3650 Staying Strong During Tough Times
Being a parent is a challenging yet rewarding role, especially when your child is going through some big moments. Staying strong during tough times might be one of the most complicated and pivotal moments for you as a parent. It's natural to feel emotionally drained and overwhelmed while striving to provide the support and strength your child needs. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com You give to them as much as ensuring everyone else in the family is cared for. It's a tightrope act no one wants to participate in, but one that every parent gets a taste of at some point in their life. Parenting is not fair. However, you can help yourself and your child maneuver their way through the tough times and stay balanced on the tightrope of life. The K.I.S.S. ~ Balance the tightrope! Now, there are some basics that most parents use to balance the tightrope: prioritize self-care, practice open communication, and seek professional help. Indeed, there is SO much more. Here are a few other things to think about. 1. Practice Patience and Understanding: Emotions may run high during challenging periods, and tensions may escalate. Parents need to practice patience and understanding, both with their children and themselves. Recognize that everyone copes differently and that it's okay to experience a range of emotions. You can create a nurturing environment that fosters healing and growth by showing empathy and understanding. Extending a hand with your heart will reach a lot deeper. 2. Encourage Positive Coping Mechanisms: Help your child develop healthy coping mechanisms to navigate complex emotions and situations. Encourage activities that promote relaxation, such as meditation, journaling, art therapy, or exercise. By empowering your children to express themselves in positive ways, you can help them build resilience and emotional strength to face challenges head-on. 3. Establish Routine and Stability: During tumultuous times, establishing a sense of routine and stability can provide comfort and security for your child. Create a predictable schedule that includes time for relaxation, connection, and self-care. Consistency in daily routines can help your child feel grounded and supported, even amidst uncertainty. Also, fostering a stable home environment can offer your child a sense of security and safety during turbulent times. Mom (and Dad)β You can create a supportive and nurturing environment to help your child navigate tough times with resilience and strength. And when you put it all together, that's where the magic happens, empowering you and your child to thrive in the face of adversity. "Be present. Be incredible. 3649 Break the Mold
In the busyness of our day, where time is a rare commodity and setbacks seem to be around every corner, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. Yet, deep within your heart, you know you are meant to break the mold. You are made for more! You have a purpose, a calling that God has placed within you, waiting to be unleashed; it's bubbling up and bubbling over. Despite the challenges and setbacks, it's time to break the mold and pursue your dreams with a determination that inspires your soul. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com But I get it. Setbacks are real. However, setbacks are not roadblocks; they are merely detours on the path to your destiny. Remember, I've gotten ill a few times this year, but that hasn't deterred me from what I am doing here at Create Your Now. Yes, it has slowed some projects, but I still keep going. Instead of being discouraged by setbacks, see them as opportunities for your comebacks. Each setback is a stepping stoneβ think of it as a bouncing ball that propels you closer to where you want to be. A setback can put a spring in your step if you let it. So embrace the challenges. Look at them as what they are, nothing more or nothing less. "Don't attach your heart to the outcome of your failure." ~ Kristianne Wargo That's where your resilience muscle grows. While it may seem like all this is good and well, time still is not on your side. Yet, time is merely a tool in your hands. It's not a limitation but a resource to be managed wisely. You can make the most of every moment by prioritizing your tasks, setting boundaries, and focusing on what truly matters. Use time as a tool, not as an excuse, to break the mold. The K.I.S.S. ~ Break the mold! But here's the reality. When setbacks and delays test your patience, take a deep breath and recall that God's timing is perfect. You have got to remind yourself of God's watch, not yours. Trust in His plan for your life, knowing that each delay is part of a greater design. Your dreams are not forgotten; they are simply unfolding according to His divine timing. Have faith, stay steadfast, and believe that everything will fall into place at the right moment. Despite the challenges and setbacks, never lose sight of the purpose burning within your heart. Your dreams are worth pursuing with unwavering passion and your presence. Let your passion be the fuel that propels your purpose forward, driving you to break the mold and reach new heavenly heights here on earth. As you navigate through the challenges and busyness of your day, remember that you are destined for greatness. Your watch is yelling at you that it's time to break the mold! "Be present. 3648 Take It As A New Season
In our journey towards healthy living, we often encounter obstacles and temptations that can derail our progress. However, every new day presents a fresh opportunityβ take it as a new season. Just like the changing seasons, you can view each day as a new beginning for healthy living. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com What does your day look like now? Are you pressed for time? Are your finances holding you back? Do your excuses make it easier to not do what you know you need to do? Maybe the pain isn't significant enough and the status quo is okay for now. But how are you going to feel 2 days from now, or 2 weeks, or 2 months? If you want to live healthy and enjoy life more, having boundaries and making yourself a priority this Spring is the best way to rock your new season! The K.I.S.S. ~ Rock your new season! Here are three simple strategies to help prioritize healthy living even when life gets busy: 1. Set Realistic Goals: Begin by setting achievable and realistic goals for yourself. Whether it's committing to a 30-minute workout, preparing homemade meals instead of ordering takeout, or getting a good night's sleep, setting specific goals can help you stay on track even during hectic days. 2. Create a Routine: Establishing a daily routine that includes healthy habits can make it easier to prioritize your health. Schedule your workouts or meal prep sessions at the same time each day to create consistency. Having a routine can help you stay organized and ensure that healthy choices become a natural part of your day. 3. Practice Self-Care: Remember that taking care of yourself is essential for overall well-being. Incorporate self-care activities such as meditation, pilates, yoga, or simply taking a few moments to unwind and relax. By prioritizing self-care, you can reduce stress, improve your mental health, and make healthier choices throughout the day. By approaching each day as a new season and embracing the opportunity for growth and positive change, you can make healthy living a priority even when life gets busy. Remember, every small choice you make contributes to your overall health and well-being. So, take it one day at a time. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo Let your commitment this spring blossom into a healthier lifestyle. "Be present. Be incredible. 3647 Match Your Energy
Why is it that we experience moments of boundless motivation to times when we feel utterly depleted? Life's roller coaster is ridiculous, but it's also beautiful when you match your energy. That's lifeβ the natural ups and downs. But what if instead of resisting or forcing your way through, you grab ahold of what you have and use it in the moment? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Matching your energy is about embracing your current state, whether it's a whirlwind of productivity or a gentle lull. It's your presence that counts. By tuning into and aligning with your inner vibe, you can achieve a sense of flow and balance that propels you toward your goals. It's all too common to push ourselves beyond our limits when we're riding high on motivation, only to crash hard when the energy fades. Likewise, during moments of depletion, we may beat ourselves up for not being as productive as we think we "should" be. But what if we viewed these ebbs and flows as natural cycles that can be harnessed for our benefit? The K.I.S.S. ~ Match your energy! When you're buzzing with energy, seize the moment to tackle tasks that require focus and drive. Harness this momentum to make strides toward your ambitions, knowing that you're in sync with yourself. And when your energy wanes, instead of fighting against it, pivot toward activities that nourish and restore you. Take breaks, practice self-care, and recharge your batteries so that when the energy surges anew, you'll be ready to ride the wave once more. By matching your energy, you not only honor your internal rhythms but you also cultivate a sense of self-awareness and compassion. You learn to listen to your body and mind, giving yourself the grace to ebb and flow with the tide of life. So, how are you feeling today? Remember to match your energy when you feel the tides of energy shifting within you. Trust in the power of finding harmony within yourself, and watch as you navigate life's currents with grace and intention. "Be present. Be incredible. 3646 How to Silence the Voice in Your Head
Do you often find yourself battling the negative whispers in your mind that chip away at your self-worth and motivation? It's time to take control and learn how to silence the voice in your head. But is that even possible? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com How many years have you been saying the same thing? Better yet...How many times have you repeated what you told yourself in high school? Unfortunately, that's the life many people live every day. We get up with the same voice in our head, yet we're quick to complain about our spouse or the children. And sometimes, we get rid of the spouse. But how come we can't kick the voices in our heads that are destructive and dismantling our well-being? We sacrifice ourselves for the sake of others' lies?!? And for what? For their gain, and your loss? Life isn't fair, but you can play the game for yourself more fair. But you have to be willing to get in the game! The K.I.S.S. ~ Get in the game! I have been traveling once again all the while enjoying some incredible basketball games. When it comes to March Madness, the "madness" has nothing to do with the game, but everything to do with the heart. This is the time when teams and individuals rise above their own ceilings. They create new records to be broken. But it all comes from them getting in the game! Here are three powerful strategies to help you get in the game of life: 1. Cultivate Self-Compassion: - Practice mindfulness and self-awareness to recognize when self-doubt creeps in. - Replace self-criticism with self-compassion by speaking to yourself as you would to a friend in need. - Celebrate your victories, no matter how big or small, and acknowledge your worthiness. 2. Channel Your Passion: - Identify your passions and interests to fuel your drive and enthusiasm. - Set inspiring goals that align with your values and aspirations. - Surround yourself with supportive individuals who uplift and encourage your passions. 3. Take Purposeful Action: - Break down daunting tasks into smaller, manageable steps to prevent overwhelm. - Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. - Stay committed to your goals by staying focused on your "why" and the positive impact you can make. You get to choose how you show up every day. What will today be like? "Be present. Be incredible. 3645 So That
In moments of chaos and confusion, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. The mess that surrounds us can often cloud our vision, making it difficult to see beyond our current circumstances. Yet scripture tells us moreβ so that. As believers, we are reminded in the Bible that there is always a deeper purpose behind our trials and struggles - a "so that" pointing us toward hope and redemption. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com One of the most powerful verses encapsulating this concept is found in John 9:3, where Jesus says, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." Here, we see that even in the midst of suffering, there is a greater purpose at play - one that is rooted in glorifying God and His work in our lives. Similarly, in Romans 8:28, we are reminded that "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." This verse serves as a beacon of hope for those feeling lost in the chaos, reassuring us that God is working in and through our struggles to bring about something good and transformative. The K.I.S.S. ~ So that! So that you can move beyond the earthly failures and see the heavenly blessings here on earth. As we navigate the challenges and messiness of life, it is important to hold fast to the truth of 1 Peter 4:12-13, which says, "Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed." This passage reminds us that our suffering is not in vain but serves a greater purpose in revealing God's glory in our lives. So, to the one who finds themselves surrounded by chaos and disappointment, take heart in knowing that your mess is not the end of the story. There is a "so that" waiting to unfold, where God's glory will shine through and bring about beauty from ashes. Rest in the assurance that you are His beloved child, and He is faithfully working all things together for your good. In the words of 2 Corinthians 4:17, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." Let this truth be a source of encouragement and strength as you journey through the chaos, knowing that the God of all comfort is with you every step of the way. "Be present. Be incredible. 3644 Asking Takes Courage
Communication is key in marriage. Many spouses struggle to ask for help, feeling guilty or burdensome when they do. Asking takes courage, and it's a sign of strength, not weakness. So why don't we do it more often? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com There are so many reasons why we don't ask. Fear of Rejection: Spouses may hesitate to ask for help or communicate their needs out of fear of being rejected or judged by their partner. Assumption of Mind-Reading: Some spouses may believe that their partner should intuitively know what they need without having to explicitly ask for it, leading to miscommunication and unmet expectations. Guilt or Shame: Feelings of guilt or shame can prevent spouses from reaching out for assistance, as they may perceive themselves as burdensome or inadequate for needing help. Lack of Prioritization: Balancing household responsibilities, work commitments, and other obligations can make it difficult for spouses to prioritize communication about their needs and seek the support they require. Communication Barriers: Poor communication skills or unresolved conflicts within the relationship can create barriers to effectively expressing needs and asking for help. Independence: Some spouses may have a strong sense of independence and struggle to show vulnerability or rely on others for assistance, leading to a reluctance to communicate their needs. Do you identify with any of these? And maybe you have thought of others. Understanding these pain points can help you overcome barriers to effective communication and create a more open and supportive marriage built on trust, empathy, and mutual understanding. However, if you are going to get anywhere with communication, you've got to speak up and ask! The K.I.S.S. ~ Speak up and ask! Don't assume that your spouse is going to read your mind. I've been married and together for over 35 years now, and he still cannot read my mind. Now, I can read his mind, LOL! But that doesn't change the fact that we still need to feel comfortable, safe, and secure in sharing our thoughts, feelings, and needs with the one we love most. Come on, let's be real! Here are three ways to cultivate the courage to speak up and ask for what you need: 1. Set Aside Time for Honest Conversations: Create a safe space where you and your spouse can have open and honest discussions about your needs and expectations. Schedule regular check-ins to address any concerns or requests for support. By establishing clear communication channels, you can build trust and understanding in your relationship. 2. Practice Self-Advocacy: Recognize that it's okay to prioritize your well-being and ask for help when necessary. Practice self-advocacy by acknowledging your own needs and vocalizing them to your partner. Remember that a healthy relationship is based on mutual support and cooperation, so don't hesitate to express your concerns or ask for assistance. 3. Frame Requests Positively: When asking for help, frame your requests in a positive and constructive manner. Instead of focusing on what your spouse isn't doing, highlight how their assistance would benefit both of you. By emphasizing the positive outcomes of their support, you can encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving and strengthen your bond as a couple. By cultivating the courage to speak up and ask for help in your relationship, you can foster a deeper connection with your spouse and create a more supportive and harmonious partnership. Remember, it's not a sign of weakness to seek assistance β it's a testament to your strength and commitment to building a healthy and fulfilling marriage because you care about each other. Asking takes courage. So, go and do it! "Be present. Be incredible. 3643 It Takes What It Takes
Parenting is a journey full of ups and downs, laughter and tears, joys and challenges. While showering our children with love and affection is essential, sometimes it takes what it takes. There are times when tough love is required to teach important life lessons and instill values. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Now, it's not going to be easy. At times, you will lose sleep. But you have to understand that when it comes to raising kids, it takes what it takes. You will give up what you thought you would never have to. You will learn to shut your mouth even though you want to scream. You will experience more frustration than ever before. But you can't fret over what you can't control. If you were to worry about everything to come, you would never enjoy life and the stages your children go through. So, instead of living frantically, do what it takes. The K.I.S.S. ~ Do what it takes! Here are three ways for parents to stay encouraged and confident when they have to do what it takes: 1. Trust Your Instincts: As a parent, you possess a deep intuition when it comes to understanding what is best for your child. Trust your gut feelings and convictions when making tough decisions, even if they seem difficult in the moment. Remember, tough love today can pave the way for a brighter tomorrow. 2. Stay Committed to Long-Term Goals: Parenting is a long-term investment in shaping the future of your children. Keep your eyes on the bigger picture and remind yourself that the challenges you tackle today are paving the way for your child's growth and development. Maintain a balance between short-term discomfort and long-term benefits. 3. Seek Support and Guidance: Parenting is not a solitary journey. When faced with tough decisions, reach out to other parents, mentors, or professionals for advice and support. Sharing experiences and gaining insights from others can boost your confidence and help you stay committed to doing what it takes for your child's well-being. Remember, being a parent is a journey of growth and learning, both for you and your child. Embracing tough love when necessary is a part of that journey, shaping resilient, responsible, and compassionate individuals. Trust yourself, stay focused on your goals, and seek support when needed to navigate the challenges of parenting with love and strength. "Be present. Be incredible. 3641 Dine With Wisdom
With tempting treats and convenient fast food, it can be challenging to prioritize our health when it comes to eating. However, making conscious decisions about what we eat is crucial for our overall well-being. Dine with wisdom. Because, as you know, whatever is put on the table is feasted upon. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co Good, bad, or ugly. As we age, it's vital that we tap into our wisdom and experience. You can go get all the gadgets and equipment you want, but until you're ready to sit with what's in front of you, nothing is gonna change. You'll remain strapped to your habits and more unkind whispers in your head. Then, your heart has to deal with life as you beat yourself up over not being enough. Sounds familiar, huh?!? I want you to pause for a moment. Before you sit down at the table, give yourself a hug! If you have a mirror around, smile and tell yourself you're beautiful. Then, it's time to dine with wisdom! The K.I.S.S. ~ Dine with wisdom! If you don't start putting yourself first, you will always be putting yourself on hold. Take AIM. You deserve to treat yourself better. Kindness goes a long way, and it starts there. Here are three things you can do to dine with wisdom: 1. Plan Ahead: - Create a weekly meal plan that balances nutritious meals and snacks. - Prepare healthy ingredients in advance to reduce the temptation of ordering takeout or grabbing processed foods. - Consider meal prepping on weekends to have healthy options readily available during busy weekdays. 2. Choose Mindfully: - Pay attention to your body's hunger and fullness cues to avoid overeating. - Opt for whole, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. - Practice mindful eating by savoring each bite, chewing slowly, and enjoying the flavors and textures of your food. 3. Stay Hydrated: - Drink an adequate amount of water throughout the day to support digestion and overall health. - Limit sugary drinks and opt for water, herbal teas, or infused water for hydration. - Incorporate hydrating foods like cucumber, watermelon, and leafy greens into your meals to increase your water intake. ***Try drinking a whole lemon every day. Drinking lemon water daily can offer several health benefits, including boosting your immune system with vitamin C, aiding digestion, and promoting hydration. It may also help prevent kidney stones and potentially support weight loss efforts. By incorporating these simple yet effective strategies into your daily routine, you can make smarter choices that nourish your body and support your well-being. Remember, you deserve to prioritize your health and make choices that align with your goals for a healthier and happier you. Start dining with wisdom today! "Be present. Be incredible.
