize your belief to keep you going? Here are three essential practices to solidify this principle in your everyday life, supported by insightful biblical quotes and stories. 1. Embrace Positive Affirmations Affirmations are powerful tools that can reinforce positive thoughts and beliefs. By consciously choosing uplifting words and phrases, we can redirect our minds towards a more optimistic outlook. The Bible echoes this concept in Romans 12:2, where it says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Replace negative self-talk with empowering affirmations like, "I am capable," "I am worthy," or "I am loved." These statements serve as a constant reminder of your abilities and worth, helping to solidify positive beliefs. 2. Surround Yourself with Supportive Communities Remember the story of David and Jonathan? Their deep friendship showed us the power of companionship and support. Just like David and Jonathan, we also need a community that uplifts and encourages us. Surrounding ourselves with like-minded individuals who share similar beliefs and values can help reinforce and strengthen your own convictions. Seek out gatherings, groups, or religious communities that align with your beliefs. Together, you can deepen your faith and continually inspire each other to maximize your belief in yourself and your purpose. 3. Practice Gratitude Gratitude is a transformative practice that shifts our focus away from negativity and towards appreciation for the good in our lives. In Philippians 4:6, the Bible says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Take time each day to list at least three things you are grateful for. Whether big or small, these moments of gratitude anchor your belief in the abundance and blessings that surround you, fostering a mindset of positivity and attracting more positive experiences. Remember, you are not the wizard behind the curtain. If belief has a sound, you have to know what you're hearing. So listen! Belief, when maximized, can lead us toward a fulfilling and purposeful life. But again, you have to do what you can do and then give the rest to God.
