3694 God Does Not Make Mistakes
There are times in life when we question why God does what He does. We complain and get into these predicaments, proclaiming that we aren't good enough. But when it comes to moms, God does not make mistakes. Yes, it's Mother's Day, celebrating those moms who have spent tireless hours caring for the family and those closest to them. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Even though this day is to honor our moms and help them feel special, quietly, moms sit in their corners wondering if they've done enough, cleaned enough, and are good enough for the family she has. How unfair are our thoughts of ourselves? So today, instead of writing a letter or reminding moms of their value, let's look at a mom chosen by God to love and care for His Son, Jesus Christ— Mary. Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, stands out in history as a woman of extraordinary faith, grace, and devotion. As we look at her life and example, we can glean insights into how we can embody the qualities of the mom we are called to be. 1. Faith in God's Plan: Despite the uncertainties and challenges she faced, Mary's unwavering faith in God's plan is a powerful reminder of the importance of trusting in God. Like Mary, we are called to surrender our fears and doubts to God, trusting that His purpose for our lives and our children's lives far exceeds our understanding. 2. Unconditional Love: Mary's love for Jesus was unconditional and sacrificial. From the moment she cradled her newborn son in a manger to witnessing His crucifixion on the cross, Mary's love remained steadfast and unwavering. As mothers, we are called to love our children with a love that knows no bounds, a love that endures through trials and triumphs, and a love that mirrors God's unfailing love for us. Moms, we are to be a reflection of God's love. The K.I.S.S. ~ God does not make mistakes! 3. Strength in Adversity: Mary's strength in the face of adversity and suffering exemplifies resilience and perseverance. Despite the hardships and challenges she encountered, Mary faced them with courage, grace, and dignity. As mothers, we too will experience trials and tribulations, but it is in those moments that our strength and character are forged, shaping us into pillars of support and fortitude for our families. 4. Nurturing Guidance: Mary's role as Jesus' mother extended beyond physical care to encompass spiritual guidance and nurturing. She raised Jesus with love, wisdom, and a deep understanding of His divine purpose. As mothers, we are entrusted with the sacred duty of nurturing our children's hearts and souls, instilling in them values, virtues, and a strong foundation of faith. 5. Humility and Obedience: Mary's humility and obedience to God's will are qualities we aspire to emulate in our own lives. Despite the uncertainties and challenges she faced, Mary submitted herself to God's plan with humility, grace, and trust. As mothers, we are called to humbly submit to God's guidance, seeking His wisdom and strength in navigating the joys and trials of motherhood. In following Mary's example, we are reminded of the profound impact a mother's love, faith, and guidance can have on the lives of her children. Let us embrace the Mary Model of Motherhood with faith, love, strength, and humility, knowing that God equips us with the grace and wisdom we need to fulfill our divine calling as mothers. 3693 Sharing Is My Favorite
If life came to an abrupt stop, where would you be as a couple? Too much of our time is spent on the things that don't matter, so we forget about what does. Sharing is my favorite. Sharing in a marriage goes beyond splitting chores or responsibilities. It means opening up your heart, your thoughts, your dreams, and your fears to your partner. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com It's about creating a deep sense of intimacy and vulnerability that strengthens the bond between two people. Couples share their joys and sorrows, triumphs and challenges, creating a safe space for each other to be fully themselves without judgment. How are you sharing in your marriage? Communicate Openly: Communication is key in any relationship, but in marriage, it's crucial. Take the time to have meaningful conversations with your partner. Share your thoughts, feelings, and desires openly and honestly. Listen actively and empathetically to what your partner has to say. Shared Experiences: Create memories together by engaging in activities that you both enjoy. Whether it's trying a new hobby, cooking a meal together, or going on an adventure, shared experiences strengthen the connection between partners. It's these moments of togetherness that build a foundation of love and understanding. Support Each Other: In a marriage, it's essential to be each other's biggest cheerleader. Support your partner in their goals and aspirations, be there for them in times of need, and celebrate their successes as if they were your own. Sharing in each other's triumphs and challenges creates a sense of unity and partnership that deepens the love between two people. And if you want more of this, you gotta share exponentially. The K.I.S.S. ~ Share exponentially! This is where you don't put boundaries on the "why, when, how, where, and what" you always need in the marriage. But you open up the interaction with each other, giving you the space to share exponentially. Consider what you are doing now. What's working and what needs more intentionality? You must start where you are to gain traction to where you want to go. What 3 things can you do as a couple do to create space for sharing? 1. Schedule Quality Time: Set aside dedicated time each day or week to be together without distractions. Whether it's a quiet dinner at home, a walk in the park, or a cozy movie night, creating space for quality time allows for meaningful conversations and shared experiences. 2. Practice Gratitude: Express appreciation for your spouse and the things they do for you. Gratitude fosters a sense of connection and positivity in a relationship, making sharing more natural and fulfilling. Plus, it helps you recognize the goodness in your marriage. Because if you're not looking, you will not find. 3. Embrace Vulnerability: Allow yourselves to be vulnerable with each other. Share your fears, insecurities, and vulnerabilities, creating a deep level of trust and intimacy in your relationship. Vulnerability is the key to authentic sharing and emotional connection. Remember, sharing is not just about dividing responsibilities in the family, like who does what, but also about dividing joys and sorrows, dreams and fears, triumphs and challenges. It's about creating a space of love, trust, this deeper intimacy where two souls can truly connect and grow together; where me becomes we. So, wake up every day ready to move the needle closer to your spouse's heart, embracing the beauty of sharing and the depth of love you will create together. "Be present. Be incredible. 3692 Stop the Spread
Cleaning up after our children is not something parents like to do, especially the messes we helped to create; those generational habits we inherited from our upbringing. At some point, though, it's essential to sift through the tumbleweeds of our past and stop the spread of what is not beneficial in raising our children. Look at the conversations and interactions you've had over this week. How did you discipline your child when something went wrong? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Did you respond out of spite, or were you calm in your approach to understand the situation at hand? Unfortunately, a lot of parents practice reactive parenting and not proactive parenting. We hit the nail on the head when something happens, instead of forecasting how we want our children to grow up in the world, setting them up for success as they enter adulthood. Plus, if you haven't figured it out already, raising kids is not easy! It takes SO MUCH work!! But what happens is when we are in a disagreement or our kiddos have done something wrong or incorrect (in your opinion), that's the only time we jump up and make a declaration. Parents, you need to check how you parent. Do not take their voices from them. Telling your children they cannot tell you "no" only sets them up for many failures to come in the future. You want your child to speak up. Now, the tone they use or their approach might be more of what you want to focus on. But not taking their voice. They, too, need to be heard, just as you do. Maybe you were raised this way, in that no one is to say NO. But how does that serve your purpose in the long run for your child? If your child is being hurt, don't you want them to be strong enough to say NO? This is only one example. There are so many generational habits for discipline that we could talk about. But what I want today for you, Mom, is to reflect on how you parent, and make sure you are not continuing generational habits that do not support your child's mental, physical, psychological, and emotional development. If you think there might be a few, then all you do is break the cycle. The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the cycle! As a parent, breaking away from generational habits in parenting can be the key to raising well-adjusted and emotionally healthy children. Here are three things you can do to change your parenting approach and break the cycle. 1. Reflect on Your Own Upbringing Take time to reflect on your own upbringing and the parenting style you were exposed to. Consider what worked well and what didn't. Keep in mind that you will remember things differently than what happened as a child, because they are childhood memories. So, your reflection might need to involve your family to understand the specifics of what you're searching for. Recognizing patterns from past generations can help you identify areas for improvement and change. Then, you get to decide how you want to raise your children. 2. Seek Out New Parenting Resources Don't be afraid to seek out new parenting resources and information that align with your values and beliefs. There are so many opportunities for you to gain knowledge, get clarity, and understand your options to best train up your child. For example, attend parenting workshops, read books by experts in child psychology, or join parent support groups to gain fresh perspectives on effective parenting strategies. Remember, just because the resource is mentioned or noted, be sure you do your own research and what's best for your family's values. 3. Practice Present Parenting This is a practice of mindfulness in your parenting approach by staying present and engaged with your child. Actions speak louder than words. So even in the silence, they are watching. Be conscious of your reactions and responses, taking the time to listen actively and empathize with your child's feelings. By being intentional and paying attention, you can break the cycle of reactive parenting and cultivate a more positive and nurturing relationship with your child. By taking proactive steps to break generational habits in parenting, you can create a nurturing and supportive environment for your children to thrive in, fostering strong bonds and healthy emotional development. 3691 How Can You Not?
Life can get you down, and distractions can lead your day. But what matters is you. And not in the sassy "look at me" tone, yet a heart that speaks loudly in facing struggles with resilience and challenging your mind to keep going. Life is a gift. How can you not live life to its fullest? In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's easy to lose sight of our dreams and aspirations. We often find ourselves caught up in the needs and expectations of others, forgetting to prioritize our own well-being and personal growth. But amid the chaos, it's crucial to remember one thing – you matter. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Every day is a gift, an opportunity to seize the moment and live life to its fullest. It's not about being self-centered or boastful, but about honoring that God created you and embracing the journey with resilience and determination. Challenges will come your way, but how you respond to them is what truly matters. While it's essential to care for those around you, it's equally important to care for yourself. Don't neglect your own needs in the pursuit of meeting others' expectations. You were intricately designed for a unique purpose, and it's vital to nurture that purpose with love and dedication. Your life is a canvas, waiting for you to paint it with vibrant colors and bold strokes. Embrace who you are now, but don't give up on who you are becoming. The K.I.S.S. ~ How can you not? Sometimes our headspace is not the best space. It clouds our judgment, where the fires of others become our everyday priorities. Other people do matter in life, but so do you! Don't minimize what you need to maximize. You were created on purpose, for a purpose. You get to show up in the manner that feeds your soul. Now, yes, you still have responsibilities. But that doesn't mean you push yourself to the side and leave behind the calling God has placed on your heart. This is your day to shine. Love who you are. Be the person you are becoming because it's hard to stay the person you are. You got this because God's got you! "Be present. Be incredible. 3690 Make It Easy to Say YES!
Embarking on a journey to lead a healthier life often faces the hurdle of our old habits and routines. We all desire positive change, but making it stick requires one key element: make it easy to say YES! Because, quite frankly, we have so much going on that we get caught up in what everyone else wants and we forget about what we need, especially when it comes to our health. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com And for whatever reason, we always seem to be okay with putting ourselves on the back burner and doing what everyone else desires. At what point are you going to look at yourself in the mirror, with NO condescending comments about how you look or feel, and make a commitment to YOU? "If you don't put yourself in the shoes of where you want to go, you will stay planted where you are now." ~ Kristianne Wargo Nothing will change-- unless you have a 911 moment. You visit with your doctor and get results from a lab test. You get sick enough that other people have to do the basics in life for you and your family. You don't want to wait for a crisis to awaken your soul, to the point where your head has to get in the game of making changes. As I was in line picking up a prescription, I noticed how long the line was and that it wrapped around the building. And the car two vehicles ahead of me had their window cracked, only to have smoke coming out like a chimney. Really?!? Now, of course, I don't know the whole story. But if you are getting a prescription, I don't think smoking should be part of your indulgence. Your body is worth more. You were created on purpose, for a purpose. Regardless of your history and upbringing, you are cherished and called beloved by God. You are not an accident. You are worthy to be cared for and loved! So instead of making excuses and believing lies you keep repeating to yourself, make it easy to say YES!! The K.I.S.S. ~ Make it easy to say YES! YES-- to who you are and who you are becoming. YES-- to living a life worthy of enriching nutrients that fuel your body. YES-- to intentional activities that keep you moving and physically balanced inside and out. YES-- to hydrating from the inside out with water that will awaken your cells. YES-- to you! But what is your hesitation? What are your excuses in this season? What is holding your YES captive and letting NO lead the way? I want you to really think about where you are today, and if this is where you know you are supposed to be. If there is any question, you know changes need to occur. Don't wait for the cookie to crumble! You are made for more! So, how can we make the transition into a genuine transformation that will stick for longer than 72 hours? Here are three key strategies to help you pave the way towards a healthier lifestyle: 1. Simple Preps: - Take the time to plan and prepare your meals and snacks in advance. By having healthy options readily available, you are more likely to stay on track and avoid grabbing convenient yet unhealthy choices when hunger strikes. Prep ingredients ahead of time, batch cook meals, and portion out snacks to streamline your eating habits. 2. Simple Swaps: - Incorporate small changes into your routine that are easy to implement. Replace sugary drinks with water infused with fruit for a refreshing alternative. Swap out unhealthy snacks with nutritious options like nuts, seeds, or fresh fruit to satisfy cravings while nourishing your body. Park your car further away at the store so you get more steps. 3. Simple Grabs: - Surround yourself with what matters: connection with like-minded individuals who support your journey towards a healthier lifestyle, an easy workout when you didn't sleep well, or water that you can have with no thought needed. The simple grabs help when you are tempted by your old habits. And if you can get a win from a simple grab, you stay motivated for the next moment to create your now. By following these three steps, you can set yourself up for success and make it easier to say YES to a healthier lifestyle. Remember, change takes time and consistency, so be patient with yourself and celebrate each small victory along the way. With determination and a positive mindset, you can create lasting habits that will benefit your health and well-being in the long run. "Be present. Be incredible. 3688 Let Go So You Can Grow
Too much of our time is spent in the past. Why do you give more hours to something you can't change? What you have is here and now; let go so you can grow. When we are trying to live out our dreams and discover our purpose in life, somehow we forget that the past matters more than the present, or even the future. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com We tie ourselves to all the failures of what didn't work, but forget the few things that worked well. Seriously! You can't live a life on purpose with a divine design if you let your past become your present. Oftentimes, we give hope to the ashes and forget to discover the beauty in the adventure. Who you are and who you are becoming is a journey of a lifetime. If you want to grow God's way, you have to let go. The K.I.S.S. ~ Let go so you can grow! Because if you continue to hold tight onto the past, you neglect the beauty of the present and the endless possibilities of the future. Letting go is not just a choice; it's a masterpiece in motion where growth, self-discovery, and becoming who you are created to be shine brightly. Here are three transformative steps to release the past and embrace the journey of becoming the person God desires you to be: 1. Practice Forgiveness: Holding onto grudges, resentment, and bitterness only poisons your spirit and hinders your growth. To truly let go and move forward, practice forgiveness – not just toward others but toward yourself as well. Release the burden of past mistakes and choose to forgive, allowing healing and freedom to enter your heart. 2. Cultivate Mindfulness: Embrace the power of mindfulness to anchor yourself in the present moment. By being fully aware of your thoughts, emotions, and surroundings, you can let go of the grip the past has on you. Mindfulness allows you to detach from negative patterns of thinking and open yourself up to new opportunities and possibilities. Change is a constant, and growth is a choice. 3. Embrace Surrender: Surrendering control and trusting in what God has for you can be very freeing. Letting go of the need to micromanage every aspect of your life and instead surrendering to God's plan can lead to immense growth and transformation. Trust in the journey laid out before you, have faith that all things work together for your good, and release the need to constantly fight against the current. When you give yourself permission to practice forgiveness, cultivate mindfulness, and embrace surrender, you pave the way for personal growth, spiritual awakening, and alignment with God's divine purpose designed for you. Letting go is not a sign of weakness but a demonstration of strength and faith in the journey ahead. Release the past, embrace the present, and watch yourself grow into the person you are becoming in the future. This is your day to shine brightly! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3687 Will You Live While You Wait?
Waiting has become a lost art in a world that values speed and efficiency. Yet, as believers and Christians, waiting on the Lord is not passive but a powerful act of trust and surrender. Are you one who will stay lost, or will you live while you wait? Most of the time, we work for the results and not the relationship. But as people of faith, it's about anchoring your identity in God's promises and embracing each moment with purpose, hope, and courage regardless of the outcomes. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com It’s about anchoring our identity in God's promises and embracing each moment with purpose, hope, and courage. But we know that's easier said than done. Because why not cling to the results and outcomes? Why not live for what we want? In the waiting, it's not about our junk. It's about remembering whose you are. As Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Our waiting is not in vain, as you renew your spirit and trust in the unwavering love of your Heavenly Father. The only choice that makes sense is to live while you wait. The K.I.S.S. ~ Live while you wait! The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? ~ Psalm 27:1 (KJV) When do you want to grow up and be honest with yourself? You can't keep doing what you are doing if you want the life God has designed for you. That means your trust has to be greater than your fears. Your hope has to be in God, who controls all, not in your own strength. "For we walk by faith, not by sight." ~ 2 Corinthians 5:7 Other translations for 2 Corinthians 5:7 say, "For we live by faith, not by sight." Whether you walk or live by faith, you need to do it God's way. Our way only gets in His way. So as you are waiting for what God has for you, have a willing mind, body, and spirit to take the next step closest to you. One decision leads to the next step. And when you are building your relationship with God, the earthly results you are searching for are not important. Will you live while you wait? Hopefully, by being willing to take the next step, you will trust more and more that walking by faith does not have all the answers, but trusting that God's always got you, regardless of the results. Nothing is impossible! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #SweetSpirit #CreateYourNow #SoulfulSunday 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3686 Nurturing Your Spouse's Mental Health
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to get caught up in our priorities and forget to check in on our partner's mental health and well-being. While supporting each other's dreams and aspirations is essential, nurturing your spouse's mental health is equally vital for a thriving marriage. We tend to forget that a marriage takes two to tango. And that means, when your spouse hurts, you hurt. But if all we do is focus on ourselves and don't really "see" our spouse, we can miss what's right in front of us. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com There are so many things that come up in marriage that directly or indirectly affect our mental well-being. But if we don't stop to recognize or take mental note, we keep loading the trucks and living our habits. Couples may struggle to openly communicate their feelings and thoughts, leading to misunderstandings and emotional distance. And if you are hiding emotions, they are not the good ones that hang around. It's the destructive emotions that keep you on the ground. Then, you interject the fear of how your spouse sees you, like being judged or criticized, which in itself hinders them from sharing their innermost thoughts or emotions. It can get a little bit wacky! And we're not finished yet. What about all that past baggage that you and your spouse are carrying. Past experience or unresolved issues can create barriers to honest and open communication, leading to a mix of realities. That's destructive to a person and to the marriage. Just because life is crazy and the chaos has more of our attention, doesn't mean that you discount your sweetheart! You must stay in tune with where your spouse is emotionally, or you will have a totally different situation to deal with. Don't let the demands of work, family, and daily responsibilities create a wedge or even a mountain that you all can't overcome. It's time to be intentionally on the marriage you really desire and that comes with the mental health of your spouse. When you create mindful moments to prioritize mental well-being in your marriage, you can then strengthen your emotional bond and promote a deeper sense of connection, a stronger marriage. So if you want a thriving marriage, take time and look at the mind. The K.I.S.S. ~ Take time and look at the mind! If your excuses are all about how busy you are, what you still have to do, and what the kids need, you are missing the most important person: your spouse. Take the time and look at the mind. And that's their mind, and yours. What does it look like to foster a supportive environment for your partner's mental health? 1. Sit 'n Listen: Set aside regular time to sit and truly listen to your spouse without judgment or distractions. Show empathy and validation for their feelings and experiences. The goal needs to be to create a safe space for honest conversations about how they are feeling. Encourage your partner to share their thoughts, concerns, and needs without fear of criticism. You need to be there to hold them up, not keep score of their wrongs! 2. Be Intentional in the Silence: You have a greater effect on your spouse with what is not shared, and what your body and looks say. If you are mad, watch out how your face shows it. Your spouse sees more than what you say. And the same goes for you, right? You see more than what your spouse says. So be intentional in the silence and be kind to those who are in front of you! 3. Wrap Your Spouse in Gratitude: Think of it as the grateful hug. Express your gratitude for your sweetheart's support and care, and acknowledge the effort they put into maintaining their mental health. Small gestures of appreciation can go a long way in strengthening your bond. Remember, creating mindful moments for mental well-being in your marriage is an ongoing process that requires patience, understanding, and love. By prioritizing each other's mental health and well-being, you can build a resilient and supportive relationship that stands the test of time. "Be present. Be incredible. 3685 Your YES Makes All the Difference
As parents, navigating the many decisions that shape our children's lives is a constant challenge. From setting boundaries to granting permissions, we carry the weight of molding our children into responsible, compassionate individuals. But amidst the sea of no's, your yes makes all the difference. For every moment we have to say no – whether it's to a request for a late-night sleepover or an extra scoop of ice cream – there is an opportunity to say yes in a different way. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com It’s about more than just the answer; it's about the attention we pay to our children. In a world where our children are surrounded by friends, teachers, and mentors, our yes holds a unique power. It signifies that we see them, that we hear them, and that we value their wants and needs. It's about being present in their lives in a way that goes beyond permission or denial. So, how can we as parents ensure that our yes is truly impactful, beyond the words themselves? See, so they achieve! The K.I.S.S. ~ See, so they achieve! Keep in mind: This has nothing to do with being the best or perfect, or having received awards and recognition in life, for example, at school. It's all about how you recognize their presence so they know you are present. Here are three key things: 1. Be Present: Put down the phone, step away from the screen, and give your child your full attention. Engage in meaningful conversations, look in their eyes, listen actively, and show that you are there for them in mind, body, and spirit. Your body language speaks more than your words. Don't pretend that you are paying attention when you might be drifting off into another iCloud. 2. Empathize: Understand that your child's requests, no matter how small or trivial they may seem, are important to them. Empathize with their feelings, validate their experiences, and show that you care about what matters to them. Ensure your child knows that you understand how they feel. 3. Connect: Look for opportunities to bond with your child, whether it's through shared activities, quality time together, or simply being there when they need you. Establish a solid foundation of trust and understanding that extends beyond mere responses and resonates on a deeper level. Ultimately, it's not about always saying yes, but about making your yes meaningful. By recognizing the power of attention over answers, you can truly make a difference in your children's lives. So, the next time you're faced with a request, remember that your 'yes' makes all the difference — a powerful tool for connection, compassion, and an extension of your love. "Be present.
