3520 Daily Is Better Than Weekly
The daily grind can often overshadow the most important relationship in one's life - the marriage. Being present and connected in a marriage requires intentional effort and prioritizing each other. Daily is better than weekly. "You can't build a loving relationship without being present." ~ Kristianne Wargo Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co But somehow, for some reason, couples think a great marriage just happens. You and I both know that's not the case. In fact, a great marriage always requires good work. So, what can you do to build a strong marriage? The K.I.S.S. ~ Strengthen your attraction! Here are three actionable steps to enhance your marriage and strengthen your connection on a daily basis. 1. Communicate Openly and Honestly Effective communication is key to a healthy marriage. Take time each day to talk to your spouse, sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This could include discussing your day, your dreams, or even your fears. Listening attentively and empathetically to your partner is equally important. For example, make it a point to have a 'check-in' conversation every evening before bed. Share one highlight of your day and one challenge you faced. This simple practice fosters communication and emotional intimacy. Additionally, schedule regular 'date nights' where you can focus solely on each other without distractions from work or technology. "Honest communication builds trust and intimacy in a marriage. It's the foundation of a strong relationship." ~ Kristianne Wargo 2. Prioritize Quality Time Together Spending quality time together strengthens the bond between spouses and creates lasting memories. Find activities that you both enjoy and make time for them regularly. This could be as simple as cooking a meal together, going for a walk, or watching a movie snuggled on the couch. Plan spontaneous gestures of love and appreciation to keep the romance alive. Surprise your partner with a heartfelt note, a small gift, or a spontaneous picnic in the park. These thoughtful acts show your spouse that they are valued and cherished. "Quality time is not about the quantity but the quality of moments shared together. It's in these moments that connections are deepened and love is nurtured." ~ Kristianne Wargo 3. Show Gratitude and Affection Expressing gratitude and affection towards your spouse reinforces the love and appreciation you have for each other. Regularly acknowledge the little things that your partner does and express gratitude for their presence in your life. Small gestures like saying "I love you," giving a hug, or holding hands can go a long way in affirming your bond. Create a gratitude journal where you both write down things you are grateful for about each other. This practice encourages a positive outlook and cultivates a spirit of thankfulness within the relationship. Remember to celebrate milestones, anniversaries, and achievements together to honor your journey as a couple. "Gratitude and affection are the fuel that keeps the flame of love burning in a marriage. Expressing love in words and actions strengthens the foundation of your relationship." ~ Kristianne Wargo Ultimately, daily investments in your marriage yield greater rewards than occasional grand gestures. By incorporating these practices into your daily routine, you can deepen your connection with your spouse, build a thriving relationship, and create a lasting legacy of love and happiness. 3518 Engage Your Day
Why sit back and let your day rule you? Life doesn't have to be filled with question marks, fear, and intimidation. However, it does require you to engage your day. Show up or be shipped out. As you fill your life with endless distractions and relentless demands, it's easy to feel like you're merely a passenger on the rollercoaster of life. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co But what if you could shift gears and seize control of your day, instead of letting it control you? The key lies in one simple yet profound concept: engage your day! Each morning, as the sun peeks over the horizon and the day stretches out before you like a blank canvas, you have a choice. You can either passively drift through the hours, reacting to whatever comes your way, or you can actively engage with every moment, shaping your own story. Engaging your day isn't about having a rigid schedule or a detailed plan for every minute. It's about cultivating a mindset of intention and presence. It's about approaching each task, each interaction, each challenge with a sense of purpose and curiosity. It's about being fully present in the here and now to create your now, rather than getting lost in thoughts of the past or worries about the future. The K.I.S.S. ~ Engage your day! When you engage your day, you take ownership of your time and your energy. You no longer allow external circumstances or other people's priorities to dictate your agenda. Instead, you tune into your own inner compass, making conscious choices that align with your values and goals. Engagement breeds empowerment. As you become more attuned to the rhythm of your day, you'll start to notice opportunities that were previously hidden in plain sight. You'll discover moments of joy and connection that might have passed you by if you were simply going through the motions. You'll feel a sense of aliveness that can only come from living intentionally. CHALLENGE: How can you start engaging your day? Begin by setting an intention each morning. Take a few moments to reflect on what you want to create, experience, or learn during the hours ahead. It could be as simple as "I want to approach today with curiosity and openness" or as specific as "I want to complete that project I've been putting off." Throughout the day, check in with yourself regularly. Are you being mindful of your choices and actions, or are you on autopilot? Are you fully present in your conversations and tasks, or are you distracted by the chatter of your mind? By bringing awareness to your thoughts and behaviors, you can course-correct in real time and stay aligned with your intention. Engaging your day is a practice, not a destination. Some days will flow effortlessly, while others will present unexpected challenges. The key is to meet each moment with an open heart and a curious mind, knowing that you have the power to shape your experience in ways big and small. As you engage your day, you'll discover a newfound sense of vitality. Your days will be infused with purpose and passion, and you'll no longer be a bystander in your own life. So, what are you waiting for? It's time to engage your day and watch as the magic unfolds. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation π Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3517 Stop Kicking Yourself
Have you ever stopped to ponder why you'd eagerly stand in line for that mouth-watering dessert, but hesitate to commit to a life-saving habit? It's time to stop kicking yourself and hit the brakes on self-sabotage. You are made for more. And in order to start valuing your health, you have to break free from your own misery. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Self-sabotage can be insidious, creeping into our lives in subtle ways that hinder our growth and well-being. It's the voice in our heads that whispers doubt, the inertia that keeps us stuck in familiar but unfulfilling patterns. When you engage in self-sabotaging behaviors, you undermine your own progress and sabotage your chances of reaching your full potential. But why do we do this to ourselves? One reason for self-sabotage is a fear of change. Stepping out of our comfort zones and taking risks can be intimidating, even if those changes are positive. We may worry about failure, rejection, or the unknown, leading us to resist opportunities for growth. It's easier to stay in familiar, albeit unfulfilling, circumstances than to face the uncertainty of change. Another factor that contributes to self-sabotage is low self-esteem. When we don't believe in our own worth or capabilities, we may subconsciously sabotage our efforts to avoid confronting our insecurities. We undermine our own success because deep down, we may not feel deserving of happiness or achievement. Moreover, self-sabotage can stem from a lack of self-awareness. Without recognizing the patterns and behaviors that hold us back, we continue to repeat them, unaware of the negative impact they have on our lives. It's essential to cultivate mindfulness and reflection to identify self-sabotaging tendencies and work towards breaking free from them. Continuing to kick yourself through self-sabotage only leads to a cycle of misery and stagnation. You rob yourself of the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive, keeping you locked in patterns that prevent you from reaching your full potential. To break free from this destructive cycle, you must choose to stop kicking yourself and start championing your well-being. The K.I.S.S. ~ Champion your well-being! If you're searching for transformation, and if you're still reading, it's clear change is on your mind. So, let's cut to the chase and make a conscious choice to prioritize progress over procrastination, starting with being 1% better today than you were yesterday. Let's delve into actionable steps to help you stop kicking yourself and begin thriving in your journey toward a healthier lifestyle. 1. Mindful Nutrition Choices When it comes to eating healthily, it's not just about what you eat but how you eat it. Practice mindful eating by savoring each bite, focusing on the flavors and textures of your food. Avoid distractions like screens or work during meals to better tune into your body's hunger and fullness cues. Remember, it's not just about the food on your plate but the experience of nourishing your body. "Don't eat junk food alone." ~ Kristianne Wargo 2. Prioritize Physical Movement Exercise shouldn't feel like a punishment but a celebration of what your body can do. Find an activity that brings you joy, whether it's dancing, hiking, or yoga. Instead of focusing on intense workouts for hours on end, aim for consistency and enjoyment in your movement routine. Schedule regular breaks during your workday for a quick stretching session or a brisk walk around the block. "Small bursts of activity can add up to significant health benefits." ~ Kristianne Wargo 3. Cultivate a Positive Mindset Take your thoughts captive. Your thoughts can shape your reality, so why not choose to uplift yourself with affirmations and gratitude? Start each day with positive intentions and affirmations to set the tone for a fulfilling day ahead. Now, don't lie to yourself; be honest. Practice self-compassion, though, and acknowledge your accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem. Surround yourself with a supportive community that encourages your growth and celebrates your progress. "Choose hard over easy, because when you're stretched, you're strengthened." ~ Kristianne Wargo True growth often lies outside our comfort zones. By embracing challenges and committing to small, consistent intentional improvements, you make a way for a healthier and happier you. So, stop kicking yourself and start championing your well-being today. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #WellnessWednesday #CreateYourNow #HealthAndWellness π Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3516 Slow the Hustle
Too many days and nights are filled with stuff that doesn't lead us anywhere except to a menu of frustration, distress, and anxious thoughts. Why do you keep burning the candle at both ends? At some point, you need to slow the hustle. How do you really feel when you wake up in the morning? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Are you finding that you are more likely to see the negative than the positive? Are you finding that what everyone else wants gets more attention than what you need? Life doesn't have to be an "all-in" effect. The hustle and bustle really should be left to Christmas. You know, the last-minute shopping for gifts and food, and prepping for the visit of family and friends. However, that's the life we live every day!! We are being programmed to be busy, even if it's mindless. Think about social media and reels. Then, you've got YouTube. Now, all of it in small chunks can be beneficial. But if it's stirring up this "busyness" syndrome within you, how is that really benefiting your every day? Frankly, it's NOT!!!! The K.I.S.S. ~ Slow the hustle! You have got to put the brakes on, and use your head. Stop letting technology and everyone else tell you what's right for you! At some point, when you wake up, ya gotta put on your big girl panties and set the stage for the life you want to live. Yes, you have to live responsibly. You have to pay your bills, take care of the family, and make a legitimate income. But that doesn't mean you allow yourself to be walked all over. That doesn't mean that you don't have boundaries. That doesn't mean that you don't have goals and dreams. You were created on purpose, for a heavenly and earthly purpose. Don't let others tell you differently. You get to decide. However, in order for you to decide, you have to slow the hustle. Or you will miss what's right in front of you! Picture this: you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and energized, ready to take on the day. Instead of immediately reaching for your phone to check emails and social media notifications, you take a few moments to breathe deeply, savoring the stillness and quiet of the early morning. You set an intention for the day ahead, focusing on what truly matters to you and what will bring a smile to your heart. As you go about your day, you approach each task with mindfulness and presence. Instead of multitasking and rushing through your to-do list, you give each activity your full attention, savoring the process and finding joy in the journey. You prioritize self-care and mental well-being, making time for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation for your mind, body, and spirit. "Why not try lighting the candle at one end, and watch it burn even brighter!! This is your day to make a difference with your decision." ~ Kristianne Wargo Slow the hustle! "Be present. 3515 How to Overcome What You Don't Know
Fear is a real thing. And fear holds you back from living your dream. What if you could learn how to overcome what you don't know, so you can do what you're meant to do? You are made for more! People fight fear daily. They lean into it more rather than attempt to divert themselves by doing what they do know. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Lately, I've been doing what is right in front of me. No overthinking or overwhelming my thoughts. Simply looking at what needs to be done next. That breeds clarity in the to-do list, because there isn't one. It's simply doing what's next, and then rinse and repeat. Our minds can overcomplicate things, to the point of shutting our minds off due to the fact that we don't like change and prefer routine, even if that routine holds us back. At some point, we have to get it through our thick skulls that life is simpler than we make it. The K.I.S.S. ~ Do what's next! 1. PRESENCE Do what is right in front of you. Don't try to make things worse than they are. Don't try to make things more complicated. Don't try to over-dramatize life. Do what's next! 2. CLARITY Know where you are going. Clarity is your internal battery for your GPS system. If you know what you want, then you know what's next. And that gives you a simple next step. No complications. Just clarity. 3. ACTION Take A.I.M on what's next. Action ignites motivation. This is what keeps you going. Instead of fussing over how much you have to do, go do it! There are no excuses or thoughts to bog you down. Just an attitude to hit the ground running. If you were to focus on presence, clarity, and action, where do you think you would be by the end of the week? Well, I can tell you that you'll be further along than where you are right now. There's no time like the present! "Be present. Be incredible. 3514 Win the Prize
"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14)." In a world full of distractions and uncertainties, it can be easy to get caught up in the past, letting it dictate today which affects our tomorrow. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co The Bible verse Philippians 3:13-14 serves as a powerful reminder to keep moving forward, focusing on the journey ahead rather than being stuck in what has already transpired. "If you're always focusing on what transpired yesterday, there won't be any transactions tomorrow." ~ Kristianne Wargo The apostle Paul's words resonate with a timeless truth that applies to people from all walks of life. He acknowledges that he has not yet reached his ultimate goal, but he remains steadfast in his pursuit, determined to win the prize that God has set before him. His mindset of resilience, perseverance, and unwavering faith is the lighthouse for those seeking to navigate the challenges of life. Be encouraged to let go of past regrets, failures, and disappointments that may hinder your progress. Instead, fix your gaze on the future, embracing the divine purpose here on earth that awaits you. The call to "press on toward the goal" is a call to action, a call to step out in faith and trust that God is leading us toward something more significant. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo The K.I.S.S. ~ Win the prize! For many, the idea of letting go of the past can seem impossible. It requires a willingness to confront your fears, insecurities, and doubts head-on. It demands that you set aside your excuses and take ownership of your journey. But in doing so, you open yourself up to a world of Heavenly possibilities, where God's plan unfolds in ways you could have never imagined. So, as we reflect on what Paul wrote, be inspired to break free from the chains of yesterday and embrace the promise of a better tomorrow. Seize each new day as an opportunity to grow, learn, and evolve. Trust in God's divine timing and guidance, knowing that He has a purpose for you that is waiting to be fulfilled. May you find the courage to leave what isn't yours to take today, so you can take A.I.M. on what comes, Lord willing, tomorrow, and courageously accept God's adventure for you. There, in the journey ahead, win the prize for which God has called you heavenward in Christ Jesus β a life lived in alignment with His will and a soul at peace in His loving embrace. "Be present. "Sorry is not just a word; it's an action!" ~ Kristianne Wargo The K.I.S.S. ~ Make 'sorry' an action! Here are three vital steps a spouse can take to truly understand the essence of saying sorry, and to align actions with intentions: 1. Embrace Vulnerability: Rather than viewing apologies as a sign of weakness or surrender, consider them as the ultimate display of vulnerability and strength within a relationship. "Apologies pave the way for genuine communication and connection between spouses." ~ Kristianne Wargo For instance, when addressing a past mistake, instead of offering a generic apology, delve deeper into the emotions behind the action. By articulating feelings and acknowledging their impact on your partner, you can lay the foundation for authentic reconciliation. 2. Practice Active Listening: Apologies lose their efficacy when NOT accompanied by active listening. Mirroring your partner's sentiments and validating their feelings can transform a superficial apology into a meaningful exchange. "Listening is the bridge that connects two hearts." ~ Kristianne Wargo Take the time to sincerely listen to your partner's perspective without interruptions or defensiveness. By demonstrating empathy and understanding, you can enhance the healing power of your apology and establish a mutual sense of respect within the relationship. 3. Cultivate Forgiveness: True apologies and forgiveness are intertwined in the intricate tapestry of relationships. In the context of marital conflicts, forgiveness plays a pivotal role in moving beyond grievances and building a foundation of trust. By actively practicing forgiveness, both spouses can liberate themselves from the shackles of resentment and foster a climate of empathy and grace in their relationship. "Forgiveness is not a one-time act, but a continuous choice to release resentment, embrace reconciliation, and build trust." ~ Kristianne Wargo The art of saying sorry transcends mere words; it embodies a profound commitment to vulnerability, empathy, and forgiveness. By embracing these principles in our interactions with our spouses, we get to escape the confines of keeping score and cultivate a marriage grounded in mutual understanding and growth. "Authentic apologies are not merely spoken β they are felt, understood, and lived well." Strive to embody the essence of real apologies in your marriage, where saying sorry is not a mere phrase but a heartfelt expression of love and respect. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage π Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3512 Is Tough Love Still Relevant?
As a parent, have you ever wondered if tough love truly works? In today's society, there seems to be a shift towards being more of a friend to your child rather than a responsible parent. Is tough love still relevant? Is tough love really effective in shaping a child's character and future? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co "It's natural for parents to want to be their child's friend, but tough love means guiding them towards becoming who they were created to be." ~ Kristianne Wargo It's striking that balance between showing love and providing discipline. Tough love is not about being harsh or unkind to your child. It is about setting boundaries, instilling values, and teaching important life lessons. "Children need structure and guidance to thrive in the world. Tough love helps them develop resilience and character." ~ Kristianne Wargo Parenting with tough love involves showing compassion, grace, and discipline in equal measures. Compassion allows you to connect with your child on an emotional level, understanding their struggles and joys. Grace provides forgiveness and acceptance, creating a safe space for growth. Discipline sets boundaries and expectations, teaching responsibility and accountability. "Walking the fine line between being a friend and a parent can be challenging, but it is essential for your child's development." ~ Kristianne Wargo The K.I.S.S. ~ Walk the fine line! And that fine line is the balance between love and discipline, tough love--And that's where parents can raise children who are confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals. 1. STRONG VALUES Teaching them the importance of honesty, respect, and empathy builds a foundation for ethical decision-making. Instill moral principles and ethics in children from a young age. Parents can lead by example and reinforce these values through daily interactions and activities. Example: Encouraging a child to apologize when they have done something wrong teaches them the value of accountability and respect for others. Praise them when they show kindness to a classmate or share their toys, reinforcing the importance of empathy and generosity. 2. EXCEPTIONAL CONFIDENCE Encouraging them to believe in themselves and their abilities fosters self-assurance and ambition, which gives them reassurance when they question themselves between their two ears. Parents can help boost their child's self-esteem by providing encouragement, celebrating their achievements, and offering constructive feedback. Encouraging them to try new things and embrace challenges can help develop a growth mindset and resilience. Example: If a child expresses interest in joining a sports team but feels nervous about trying out, parents can support them by attending practices, cheering them on, and reminding them of their strengths. By empowering them to face their fears and take risks, parents can help build their confidence and courage. 3. RIGOROUS RHYTHMS Establishing routines and boundaries creates a sense of security, structure, and stability, nurturing a sense of discipline and responsibility. Example: Creating a daily routine that includes designated study time, outdoor playtime, family meals, and bedtime rituals can help children feel secure and grounded. Consistency in these rhythms allows children to anticipate and prepare for each part of their day, reducing stress and promoting a sense of order in their lives. "Parenting is a journey that requires patience, understanding, and unwavering love. Tough love may not always be easy, but it is a powerful tool in shaping your child's future." ~ Kristianne Wargo By embracing tough love with compassion and discipline, parents can empower their children to become who they are created to be and thrive in a complex world. Tough love remains a valuable and effective parenting strategy in nurturing well-rounded and resilient children. By blending love, discipline, and guidance, parents can cultivate a strong foundation for their child's future success and happiness. Embrace tough love with an open heart and a clear vision for your child's growth and development. "Parenting with tough love means guiding your child with a firm hand and a gentle heart." - Kristianne Wargo "Be present. Be incredible. 3411 Think Inside the Box
Sometimes, we can get entangled with all the shiny new objects: the squirrel syndrome. But if you think inside the box, then your action steps might not be as complicated and overwhelming as what you conjured up in your mind. In a world constantly pushing for bigger, better, and faster, the idea of thinking inside the box may seem counterintuitive. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co We're bombarded with messages telling us to reach for the stars, think outside the box, and never settle for anything less than extraordinary. And while ambition and drive are crucial for success, there's something to be said for embracing the power of limitations and finding creativity within constraints. Why keep reinventing the wheel? Just make it better! How often do we find ourselves chasing after the next big thing, convinced that our happiness and fulfillment lie just beyond our current reach? It's the classic case of the squirrel syndrome, endlessly searching for the elusive nut that always seems just out of grasp. But what if, instead of constantly looking outward for solutions and opportunities, we turned our gaze inward, to the confines of our own metaphorical box? Our minds are masters of deception, tricking us into believing that success and satisfaction can only be found in the grand gestures and monumental achievements. Yes--our mind plays tricks on us. So how is it tricking you? But the truth is, true progress often comes from the small, seemingly mundane steps we take each day. It's not about doing what we wish we could do, but rather about focusing on what can be done now in the present moment. Create your now! The K.I.S.S. ~ Think inside the box! By embracing the concept of thinking inside the box, you free yourself from the burden of unrealistic expectations and unattainable goals. You shift your perspective from the overwhelming complexities of grand plans to the simplicity of actionable tasks that move you forward one step at a time. It's about how you create your now, making the most of the resources and opportunities available to you in the present moment. CHALLENGE: What can you do NOW? The next time you find yourself caught up in the relentless pursuit of perfection and progress, take a moment to pause and consider the power of thinking inside the box. You may just find that the answers you've been searching for have been right in front of you all along. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation π Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
